Stevenson, now 22-0 with 10 KOs, dominated the fight, showcasing his superior skill against Harutyunyan, who had been inactive for nearly a year. The Armenian-born, German-based challenger, holding a 12-2 record with 7 KOs, struggled to withstand Stevenson’s relentless body shots. Although Stevenson fought aggressively in the second half, Harutyunyan’s resilience prevented a knockout.
The Newark crowd cheered as their champion maintained his perfect record, reaffirming that there’s no place like home for Shakur Stevenson.
