Kanye West Drops The Perfect Hoodie As A Yeezy Gap Exclusive

Months after the huge, chart-topping release of his tenth studio album Donda and days after the ridiculed, yet sold-out release of his yellow Yeezy Knit Runners, Kanye West’s commercial dominance continues. Today, the musician-turned-fashion icon has unleashed the latest round of merchandise from his hyped Yeezy Gap collection, a six-piece collection of plain hoodies.

According to Complex, the black, brown, red, blue, purple, and light brown hoodies now available on the official Yeezy Gap website are in the long-anticipated design that Kanye West reportedly referred to as the perfect hoodie. Ye’s perfect hoodie was previously described as being “lightly cropped at the waist” and “heavy as a winter coat,” and these new Yeezy Gap releases definitely match that description.

At the time of publishing, Kanye’s new Yeezy Gap hoodie collection is still available for United States customers in several sizes, and they will set you back $90 before tax. Most of the hoodies will take two to three weeks to ship, but the black colorway, specifically, will take a bit long and ship in six-eight weeks.

J. Cole Postpones Multiple “Off-Season” Tour Dates

Since hopping on Drake’s “Pipe Down” beat for “Heaven’s EP” last week, J. Cole had been ramping up towards his much-anticipated Off-Season tour.

Kicking off the tour in Miami on Friday night, he brought out a myriad of guests including Drizzy himself, who took a moment during the show to let the Born Sinner rapper that he is “one of the greatest rappers to ever touch a mic,” it looked like the Off-Season was about to turn into open season for all stages and microphones Cole came across

Unfortunately, after just two shows, Cole was forced to postpone two tour dates, the first in Philadelphia and the second in Detroit, due to production delays.

Explaining that he was backstage at his Greensboro, NC show, waiting to go on stage after an hours-long delay, Cole said the theatrics involved with the Off-Season tour including intricate lighting and a full basketball court were taking much longer to transport and set up than was initially expected. Wearing his new signature look, sweatpants and Crocs, Cole continued on to say that it was a nine hour drive from Greensboro to Philly and that there would not be enough time to break down all of the equipment, transport it over the road to Pennsylvania and set it all up again for a show the next night.

Moving the Philadelphia show to October 27 and the Detroit show to October 25, the Fayetteville rapper spent most of his time on camera apologizing for the delay and agonizing over those fans who had already made arrangements to see him perform this week.

“I apologize for the inconvenience. I know people done hired babysitters, some people drive in from out of town, I hate this sh*t,” Cole said about his Philly and Detroit-based supporters. “Even the fact that people waiting outside right now in Greensboro … that sh*t is A.) embarrassing and B.) I think about people’s time. This is the first time this ever happened to us. So I apologize for this sh*t.”

It was clear Cole felt horribly about having to move shows but ensured that he wanted fans to see the show they paid for and the best way to achieve that was to move tour dates.

A$AP Rocky Previews Promising “ALL $MILES” Track

It’s been several years since A$AP Rocky delivered his latest studio album Testing, a project that drew divided responses from fans. While some appreciated Rocky’s more experimental approach, others pined for a more traditional hip-hop effort from the talented Harlem artist.

Now that Testing has had time to resonate, Rocky has set his sights on the next chapter, which has essentially been confirmed to be ALL $MILES. And while he hasn’t been entirely forthcoming with news about the anticipated project, attentive fans will have noticed that Rocky has been performing new music at various concerts and beyond.

Recently, Flacko provided an intriguing glimpse into what he’s been cooking up for ALL $MILES. During a recent concert, Rocky queued up a vibey, hypnotic banger that finds him experimenting with some pitched-down melodies. He also spits a few bars as well, delivering a rapid-fire flow over the atmospheric synthesizers.

As some fans noted, it’s not the first time Rocky performed this song live — some have even taken to calling it “Mushroom Cloud,” as some of the lyrics appear to make reference to that. Regardless of title, it’s clear that Rocky is cooking up some impressive material, and it will be exciting to see how this one sounds when the final studio version drops.

Alas, he’s opted to keep the ALL $MILES release date close to the chest, though it wouldn’t be entirely surprising to see him deliver the project this year. In the meantime, check out the latest snippet below, as captured by Our Generation Music.

21 Savage Clarifies Drake/Future Comments On DJ Akademiks’ Podcast

21 Savage is set to appear on the upcoming episode of Off The Record with DJ Akademiks, and the audience has already watched a couple of clips from the rapper’s sit-down conversation with the hip-hop media personality. During his appearance on the show, Savage spoke about his loyalty to Drake and why he likely wouldn’t have accepted a feature on Kanye West’s new album DONDA. He also touched on Drake and Future’s popularity, claiming that in his hometown of Atlanta, you can’t convince some folks that Drake is a bigger artist than Future.

“N***as don’t be listenin’ to Drake like that where we are,” said Savage on Off The Record. “If I wasn’t a rapper, I don’t feel like I still would listen to Drake, for real. It’s just I’m a rapper so I understand the work he puts in and how hard he goes. When you ain’t no rapper, all them statistics don’t mean shit. A regular street n***a don’t give a fuck about how many times you went #1, how many white people listen to your shit ’cause, them n***as, the furthest they think is the club. Who’s selling this club out? That’s who they think is the biggest n***as.”

He went on to state, “In Atlanta, it’s a lot of n***as who you can’t tell them Future ain’t bigger than Drake. On god, n***a. I used to think that! Drake ain’t really no big mixtape artist like that. How you got all your Drake albums, you probably really went in the store and bought those motherfuckers. Every Future album I ever heard was a bootleg. N***as was bootleggin’ it or going to Live Mixtapes. So when Nothing Was The Same and all that type of shit came out, n***as ain’t knowing how to get to that.”

As people have been reacting to Savage’s comments on social media, the rapper is correcting some blogs putting words in his mouth, tweeting back at an account that claimed he said that Future was definitively “bigger than” Drake in Atlanta.

“Na I said some people that come from where I come from do,” clarified Savage. “Because when I was younger I was disconnected from mainstream music I didn’t know what Spotify was until I was a rapper…all we knew was mixtapes.”

The rapper also caught wind of somebody saying he looked “dead” during the interview, replying, “Y’all just be saying anything [laughing emoji] what da hell is u talking bout?”

Twitter Reacts To Police Warning That Halloween Candy May Be Laced With THC

After COVID-19 shook up 2020’s version of Halloween, there is a growing sense of normalcy (despite rising cases in many parts of the country) heading into the holiday this year, but police in Pennsylvania are warning children and parents of the dangers of Halloween candy.

Not because of the extremely high levels of sugar and extremely low nutrition levels, but because of what could possibly be mixed into those sweet treats.

According to a tweet from Jaclyn Lee, a news anchor in Philadelphia, the Bensalem police department is warning that they have confiscated many candies and snacks that look exactly like the candies and snacks we are all used to, but are actually laced with THC.

Attaching photos of what appear to be Cheetos, Sweetarts, Nerds and Sour Patch Kids, among other sweets, Lee’s tweet insinuates that people are planning on distributing these snacks, all actually THC edibles, to children on Halloween.

Ignoring the high cost and high tax rate on THC edibles sold in dispensaries across the country, this warning has fallen on deaf ears and the Twitter community flocked to Lee’s tweet to let the anchor, the police and worried parents know that it is extremely unlikely anybody will be simply giving away edibles to unsuspecting children on Halloween night.

Responses varied from pointing out that the wording of the post and the police warning, saying that the candies would be “laced,” is completely wrong due to clear labels on all packaging (ex: the “Medibles” logo on the Cheetos or the “Stoner Patch Kids” label in place of Sour Patch Kids), to not understanding why anybody would want to give away snacks and candies that come at such a high cost.

Kodak Black Fails Drug Test & Violates Release Terms: Report

Kodak Black has reportedly been ordered to get treatment after failing a drug test and violating the terms of his probation, according to TMZ.

At the beginning of this year, Kodak was pardoned out of his prison sentence by Trump, but he has reportedly violated the terms of that release. After reportedly failing a drug test, the rapper was ordered into a ninety-day treatment program, which he is reportedly already undergoing. His lawyer, Bradford Cohen, declined to comment on the failed drug test, but he did recently share a video of Kodak speaking to people suffering from addiction, promoting a “#soberchallenge” to them, so it looks like he’s on the right track.

We will keep you updated as more information comes in. For now, we’re wishing Kodak luck as he recovers from addiction.

This hasn’t been the easiest time for the rapper, who recently lost one of his artists, WizDaWizard, who was murdered in Florida. Kodak has also been having personal issues with another one of his artists, JackBoy, over money, and after Wiz’ death, Yak extended an olive branch to Jack, hoping that they can make things right. Read more about that here.

Kodak also recently told the world that he’s expecting a daughter soon with his girlfriend, a real estate agent. Check out that story here.

Westside Gunn Appeared On “JBP” Specifically To Announce Shady Records Exit

The Griselda camp is one of the hardest working collectives in Rap and they have no intention of slowing down. The label was founded by Conway The Machine, Mach-Hommy, and Westside Gunn nearly a decade ago, that they have continued to be a respected crew of emcees and rhyme slayers with talents unlike any other artists in the industry.

It was in 2017 when Westside Gunn inked a deal with Shady Records and he didn’t release his debut on the label, Who Made the Sunshine, until October 2020. The following month, Gunn announced that he was parting ways with Eminem’s label.

That revelation came courtesy of Gunn during his visit to The Joe Budden Podcast, and in a new interview with HipHopDX, he said he strategically made the announcement on that platform.

“I actually wanted to do that interview just to say that,” he told the outlet. Budden was, of course, a member of Shady’s defunct Rap group, Slaughterhouse. “Once I knew that the deal was done, I had already signed the paperwork and it was official, I’m like, ‘I got to make the announcement.’ But I mean, shout out to Paul [Rosenberg], shout out to Shady. It’s all love, you know what I’m saying? Yeah, it’s all love. Conway [The Machine] still has an album left over there that we have to drop and release, so it’s still all love.”

“But it was just like one of those situations where it’s time for me to move on. It’s chapters in life,” he continued. “That’s why people move, dip out of town for different cultures and different experiences. And it’s the same thing for me.”

Gunn also emphasized that he was “a boss” before signing a deal with Eminem. “I was already the owner of Griselda Records before I did that deal,” he said. “I was already making noise before I did that deal. That’s why we even did the partnership in the first place. It wasn’t just like I came out of thin air. I already had murals painted of me and people tattooing me, people crazy.”

Coi Leray Reveals Lil Durk Stopped From Her From Giving Up On Career

The internet has a love-hate relationship with Coi Leray. On the one hand, the rising star has a dedicated fanbase that uplifts her and her accomplishments, yet on the other hand, Leray constantly faces off against trolls. Leray has often come forward with statements regarding comments she receives about her body, weight, and physical appearance, telling the public that she refuses to change anything about herself.

We’ve witnessed her online spats with her father, Benzino, or that one-sided beef with Rolling Ray. Amid it all, Leray has maintained that she does not want to engage in negativity, but she recently revealed that she almost backed away from her career altogether.

In a post, Leray revealed that it was her friend and “No More Parties (Remix)” collaborator Lil Durk that encouraged her to keep pressing forward with her career.

“Almost gave up one day and he told me don’t ever stop,” Leray wrote. “Most artist show love from a distance on some weird sh*t but this man right here believed in me , believed in No More Parties and been behind me every since. He know a star when he see one and I just wanna thank you for all your support. OTF FOREVER.”

Leray doesn’t just receive encouragement, but she gives it, as well. Recently, Latto expressed frustration with her critics, and Leray made sure to send a few kind words the Atlanta rapper’s way.
