Chris Brown Says He’s Not In A Rush To Release A New Album

It feels like Chris Brown has been using his time towards handling stand-out guest appearances than any solo music. The singer has been popping up on just about everyone’s track in the past year since releasing the 32-track Indigo album (with the exception of Slime & B with Young Thug).

Fans have been incredibly eager to hear Chris Brown deliver a new body of work. We will be outside this summer, after all. And what’s a summer without a Chris Brown banger blaring through the radio speakers? Unfortunately, it seems that we won’t be releasing a new album any time in the near future because Chris Breezy wants to leave his fans in anticipation of his next release. He broke the news on his Instagram Story earlier today. “I ain’t dropping my album until I’m ready,” he wrote. “I need to give y’all a chance to miss me.”

It’s unfortunate because he did preview some heat last October while suggesting that he would be releasing new music this year. However, you gotta trust the process. Given that Breezy has released two albums with over 30 songs each since 2017, there’s more than enough music to hold fans over until he slides through with his next album.

Hopefully, Breezy drops at least a new single to ride out to this summer. Peep his post below.

NLE Choppa Pays Tribute To Lil Loaded

On Monday, the world lost another extremely talented young rapper following the reported death of 20-year-old Dallas presence Lil Loaded. Born Dashawn Robertson, the rapper was reported to have passed away from a presumed suicide, as per his attorney. He was best known for his breakout single “6locc 6a6y,” which burst the rapper into rap stardom as a rising artist to keep a close eye on. Unfortunately, his trajectory was derailed when he caught a murder charge last year, which was later reduced to a manslaughter charge

Throughout his young career, Lil Loaded collaborated with a number of established artists in the game, including YG, Polo G, King Von, and others. He released the remix to “6locc 6a6y” in 2020 with NLE Choppa, who has officially shared his condolences on social media.

Learning of the rapper’s passing, NLE Choppa made reference to their collaborative record on Twitter. “You Seen Blocc Baby Go Gold. All That Matter,” he wrote, sharing a picture of the two together. Three days prior to his death, Lil Loaded had posted about “6locc 6a6y” being certified Gold by the RIAA, marking the moment as a special one in his career.

Lil Loaded had plenty of big things ahead of him in the music industry and it’s truly heartbreaking for him to be gone at such a young age. HNHH is sending our love to his family and loved ones at this difficult time.

Dreezy & Jacquees Involved In Physical Altercation In Mexico

Dreezy and Jacquees are presently on vacation in Mexico, where they’ve been enjoying some time off in the sun. On Monday, their trip was soured after the on-again-off-again couple got involved in a physical altercation, as seen in a video circulating across social media.

A video was posted to several blog sites on Tuesday, showing the aftermath of the fight. According to Dreezy’s account of what happened, a man punched her in the face before being bodyslammed by her boyfriend Jacquees. It’s unclear what happened to cause the fight.

Dreezy unpacked the incident on Instagram Live, saying, “I’ma just clear it up real quick. […] A grown man put his hands on me yesterday. That man y’all seen on the floor punched me in my face yesterday over some stuff he had going on with Jacquees. They had their little altercation, I walked up to see what was going on, and I got swung on. Jacquees did what he had to do. He bodyslammed that n***a, kicked him in his face– that’s why he was on the floor. I didn’t even get to touch the n***a. That’s why y’all seen me get mad and throw my shoe because security was pulling me back, y’all know how it is when it’s an altercation.”

Thankfully, Dreezy and Jacquees do not appear to have been injured in the altercation. Have a look at the fight video below, as well as Dreezy’s explanation underneath.

KXNG Crooked Keeps Fans Guessing About Eminem Collab

KXNG Crooked is at the top of his game, and many fans have been excited to see what the formidable lyricist brings to the table for his next solo album. Given his place in Eminem’s inner circle, we’ve been treated to several recent collaborations in Music To Be Murdered By standout “I Will,” the Family Bviness anthems “Skip This Ad” and “Liquor Store Church,” and Crook’s own “Hot Sauce.

Not only do the pair hold each other’s craftmanship in high esteem, but they’ve also developed solid creative chemistry. So much so that Crook continuously finds himself fielding questions about potential Slim Shady collaborations, with one such question sparking a particularly intriguing answer.

Upon being asked whether or not he and Eminem will connect on Crook’s next album, the Slaughterhouse emcee opted to have a bit of fun, keeping fans guessing with well-placed [zipped-lips] emoji. While that doesn’t necessarily mean anything concrete, it wouldn’t be the first time Crook has teased a new release from Em, having taken a similar stance when rumors of a Music To Be Murdered By began circulating.

Perhaps it’s enough to conclude that a Slim Shady and KXNG Crooked duet where both spit equally lengthy verses a la “The Adventures Of Moon Man And Slim Shady” — something that hasn’t happened as of this moment — is in the works. On the other hand, it’s also possible that Crook has no plans to connect with Em on his upcoming album, and has simply opted to keep it vague for the time being.

Either way, it’s enough to keep the speculation rolling, and we look forward to seeing what Crook has been cooking up, with or without Eminem. Check out his message below, and be sure to give him a follow if you consider yourself to be a rap connoisseur.

Kyrie Irving Condemns Celtics Fans Treatment Of Players

The NBA has had a tumultuous return to packed arenas and fan involvement after the pandemic season, and Brooklyn Nets Player Kyrie Irving once again finds himself at the center of controversy. The Nets’ Point Guard and former Boston Celtics player Kyrie Irving is, once again, on the offensive against Boston fans, in response to the arrest of a fan that threw a water bottle at the player Sunday night.

Kyrie has been steadfast in defending himself from what he sees as racist behavior from Boston fans, stating after Sunday’s game that: “It’s been that way in history in terms of entertainment, performers and sports for a long period of time, just underlying racism and just treating people like they’re in a human zoo.”

Kyrie doubled down on his comments during a post-game press conference. Though he has hope for the future of the game, he went on to explain that: “It’s unfortunate that sports has come to a lot of this kind of crossroads where you’re seeing a lot of old ways come up,” calling Boston fans entitled: “Throwing stuff at people and saying things. It’s a certain point where it gets to be too much […] people just feel very entitled out here.”

This comes after a string of similar events both involving Kyrie and not. Just a week ago Irving condemned Boston fans for racist chants and behavior and later that week Washington Wizards star Russell Westbrook had a heated exchange with a fan who dumped popcorn on him. “Hopefully, we can just keep it strictly basketball; there’s no belligerence or racism going on – subtle racism,” said Irving last week after he experienced racist chants. An even more intense encounter happened during Game 3 of the New York Knicks series against the Atlanta Hawks, where point guard Trae Young was spat on by a fan

While Kyrie maintains his hope for a civil and respectful relationship between players and their communities, repeated and excessive violations by fans continue to jeopardize the health of the game.

Coachella 2022 Dates Announced

It feels like it was a lifetime ago when festivals didn’t seem like public health threats. Artists and fans alike have been longing for their reunion in the beating sun to loud music and overpriced beverages. Coachella, specifically, was forced to push their annual festival back twice due to the coronavirus pandemic. Now that the vaccine numbers are increasing and cases are declining, Coachella appears to be gearing up for their return in 2022.

Rapper & Visual Artist VNZA Fatally Shot At Missouri Pool Bar: Report

Gun violence within the hip-hop community is an unfortunate reality that has claimed the lives of many of its most beloved members. Pop Smoke, King Von, and XXXTentacion have all lost their lives at the hands of gun violence. It is with heavy hearts that we are reporting the passing of VNZA, a Missouri rapper, visual artist and videographer.

According to reports, VNZA, born Vonza Watson, was shot and killed at a busy waterfront bar at the Lake of the Ozarks. The 27-year-old was gunned down Saturday night (May 29) outside Lazy Gators in Lake Ozark. At this time, two of the three possible shooters involved have been taken into custody, but authorities have yet to release any details about the case as they search for the third suspect.

When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered an injured Watson. By that time, the shooters had already fled. He was then taken to a local hospital and subsequently pronounced dead

The Camden County Sheriff’s Office believes over 20 people were filming the incident and vocalized this footage could aid in bringing the assailants to justice.

“We know for a fact there was probably 25 people with camera videos videoing this,” Sheriff Tony R. Helms said. “I know you think that’s great but we think it’s even better if you can get that to us.”

A motive for the killing is still unknown, but authorities confirmed the situation is “still a working homicide.” The aspiring artist was originally from Detroit but was residing in the Kansas City area. A SoundCloud bio describes his music as a mix of rap influenced by Jay-Z, J.Cole, Kendrick Lamar, and Nipsey Hussle.

He’s received an outpouring of tributes on social media since the news was confirmed. Our prayers go out to his loved ones.

Asian Doll Concert Promoter Fires Back After She Threatens Lawsuit

Dallas is continuing to bubble up as a hot spot for hip-hop but apparently, Asian Doll hasn’t necessarily been enjoying shows in her hometown. The rapper took to Instagram on Monday where she aired out a concert promoter who apparently didn’t cut her a check for her performance. Doll threatened to sue the promoter. Unfortunately, this also came with a threat to never perform in her hometown ever again.

“I hate to say it but I’m sueing the Dallas promoter that booked me for 2events yesterday & didn’t give me my backend SMH I been doing shows 5months straight & NEVER had a problem with my money until I came to my hometown,” she wrote. “Shit crazy & people wonder why ion come back.”

There’s more to the story and the promoter in question has issued a response following Asian Doll’s tweets. The promoter, who goes by @kendall.cloud on Instagram, shared screenshots of text messages he and his partner sent to Doll’s point of contact. It seems that they struggled to get a drop from Asian Doll to promote the concert beforehand.

“Don’t tell me bout holding up no deal when I was getting lied to for an entire month couldn’t get a post or a drop tf that’s a big deal anybody could post and say such n such is coming but if that person and the venue don’t stamp it who actually would believe it,” he said.

Later on, he shared a video where he further justified his decision to not pay Asian Doll. “Say, why would I pay the back end on Asian Doll when you can’t even pack out a club in your city, mane. This your city, mane. The fuck?” He said.

Peep his response below.
