Patrick Beverley Delivers A Few Choice Words To Dillon Brooks

Patrick Beverley has long been known as a trash talker. With trash-talking in sports in the spotlight, Beverley didn’t want people to forget. On his podcast, The Pat Bev Pod, the Chicago guard talked about one of his most recent incidents. Beverley talked about digging into Memphis Grizzlies star Dillon Brooks. Brooks, who is also known to do a little trash-talking, became a victim to Beverley. Beverley’s Bulls earned a hard-fought win over the Grizzlies. Afterward, Beverley didn’t let Brooks forget.

During the show, Beverley told the world what he said to Brooks. “I catch Dillon Brooks out after we played [the Grizzlies]… He’s walking towards the bus… I go ‘hey Dillon Brooks, ya’ll thought you had that one huh… Take that b*tch right off the board.” Trash talking has long been a part of the game, and this is a great example. With all the talk of Angel Reese’s actions over the weekend, people should listen to Beverley. Trash talk is just a natural aspect of all athletics.

Patrick Beverley Doesn’t Shy Away From Trash Talk

Patrick Beverley has been known to irritate a few NBA stars. Beverley and his former teammate Russell Westbrook have a long history. When Beverley was a member of the Clippers, he enjoyed jawing with Westbrook in each of their contests. Fans could tell that things would get heated between the two. Which made it surprising when the two joined forces earlier this season with the Lakers. Now, neither player is with the Lakers. Which could see the rekindling of a fun rivalry.

The NBA is better with trash-talkers in the game. One of the greatest players of all time, Michael Jordan, was an incredible trash-talker. Also, no one can forget Reggie Miller taking on the whole entire city of New York. Sometimes, trash-talking can go a step too far. However, we have yet to see it reach those levels in quite some time. What are your thoughts on trash talk? Do you feel that it is an integral part of the game?
