Grammy-nominated artist and activist Vic Mensa, in collaboration with his cannabis brand 93 Boyz and The Delta, initiated the Feed the Block / Warm the Block program with a kick-off party at The Delta in Wicker Park, Chicago.
The community support program aims to provide high-quality meals and winter apparel to the local unhoused population throughout the winter. The kick-off event encouraged guests to donate clothing items while enjoying Vic Mensa’s DJ set and a specially curated menu. Attendees included notable figures like long-time friend and artist Chance The Rapper.
Since November, the initiative has collected and distributed over 650 meals and 1000 winter clothing items, with plans to continue serving the community through March. The program is open to corporate support, either through underwriting food costs or making in-kind winter apparel donations at [email protected].
