Scooter Braun Gets Hit With A $50 Million Lawsuit From A Former Goldman Sachs Partner

=According to the New York Post, music executive Scooter Braun has been hit with a $50 million lawsuit by a former Goldman Sachs partner, named Peter Comisar, who claimed the music executive failed to come through on a promise of a meaningful role at Braun’s new venture if Comisar departed from his current job.

Comisar says that from 2016 to 2017 Braun “aggressively courted” him while he was working for Guggenheim Securities. Braun allegedly bragged about his roster of talents and famous close friends in hopes that Cosimar would jump ship and join the music executive in launching Scope Capital Partners with business manager David Bolno.

The lawsuit says Bolno spoke highly of Braun, crediting him for “reigniting Calvin Klein underwear through a campaign with Justin Bieber and creating the Yeezy brand for Kanye West.” Comisar also claims Braun told him anywhere between $500 million and $700 million could be raised by getting close friends, like Jimmy Iovine and David Geffen, to invest in Scope. Comisar adds that Braun “personally executed contractual commitments to support the new venture,” which would have given Scope an operating expense of $7 million per year for three years while Comisar himself earned a salary of $3 million a year. However, things turned bad when those billionaire investors failed to hold up their end of the bargain.

“The truth was that Braun’s relations valued him as someone to socialize with, but to whom they could never and trust their millions,” the lawsuit read. “When it came to fundraising, Braun turned out to be a sheep in wolves clothing.” Comisar adds that he was threatened by Bolno, saying that if he pursued legal action over the breach of contract saying, “Braun would trash Comisar’s pristine reputation” and “ruin him financially.”

Donald Trump Axes Blog Amid Controversy Regarding Alleged August Reinstatement Plans

After being booted from social media platforms left and right, former President Donald Trump instituted From the Desk of Donald J. Trump. We widely reported on Trump’s antics resulting in his ban from internet spaces including Twitter and Facebook following the insurrection at the Capitol on January 6. Once the far-right, Trump-loving platform Parler was removed from app stores, Trump and his team were reportedly dedicated to creating a space where the former president would be able to share his thoughts without censorship.

For less than a month, From the Desk of Donald Trump thrived, however, it was announced today that it has been permanently taken down. CNBC reports that Trump’s senior aide Jason Miller stated in an email that the platform “will not be returning,” adding “it was just auxiliary to the broader efforts we have and are working on.” Trump has previously stated that he was looking into building a social media site of his own.

That’s not the only news coming from Trump’s camp. New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman tweeted out an update about the latest alleged theory from Trump. “Trump has been telling a number of people he’s in contact with that he expects he will get reinstated by August (no that isn’t how it works but simply sharing the information),” she wrote. “It isn’t happening in a vacuum. It is happening as he faced the possibility of an indictment from the Manhattan DA.”

Brockhampton Buries A Group Member Alive In Their Unhinged Video For ‘Don’t Shoot Up The Party’

In April, Brockhampton returned with Roadrunner: New Light, New Machine, their first album in almost two years. While many were excited about its arrival, the new project came with some bad news. Prior to its release, the group’s lead vocalist, Kevin Abstract, announced through a tweet that the album “will be our last.” But there’s plenty more Brockhampton to come in 2021. They have another album en route later this year, and there’s this: a new video for “Don’t Shoot Up The Party.”

It’s quite the unhinged affair, capturing the group in the midst of some wild behavior. From acting up in the middle of the street and worshiping an odd metal figure to even burying a group member alive, the new video is nothing short of chaotic.

On top of everything else they have coming this year, the group is also droping a deluxe edition of Roadrunner with four additional songs: “Jeremiah (Original),” “Pressure / Bow Wow,” “Sex,” and “Jeremiah (Rmx).” The deluxe edition, which is titled Roadrunner: New Light, New Machine Plus Pack, will arrive on June 4.

You can watch the video for “Don’t Shoot Up The Party” above.

Roadrunner: New Light, New Machine Plus Pack is out 6/4 via RCA. Pre-order it here.

Roddy Ricch’s BM Says Twitter Was Hacked Following Troubling Tweets About Rapper

Fans were concerned earlier today (June 2) after tweets from Allie Minati, the mother of Roddy Ricch’s child, went viral. The Los Angeles rapper isn’t one to make waves on social media and Allie has kept a low profile ever since she gave birth to their son back in April 2020. The status of their relationship isn’t something that they boast about in the media, so it came as a surprise when troublesome tweets were sent out from Allie’s Twitter account.

Before locking down her page and making her Twitter private, OnSite was able to grab screenshots. “If you had any relations with @RoddyRicch pls go get checked ladies,” the tweet read. “I know it’s plenty of y’all out there, be safe cause he not telling ppl what he got… @RoddyRicch you might as well gon head n let everybody know.”

The reactions were swift, but Allie returned to state that she wasn’t behind the post. “I was hacked yall!” wrote Allie. “All the blogs hitting me so thirsty for some fake news lol I don’t got it for y’all.” Still, there were people who responded to her updated post by saying they don’t believe her, while others jumped in to defend both Roddy and Allie against naysayers because they’re so unprobematic.

Scooter Braun Hit With $50Mil Lawsuit By Former Goldman Sachs Partner

He’s been widely criticized for his dealings involving Taylor Sift’s catalog, but Scooter Braun isn’t making headlines over his rift with the popstar. The mega-manager is known for representing some of the top-selling artists in the music industry including Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, and Demi Lovato, but he was back in the media on Wednesday (June 2) after news surfaced that the music executive has been hit with a $50 million lawsuit.

According to the New York Post, a former Goldman Sachs partner named Peter Comisar is taking Braun to court. He alleges that he left his job at Guggenheim Securities after Braun reportedly promised “him a role at the top of a new boutique investment firm that he claimed would be backed by media titans like Apple’s Jimmy Iovine, Hollywood magnate David Geffen as well as the billionaire Soros family.” However, things didn’t work out the way Comisar planned.

Braun reportedly lured Comisar into the business throughout 2016 and 2017, and Comisar was said to have agreed to a $3 million per year salary. Braun allegedly name-dropped Kanye West and Justin Bieber during their conversations, and according to Comsiar, Braun even went as far to say he could get David Geffen, who he reportedly called his “godfather,” along with others like Jimmy Iovine and Haim Saban to invest hundreds of millions of dollars.

“Braun had to explain to Comisar, tail between his legs, how he had asked David Geffen, his supposed Godfather, to invest in Scope [Capital Partners], only to be told by Geffen that he did not view Braun as someone with whom Geffen would invest.” Iovine and Saban were said to have also given Braun “the same brush-off” along with “the Reuben Soros and Mittal families.”

“The truth was that Braun’s relations valued him as someone to socialize with, but to whom they could never and trust their millions,” the lawsuit reportedly states. “When it came to fundraising, Braun turned out to be a sheep in wolves clothing.” The New York Post reports that Braun has not commented on the allegations or the lawsuit.

Lil Durk Reveals He’s “Keeping The World Out Of My Personal Life”

As one of the leading voices coming out of the Rap scene currently, all eyes are keenly squared on Lil Durk. The Chicago rapper continues to blaze through the charts with each release, and this week, after a slight delay, The Voice of the Heroes will arrive. The joint project is an effort in partnership with Durk and Lil Baby, and it has been one of the most anticipated projects of the year, to date.

Aside from his musical ventures, Durk’s personal life always captures attention. He publicly showers his leading lady India Royale with affection and repeatedly makes it clear that they’re locked in for life. However, Durk shared a few thoughts on his Instagram Story where he said he’ll be pulling back from posting as often.

“Keeping the world out my personal life,” wrote the rapper. “Not posting to much saying to much Nomo.” He suggested that this had a lot to do with his children. “Definitely my kids… just know they good and took care of thanks [blue heart emoji].”

While many artists do capitalize off of sharing updates about their children, some are refraining from giving the world too much access, including Summer Walker. The singer has been criticized for her posts, and recently, the public threatened to call Child Protective Services on her for no reason at all.

Check out Durk’s post below.

NBA YoungBoy’s BM Jania Called Out By King Von’s Sister Over Dancing Video

When it comes to holding down NBA YoungBoy, the mothers of his children know how to represent for the incarcerated rapper. Months ago, YoungBoy was taken into custody following a brief foot pursuit in Los Angeles. We’ve received updates from YoungBoy courtesy of his loved ones who have shared messages he’s sent to them, and it looks as if he’s doing the best with his situation, all things considered.

In his last message, the rapper expressed love for pregnant girlfriend Jazlyn Mychelle, and recently, she revealed that he’d even purchased a new puppy for her. Meanwhile, Jania Meshell, YoungBoy’s ex-girlfriend and mother to their son, was captured having some fun at a party—that is until the DJ put on a track by King Von.

We’ve previously reported on the lengthy history between YoungBoy and Von, Durk, and Pooh Shiesty, and the jailed rapper’s exes make sure not to give any of the three latter artists attention even when they’re out at clubs. Months ago, Yaya Mayweather, daughter of Floyd Mayweather and the mother of YoungBoy’s son born in January, was previously captured telling a DJ to turn off “Back in Blood,” and a video recently surfaced showing Jania dancing before Von’s voice is heard over the speakers.

Later, Von’s loved ones took to Instagram to call her out, including the late rapper’s sister, Kayla B. “You hoes not gone keep playing with my brother,” she wrote. “I ain’t say sh*t the first time but stop playing acting like you wasn’t getting F*CKED.” Check out all of the posts below.
