Questlove Calls For People To ‘Channel Your Rage Into Action’ In Protest Of Roe V. Wade Possibly Being Overturned
Earlier this week, people all over the country were sent into absolute shock when a draft opinion of the Supreme Court’s ruling on Roe V. Wade leaked to the public. In this draft, it was revealed that the Supreme Court would overturn the famous 1973 decision which protected womens’ right to have a safe and legal abortion across the country. The news sparked reactions from all corners of the world, including those in the music world like Halsey who called the decision “one of the most significant events we will witness in our lifetimes” that will “spiral into lethal situations for our entire country.”
Now, recent Grammy-winner Questlove has commented on the matter, but his thoughts arrived in a form of a call to action. In a post he shared on Instagram, Questlove asked his followers to “channel your rage into action” before sharing his thoughts on how men specifically should react to Roe V. Wade possibly being overturned.
“Men we of all people need to rally behind this,” he wrote. This isn’t a ‘ahh man that’s a woman’s thing.’ Someone in our life be it your mother, your daughter, your sister, your cousin, your aunt, your next door neighbor, your girlfriend, your other girlfriend, your side jawn, your co-worker, a bff of one the aforementioned and ESPECIALLY you. If this effects them? It effects us.”
He continued, “Trust me I just wanna wake up, look at my social media, eat a grilled cheese, watch soul train, and figure out how to stump wordle. But we are in a state of emergency right now.”
Later on in the post, Questlove asked that people protest and fight for others if they won’t do so for themselves.

But we are in a state of emergency right now.
And this subliminal retaliation should not come as a surprise to anyone (best believe this is payback for voting a black woman in the Supreme Court. No one is saying this so I’ll say it) yes….it’s a burden. And it’s easy to give up (especially my age in which if you’re optimistic you’re like “I got less than 40 years left, I’m out of here”—-thing is I got people I love born 10 years ago that have to be here til 2080—-it’s a novel idea: thinking of someone else. If you don’t participate cool, at least rp/add to your stories.”
Will.i.am Explains To Talib Kweli Why He Was “Hurt” By Kanye West’s “Drink Champs” Disses
A couple of music icons were taking a stroll down memory lane recently when Will.i.am sat down with Talib Kweli for the latter’s People’s Party podcast. The Black Eyed Peas hitmaker reflected on Kanye West’s explosive interview with Drink Champs where he dropped all sorts of gems—and insults—and it was Ye’s remarks about Kweli that rubbed Will.i.am the wrong way.
“The only times I talk about Ye, I feel conflicted, like a lot of people,” he said, adding that because he knows West on a personal level, he can see that the persona the rapper portrays to the public isn’t always how he is behind the scenes. “He’s different than the person he broadcasts.”

“The broadcasting of Kanye is different than the actual Kanye that you sit and talk to—the sensitive one,” Will.i.am said. “When these two things exist in the world, the broadcast hurts… You’re like, ‘Yo, that’s my dude.’ One of the things that hurt me on Drink Champs was when he said, ‘I used them.’ That really hurt. I’m like, ‘What?’”
West was speaking about the early days of his career and said he “used” Kweli on The College Dropout (they collaborated with Common on “Get Em High”). Initially, Will.ii.am wasn’t happy about the remark, but after revisiting the lyrics to “Get Em High,” a track that also featured an addition from Kweli’s then-girlfriend, Will.i.am claimed that West sneaky dissed Kweli on the track.

50 Cent Mocks Dave Chappelle’s Attacker After Sharing His Battered Photo
By now, you’ve probably already heard about 23-year-old Isaiah Lee who ran on stage during Dave Chappelle’s show and attempted to attack the comedian with a knife. Chappelle was defended and Lee was photographed as he was handcuffed to a gurney as EMTs wheeled him to a transporting vehicle. It was evident that Lee was savagely taken down backstage because he was pictured with visible bruises, cuts, and an arm that looked as if it was out of place.
Chappelle was entertaining a crowd of fans for the Netflix Is A Joke Festival and later, both Netflix and Chappelle’s representative issued statements.

A Netflix spokesperson reportedly said: “We care deeply about the safety of creators and we strongly defend the right of stand-up comedians to perform on stage without fear of violence,”
Chappelle’s rep added: “The performances by Chappelle at the Hollywood Bowl were epic and record-breaking and he refuses to allow last night’s incident to overshadow the magic of this historic moment.”
Meanwhile, several entertainers and celebrities, many friends with Chappelle, have also voiced their opinions on the chaos that ensued. 50 Cent never misses an opportunity to add his commentary, and over on Instagram, the media mogul shared the battered photo of Lee with a caption.
“[Eyeball emojis] look at this fools head, LOL I bet that’s the last time he gonna try to run on stage. wonder what the LGBTQ community is gonna say about this? This is not a good look.” Check it out below.

Marcellus Wiley Gives Play-By-Play Of Dave Chappelle Attack
By now, everyone knows that Dave Chappelle was attacked on stage last night while performing at the Netflix Is A Joke festival. At one point in the event, a man jumped on stage and attacked Dave from behind, which then prompted a massive frenzy in which numerous men ran after the attacker and left him bruised, bloodied, and broken. It was an absolutely wild scene, and since then, the attacker has been arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.
According to TMZ Sports, former NFL player Marcellus Wiley was in attendance at the event and he witnessed the whole thing. By his account, Chappelle actually missed his shot when trying to subdue the man, however, he was impressed with the efforts of Jamie Foxx. Either way, Wiley was very shocked by what took place.

Per Wiley:
“Yea, I was in the building man, and it was crazy to be there,” Wiley said. “Lot of stars in the building, but the moment it occurred is crazy ’cause it was time to leave. Dave was leaving the stage and coming back for an encore. Now, I’m gonna say he missed his moment, too, because he missed that tackle. As a former football player, he could have got a lot cleaner hit, but he’s not a former linebacker. But, he tackled Dave, and then next thing you know, the dude gets up, takes off running thinking he Barry Sanders. And boy, that’s when security started working. About 50 people — including Dave, Jamie Foxx — you just saw everyone just bum rush this dude in the corner right in the back. It took about 3-5 minutes to finally get the dude out of there. It was a lot of elbows, a lot of stomping, and a lot of people who were upset at that moment.”
Chappelle’s representative already released a statement on the matter, saying “The performances by Chappelle at the Hollywood Bowl were epic and record-breaking and he refuses to allow last night’s incident to overshadow the magic of this historic moment.”
Simply put, Chappelle doesn’t think this attack is that big of a deal.

Patrick Beverley Disses Warriors Following Ja Morant Explosion
Patrick Beverley is one of the best trash talkers in the entire NBA. Throughout this season, he was able to force his will as a member of the Minnesota Timberwolves, and he was a huge reason behind them going to the NBA playoffs. He was also a big factor in the series against the Memphis Grizzlies, and while the T-Wolves ultimately lost, they still have the Grizzlies a very good fight.
Now, the Grizzlies are playing against the Golden State Warriors, and they even stole a win last night thanks to the 47-point performance from Ja Morant. If you watched the series against the Grizzlies, you would know that Morant did not play very well. With that being said, Beverley thought last night’s performance was a bit curious.

In true Beverley fashion, he felt like he needed to get his insults in, as he took to Twitter saying “47 piece…didn’t happen in our series. Just sayin. #facts.” Of course, this is a pretty wild thing to say considering the Grizzlies still beat the T-Wolves. Sure, the T-WOlves did a good job at containing Ja, but they certainly didn’t so much in terms of actually winning the series.
Either way, you have to respect Beverley for always keeping that same energy. He is someone who does not care what fans have to say about him, and this is yet another example of that.
