Stephen A. Smith is someone who prides himself on “telling it like it is.” Overall, not everyone is down with the type of commentary he provides. However, he has mostly kept the lights on at ESPN over the years, which has to mean something. He knows how to push buttons and he also knows how to get ratings. At the end of the day, what he does is an art form, and you can’t deny his genius. Moreover, with the NBA Playoffs in full swing, Stephen A. has been able to get off a barrage of hot takes.
Although, not every take is a hot one. Sometimes, the First Take host is just looking to hold players accountable. The latest person to get that kind of treatment from Smith is none other than Jordan Poole. The Golden State Warriors star has not been great throughout the playoffs. In fact, during Game 4, Poole came off the bench and played 10 minutes. However, he didn’t score a single point. This subsequently prompted Smith to take to Twitter, where he had a question for Poole.

Stephen A. Just Wants To Know Something
“Jordan Poole, last time I checked he gets a check,” Stephen A. began. “Last time I checked he wears a Golden State uniform just like the rest of the team. Last time I checked he’s on the team bus, he gets into the team hotels, gets that per diem, he gets those meals, he got a salary, $140 million contract. He got his bag. Where the hell he been?” This is a very good question to ask, and we’re sure Warriors fans are feeling the same thing right now. Jordan Poole was supposed to be a stud for them. Instead, he has been a dud.
At this point, the Warriors are going to need to dig deep if they want to get out of this hole. They need to win three-straight games, which is no easy task. Although, if any team can do it, it would probably be them. Let us know what you think of the Jordan Poole situation, in the comments down below.
