Lil Uzi Vert Reportedly Flashed A Gun In An Altercation With Saint Jhn In West Hollywood

Something went down in Hollywood today between Lil Uzi Vert and Saint Jhn.

According to a frequently updated report by TMZ, Saint Jhn and Lil Uzi Vert were involved in an altercation today at Dialog Cafe in West Hollywood. Uzi apparently came to the cafe because Saint Jhn was meeting with his ex-girlfriend Brittany Byrd. TMZ’s sources claim that Uzi and Jhn got into a physical altercation, and Uzi’s gun fell out onto the table when Uzi tried to land a punch and missed. Other reports claim that Uzi flashed the handle of his gun, causing everyone to flee the scene out of fear of a shooting.

According to Byrd, she was meeting with Jhn strictly for business purposes, but something about the two of them together set Uzi off. vByrd filed a police report later in the day at the West Hollywood Sheriff’s substation alleging that Uzi put a gun to her stomach and struck her during the altercation. Uzi and Saint Jhn have both yet to comment on the fight, though the artists never seemed to have beef before this and Uzi even featured on a song with Jhn, “High School Reunion, Prom” in 2020. You can hear that collab below.

Rolling Ray Claims Coi Leray’s Team Paid Him For Promo & He Didn’t Deliver

The one-sided beef between Rolling Ray and Coi Leray has been continuing for months. The social media star accused Leray of stealing his signature “purr” idea, a sound that Leray has repeated in her tracks. Ray wasn’t a fan of Leray’s “Big Purr” and retaliated with a “Purr” track of his own, and after going after the rising star on social media, he continues to troll her with another story about allegedly taking her money.

“So, basically, somebody on Coi Leray team reached out to me. This was like, two weeks ago almost and it was like, ‘Hey, Rolling Ray, we would like to pay you to promote the event that Coi Leray will be hosting.” He said Leray was making an appearance in Washington, D.C. so they asked what his price would be and he told them, “Two-fifty, something like that.”

Ray claims that the person he spoke with asked for him to make a video “just saying like, you gon’ be there.” He agreed but admitted he never planned on creating any video. “I pocketed that little ass two-fifty.” The validity of the story remains to be determined, but Coi Leray has previously stated that she has no intention of having tension with anyone.

“They tried to use me to promote this girl’s event. Stop playing so much,” Rolling Ray continued, adding that Leray needed to check in with him before performing in D.C. “Her event gon’ be real slow. It’s a difference from TikTok music, real music, and real performances. You’re not it.”

The rapper was recently spotted on the BET Awards red carpet alongside her boyfriend Pressa and she’s been enjoying the successes of her career. Check out Rolling Ray’s video below.

Nike Stands By Sha’Carri Richardson As Critics Call For Boycott

She recently became the fastest woman in the world after clocking a 10.86 100-meter sprint at the Olympic Trials, but Sha’Carri Richardson is suffering a setback. We previously reported on the news that the 21-year-old tested positive for marijuana, resulting in a 30-day suspension that will keep her out of the next 100-meter race. However, she is clear to compete in the Olympics after July 27.

Richardson has reportedly had a partnership with Nike since 2019, and following the controversy, the company released a one-sentence statement. “We appreciate Sha’Carri’s honesty and accountability and will continue to support her through this time.”

The statement was applauded by those who believe that Richardson’s suspension is unfair, yet, there are people who have taken to social media to call for a boycott of the brand. This isn’t the first time that Nike has faced an onslaught of detractors wanting a boycott; after Nike featured Colin Kaepernick in a campaign, people posted photos and videos that showed themselves burning their Nike gear. Some critics even helped the brand after they purchased Nike items to destroy.

While defacing property hasn’t occurred this time around, the social media messages are increasing by the hour. Some of those calling for a boycott are doing so separate from Richardson, but others aren’t happy with their support of the young track star. Check out a few posts below.

Iggy Azalea Denies “Blackfishing” Claims: “You Cannot Shake Me”

Since she first stepped into the Rap scene, Iggy Azalea has faced criticism. She’s been accused of having a “blaccent,” exploiting Black culture, and even “blackfishing” by tanning her skin to look darker. The Rap-Pop star faced judgment once again following the release of her latest single “I Am the Strip Club,” a song that arrived with a music video that featured the House of Balmain.

Soon, Iggy was hit with “blackfishing” claims, and one of her fans sent her a message asking for the rapper to clear up the “fake narratives.” Iggy responded that she didn’t care about the comments, tweeting “f*ck those ppl babe lol.”

Iggy’s use of the words “those people” caused controversy and people began firing off tweets, demanding that she explain what she meant as they insinuated she was being racially insensitive. Her fans were quick to stand in the gap and defended Iggy against naysayers and Azalea jumped into the conversation to lay the controversy to rest.

“Exactly, the internet stay trying to read into sh*t that’s really not that deep,” Iggy responded. “Those people is anyone that has a problem with the fact that I wore a black wig and performed in a dimly lit room but have nothing to say about the same makeup in other scenes… not hard to understand [shrug emoji].”

Another Twitter user send Iggy encouraging words, telling her to “stay strong” through the backlash. “I know by now if I drop a video or song someone online will try and make it have a hidden meaning or find a way to make there be an issue,” Azalea replied. “That’s just how the internet is! I’m 10 years deep in it, you cannot shake me.”

Pleasure P Defends Bobby Brown & Keith Sweat Against Critics: “Shut The F*ck Up”

After each Verzuz battle, the best memes created are often widely spread across social media. Yesterday’s (July 1) matchup between Bobby Brown and Keith Sweat found fans jamming to some of the culture’s favorite R&B hits from the 1980s and 1990s, and while much of the commentary from the public was given in jest, not everyone thought the jokes or criticisms were funny.

Brown and Sweat closed out their Verzuz appearance with help from Tank and Pleasure P, and later, the Pretty Ricky star took aim at people who had anything negative to say about the virtual show.

“Anybody who didn’t contribute nothing to R&B, shut the f*ck up,” said P. “Anybody who didn’t make a record, a top ten record, a number one record, or just a f*ckin’ record, shut the f*ck up.” The singer added that the general public can’t dictate what performers do, say, or act. “Y’all can’t tell me nothin’ ’bout my OGs, ya heard me?”

Pleasure P then let it be known that he’s available to finish the discussion face to face with anyone who feels a certain way. “Y’all know the vibes. Stop playin’ with me,” he said. “While y’all over there hatin’ on these OGs like, damn, if I wasn’t standing up who the f*ck gon’ stand up, R&B ain’t even get played at the BET Awards. There was no male R&B singers at the BET Awards other than Tone Stith, and we love Tone Stith, but c’mon, man.”

“I’m giving Bobby Brown his flowers. I’m giving Keith Sweat his flowers. Teddy Riley, everybody before me, I’m giving them all they flowers, so anybody that don’t like it, go suck a d*ck.” Pleasure P isn’t concerned about any backlash regarding his comments because he said he’s faced criticism of his own in the past, so anything new won’t bother him.

SZA Teases She May “Scrap” Forthcoming Album & “Start From Scratch”

For those awaiting news of SZA’s sophomore album, she has recently offered an update. The singer is taking to the virtual stage in Los Angeles’s popular Wisdome event space to highlight Grey Goose Essence, the liquor brand’s vodka that is reported infused with “real fruit and botanical essences.” Women’s Wear Daily reports that that SZA incorporated an ethereal, flower-filled backdrop to her performance that was paired with a futuristic landscape.

“I wanted to mix cyber things with spiritual stuff…I love that part-computer, part-human thing, mixing that with nature,” the singer told the outlet. She was asked how things were going with recording her follow-up to her successful debut album Ctrl, and it seems there may be a bit of a delay.

“I’m actually probably about to scrap all of it and start from scratch,” SZA said. It was noted that she was “half-joking” with her answer. “I think [my fans will] be surprised to know that it’s not what they thought, and it’s not coming when they thought. I hope that they’ll be pleasantly surprised.”

“I’m literally not talking about my album anymore until it’s out in the world,” she continued. “At this point, I’m gonna start jinxing it, and I don’t want to jinx anything.”

SZA has previously taken to social media to air out frustrations with her label. She called her relationship with her label “hostile” back in August 2020, and months ago, she added that she “hates [her] label so much.” However, the singer has also come forward to praise executives, including Top Dawg Entertainment’s Punch, for having her back.

Karrueche Tran Shuts Down Chris Brown Gossip: “Next”

They broke up years ago in a split that had both parties in court, and Karrueche Tran is letting it be known that although she and Chris Brown may show up to the same events, it doesn’t mean that people should read into things. The former couple dated from 2011 to 2014, and following their breakup, Tran filed for a protective order against her ex. She was granted a five-year restraining order against the singer in 2017, and they’ve been happily living their lives independently of one another since that time.

This week, LeBron James and a slew of celebrities stormed Six Flags Magic Mountain where they celebrated Space Jam: A New Legacy, and footage surfaced online showing Brown and Tran exiting the event reportedly “within minutes” of one another.

The Shade Room posted the video clips and after followers began gossiping about what may have happened, Tran quickly shut down any speculation. “… there was an event at Six Flas for Space Jam,” she wrote in the comments. “There were a ton of other people there. Next.”

Since their split, Chris has welcomed his second child a son her shares with Ammika Harris, while Karrueche dated Victor Cruz from 2016 until earlier this year when they announced their relationship had come to an end. Check out Tran’s response and the video clips below.
