Nicki Minaj Responds To “RHOP” Star Mia Thornton After Gifting Cast’s Kids With Gucci

After it was suggested that Nicki Minaj shaded one of the Real Housewives of Potomac cast members, the rapper quickly stepped forward with an explanation. We previously reported on Nicki sending holiday gifts to the children of the cast of RHOP including Ashley Darby, Gizelle Bryant, and Robyn Dixon. It seems that Nicki went wild at the Gucci store and purchased luxury presents for the youngins.

Meanwhile, cast member Mia Thornton’s child didn’t receive anything from the Queen rapper and she later went online to speak at length about the exclusion.

In her video, Mia spoke once again about her terrible childhood and said that she doesn’t mess around when it comes to her children. She added that she would take her son to the Gucci store himself so he didn’t feel left out, but Minaj returned to Twitter to clarify that she tried to reach out to Thornton but couldn’t find her Instagram profile.

“Mia, I was following you on IG but then your page disappeared,” Nicki tweeted. “I asked and no one knew for sure how to find you or what was your real page anymore. I have receipts, I’ll gladly post them if you’d like me to. I don’t play like that about children. Pls send me the addy mama.”

Her fans brought up the RHOP reunion where Thornton seemingly clashed with Minaj are her castmates, while also sharing screenshots of Instagram Story posts that Mia allegedly deleted following Nicki’s explanation.

Ciara Was Moved To Tears As Normani Praised Her For Influencing Career

This is reportedly the last season of The Ellen Show and it’s fading to black with a series of celebrity guest hosts. Ellen DeGeneres has been hit with a scandal that influenced her decision to end her long-running talk show in 2022, and in recent months, viewers have watched as these guests hosts share memories with their famous friends.

Recently, Ciara and Normani were able to sit down together and the singer shared stories about dancing in Venice with Megan Thee Stallion. Normani recalled that by the end of the night, her dress was ripped from going so hard.

Also during the chat, Normani fawned over Ciara and brought the R&B icon to tears.

“I’ve always felt like representation was so key, and being a little girl in my grandmother’s living room learning the ‘1, 2 Step,’ ‘Goodies,'” Normani said. “Literally, the earliest memories that I have, like you were a part of that and you really helped shape the artist and woman that I felt like I could be.”

“You opened my mind to those possibilities. Like, Black Girl Magic.” Ciara did her best to mask that she was overwhelmed with emotion, but cameras caught tears swelling in her eyes. “Don’t make me cry!” she said. “That means a lot… I got a little emotional.” Check out the heartwarming exchange below.

Normani Says Her Debut Album Is ‘Almost Done’ During An Interview With Ciara

Normani holds one of the most sought-after and long overdue albums in music. Fans of the former Fifth Harmony member have been waiting for a solo effort from her since her arrival as a solo act in late 2018. Three years later, after multiple false starts, award show performances, and the sensation that was “Motivation” and its music video, Normani will close 2021 without her long-awaited debut. As disappointing as that might be to some, there are great signs of it arriving in 2022. During an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which was guest-hosted by Ciara, Normani delivered an update about her first full-length project.

Normani announced that her debut is “almost done” and also spoke about the difficulties of perfecting the project. “People really underestimate how hard it is and how much effort we put into one project, one body of work,” she said. “Coming out of a girl group, there was a lot that I had to figure out about myself and fears that I had to deal with head-on … When you give your baby out to the world, which is our music, that’s the deepest part of me.”

She continued, “You give people the opportunity to kind of pick it apart and have an opinion on it, but I believe in what I’m doing now.”

During the conversation, Normani also took a moment to show Ciara some love for how she influenced her. “From literally the earliest memories that I have, you were a part of that and you really helped shape the artist and the woman that I felt like could be,” Normani said. “You opened my mind to those possibilities. Black girl magic!”

Hitmaka & DJ Mustard Feud Over Catalogs After “Joe Budden Podcast” Clip Resurfaces

No, it’s not rappers who are going back and forth over catalogs today, it’s producers. As Erykah Badu famously told the world, artists are sensitive about their crafts, and after a Twitter user posted a clip of an interview Hitmaka previously did with The Joe Budden Podcast, things got a tad spicy on the platform. In the clip, Hitmaka suggested that he would stand tall against DJ Mustard in a Verzuz battle, and Mustard couldn’t help but comment.

He’s high man lol,” Mustard wrote. Hitmaka responded with, “No I ain’t. In the last 5 years since last time we worked I’ve sold more records & have more number 1’s than you. Im a light one up tho.”

“Lmfao the fact that you believe that shows how high you really are lol,” Mustard replied. The commentary continued as Hitmaka continued to face off with Twitter users who attempted to downplay his accomplishments. “I really got records that’s triple & double platinum & one that’s almost 10 million when bro was like a sophomore in HS he play sum from 2012 I can go there.”

He followed up by once again tweeting to Mustard, “Whole game talking now u took it viral might as well gone head get ya 20 @mustard I’m the underdog we both get high I know u ain’t ducking… We can put sum personal bread up make it interesting.” Meanwhile, Mustard has been trolling Hitmaka by showing off his awards and trophies.

Check out a bit of the exchange below and let us know who you believe would take the crown in a Verzuz battle between these two.

Kanye West, Shyne, & J. Prince Connect In Belize To “Strategize” For 2022

More moves are being made and J. Prince is ushering 2022 with a bang. The Rap-a-Lot Records icon was instrumental in reuniting Drake and Kanye West for the mega-Larry Hoover Concert event. It was the first time that the two formerly-feuding artists joined together on stage in years and Prince was the catalyst to seeing reconciliation. The concert went on without a hitch and continues to be talked about weeks after its takeover.

Prince is back to shaking things up as it looks as if he’s in Belize with Ye and former Bad Boy Records hitmaker turned politician, Shyne.

“I’m ending 2021 with a bang on Prince Island. We’re In the water strategizing our future moves for 2022. We Love Belize,” Prince penned in the caption to a post showing him in the clear waters with Dre Prince, Ye, and Shyne. It’s is clear they are cooking up something, but no one shared any information as to what this meeting in the sunshine was about.

Over on Shyne’s page, he uploaded a video of Kanye speaking on how he loves both Shyne and Belize. It may be a brief clip, but West truly looks as if he’s enjoying reconnecting with his friends and associates. Check out the posts below.

Yo-Yo Talks Romance With Tupac, Refutes Jada Pinkett Smith Was The Love Of His Life

We’ve often been confronted with memories of Tupac Shakur and Jada Pinkett Smith‘s unconventional, yet close friendship. Poems penned by the late rapper continue to be auctioned off, and the world has received glimpses of notes Tupac wrote about the actress. The two had known one another from their youths, and it has widely been hailed that Jada was the love of Shakur’s life even though they never dated.

However, one of the original queens of Rap, Yo-Yo, recently caught up with EURWeb Spotlight to speak about her romance with Tupac. According to the Rap icon, Jada wasn’t the one Pac wanted to be with.

We were in love and we loved each other until the day he died, ” said Yo-Yo. “Pac became like a brother to me. We were just two people on the road who found each other, fell in love with each other. We spent many nights on the road together. He wasn’t perfect nor was he trying to be. He wasn’t afraid to talk about his community, about his parents, stuff that people don’t what to hear about, stuff people don’t want to talk about. People don’t want to talk about their truth. That kind of love he had for truth made me love him more. ”

“Tupac had a love for Jada but he had a love for women. Anyone he dealt with he loved,” she added. “He had many loves. He loved sincerely and if he gave you a piece of him you would remember, He probably slept with some of friends, but we all love him.”

She also spoke at length about Tupac’s activism being sincere and that as his career evolved, so did Pac, as he wanted to leave a positive impact on his community. Watch Yo-Yo’s interview below.

Police Issues Statement After Jack Harlow Calls For Officer To Be Fired

A recent Jack Harlow concert in Atlanta has caused a stir with the Cobb County Police Department. Harlow’s shows aren’t usually places that go viral over scandals or controversies, but after the rapper received a brief clip of an interaction between one of his fans and a police officer, Harlow shone a light on what he says was a blatant misuse of authority. In the video, a Black woman is seen yelling at two officers, telling them that all she wants to do is to go to Harlow’s concert. In the middle of the confrontation, one of the officers grabbed her by the neck.

“I look out in the crowd every night and see black women in my front row…screaming my lyrics, traveling to see me, supporting me, riding for me,” Harlow wrote on Instagram.

“I want this woman, and every black woman that supports me to know – I am so sorry. I want you to be protected and I want this guy to lose his job so f*cking fast. I love you. Let’s find this officer.” The incident is reportedly being investigated and a statement has been issued regarding the officer’s actions.

“The Cobb County Police Department takes any and all allegations of officer misconduct very seriously,” a spokesperson for the police department said. “We are aware of the video snippet posted to Instagram involving our officer and a young woman outside the Coca-Cola Roxy. The incident is going through an internal review to get a full understanding of the entire incident before any potential action is taken.”

Roddy Ricch Says He’ll Drop ‘Feed Tha Streets 3’ In 2022

The music world went two years without a new project from Roddy Ricch. He shot to stardom in early 2020 after releasing his debut, Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial, at the end of 2019. It spawned hit records like “The Box” and strong collaborations with the with Gunna, Ty Dolla Sign, Mustard, and Meek Mill. What followed was a period of near-silence from the Compton native, a time that was occasionally interrupted by guest features and the occasional promise that his album would come soon. Finally, earlier this month, Roddy arrived with his sophomore album Live Life Fast.

The album was met with underwhelming reviews by listeners on social media, but it still faired well on the charts as it debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. However, for fans that were hoping for something different from Roddy, they might receive it on his next body of work. Less than two weeks after he released Live Life Fast, Roddy is already teasing his next project. In a tweet he shared on Wednesday, Roddy wrote, “FTS 3 coming 2022, u n****s playin wit my top.”

“FTS 3” is short for Feed Tha Street III, which would be the third installment in his mixtape series which he began back in 2017. Feed Tha Streets II arrived the following year and featured Roddy’s breakout single, “Die Young.”

Erica Dixon Asks If It Is A “Red Flag” When Straight Men Compliment One Another

A question posed by Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star Erica Dixon has resulted in a bit of backlash. Dixon rose to fame after appearing on the VH1 series alongside Lil Scrappy, her ex and father of their daughter. The pair’s tumultuous relationship made for a storyline that continues to captivate reality television audiences, but their drama wasn’t what caused Dixon’s uproar on social media.

Dixon recently asked, “I heard a straight guy saying another guy was nice looking. Am I tripping or that’s a red flag?”

The responses took over her timeline as the question went viral, and both Pretty Ricky’s Baby Blue, as well as Tammy Rivera, had a bit to say about it.

“Nah, that’s super homophobic to think a guy can’t compliment another guy,” Blue commented. “A man with alot of confidence that is secure with his sexuality not only can give a male a compliment but he can also have gay friends or family members and not feels compromised. This is 2022! We gotta do better.”

Later, Blue added, “Btw, I love Scrappy and his family! We just having an open conversation with instagram at this point. She was just asking a question. I’m sure she meant no harm.” Rivera commented on Hollywood Unlocked’s post about Blue’s reaction.

“I don’t think nothing wrong with a GROWN man saying another guy look nice smh.” Check it out below and let us know your answer to Erica Dixon’s question.
