The wait is almost over.
Post Malone’s new album twelve carat toothache is set to arrive sometime next month, according to his manager Dre London, who made the announcement on Instagram Monday.
“Results Or Excuses Choose Your Side! @postmalone album coming next month!” London captioned a video of him playing tennis. “What u want in life results or excuses!!”
It’s been two-and-a-half years since Post released his last album, Hollywood’s Bleeding. In a recent interview with Billboard, he spoke about the follow-up, which will be his shortest to date at 45 minutes.
“Trying to shove 20 to 25 songs, it doesn’t work,” he said. “Talking to the label [it’s like], ‘Oh, if you have less songs, you’re not going to stream as much,’ but the whole thing is that you don’t want to compromise your art and your gut vibe on anything.”
In November, he dropped his single with The Weeknd, “One Right Now,” which peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100. He says that the new music will “speak more to how I’m feeling at the moment: the ups and downs and the disarray and the bipolar aspect of being an artist in the mainstream.”
When it does drop, twelve carat toothache will be released on the relaunched Mercury Records and not Republic like Post’s previous albums.
