Young Buck claims 50 Cent forced him into bankruptcy.
The former G-Unit member opened up about his troubled relationship with 50 during the “It’s Tricky With Raquel Harper” podcast (via TMZ). According to Buck, he had to take drastic measures, including bankruptcy, because 50 tried to stop his bag.
“I make my money through the music so of course him doing that stopped my income all around the board,” Buck said. “I had no choice but to go down that route.”
Buck says 50 sent him a cease and desist letter to block him from releasing music. As a result, he filed for bankruptcy to discharge his debts, including money 50 claims he still owes.
Buck says 50 even prevented him from working on his last album for G-Unit, which would have fulfilled his contractual obligations. Without the bankruptcy filing, he says he would be unable to release music or make money.
“Once he stopped me from being able to make money, I filed another bankruptcy,” Buck said. “And [the court] stopped him from being able to cease and desist anything.”
Their beef dates back to 2008 after 50 claimed Buck had not been loyal to G-Unit and kicked him out of the group. They reconciled in 2014, but their feud has reignited on social media in recent years.
Despite the drama, Buck is hopeful to get some “clarity” and resolve their issues once and for all. “We possibly could iron our situation out by having a real conversation with each other,” he said.
