CONMEBOL has confirmed that Grammy® and Latin Grammy® award-winning artist Shakira will make history by performing for the first time at Copa América. She will headline the halftime show during the tournament’s final on Sunday, July 14, at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
Known for her iconic performances at events like the Super Bowl and World Cups, Shakira will bring a mix of her classic anthems and latest hits to the stage. The final of CONMEBOL Copa América USA 2024 promises to be thrilling, drawing over 54,000 fans to date.
“Shakira is an extraordinary South American star who has dazzled the entire world. Her songs are sung and danced to in every corner of the planet, turning her art into a global phenomenon that crosses borders and is enjoyed by millions of people. We are sure that her performance at the Copa América USA 2024 will enhance the message of healthy passion and unity through sport,” said Alejandro Domínguez, president of CONMEBOL.
Shakira’s upcoming performance follows her successful album “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran,” one of the year’s most streamed albums. She will kick off her highly anticipated world tour with 17 United States concerts starting Nov. 2 in Palm Desert, CA. Her debut at Copa América marks another milestone in her illustrious career, blending music and sports on an international stage.
