Stephen A. Smith’s Strong Words For Dillon Brooks: Video

Stephen A. Smith and the First Take crew discussed some strong comments made by Memphis Grizzlies star Dillon Brooks. After the Grizzlies took Game 2 against the Lakers on Wednesday night, Brooks threw more salt in the wounds. The Memphis forward called LeBron James old. Also, Brooks mentioned he isn’t worried about James unless he drops 40 on him. Those are some strong words directed toward one of the greatest players of all time. However, Smith believes those words may cost Brooks the next time the Lakers and Grizzlies meet for Game 3.

“When you chirp like Dillon Brooks chirped last night, you gotta bust his ass,” Smith stated when discussing the matter. The Grizzlies are feeling really confident after their Game 2 victory without their leader Ja Morant. Morant was sidelined with a hand injury that he sustained in Game One. However, the team banded together and won a game many didn’t believe they had a chance at winning. But going after James in the post-game might not be the best idea for the young Grizzlies.

Stephen A. Smith Blasts Dillon Brooks

James may be old in the terms of the game of basketball. However, “The King” is still putting up numbers that make him one of the best in the game today. However, it was James’ teammates that came up short in Game Two. Anthony Davis was non-existent for most of the game on the offensive side. Davis had 13 points and 9 rebounds in almost 38 minutes of play. That stat line from Davis will send the Lakers home this round if it continues to happen.

Game Three looks to be can’t miss television. As the entire NBA world will want to see how James will respond to Brooks’ comments. However, Smith already knows how it should be handled. Game Three is going to be a physical contest between the two. Also, James may remind the world about his greatness and give Brooks the 40 points he is asking for. Do you agree with Stephen A. Smith’s take on Brooks’ comments toward James? Will the comments bring out another side of the Lakers in Game Three? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section.
