Young Thug Teases New Clothing Brand As YSL Rico Trial Resumes

Young Thug is currently in jail as he stands trial in the YSL Rico case. This is a case that has a lot of implications for the future of hip-hop. Overall, some lyrics are being used as evidence, which brings into question the whole idea of freedom of expression. Furthermore, Thug is a highly influential artist, and if he were to be convicted, there is a chance that he could be locked up for decades. Needless to say, there is a whole lot at stake here. However, the trial has been confusing due to a myriad of factors.

Prior to Christmas, a co-defendant was stabbed in jail which subsequently led to a delay in the proceedings. On Tuesday, the trial officially resumed and Thugger was all smiles in the courtroom. This has been a lengthy process, so we can imagine just how happy he is to get this show on the road. In fact, Thugger has more than just the law on his kind these days. Recently, he took to Instagram where he promoted a brand-new clothing line called Act Normal. You can see the IG story, below.

“If you support me then…you know the rest,” he wrote. Furthermore, there was a link to the brand’s website which is still very much a work in progress. As HipHopDX reports, Isaiah GQ is a part of the brand. Meanwhile, it is unclear what Thug’s association is. He has his own brand called Spider, although this could be a separate endeavor. Either way, the first collection for Act Normal should be coming out soon. Hopefully, we get some more details on this, very soon.
