NBA Youngboy & Nicki Minaj Announce New Single “WTF”

We could count on a feature from Nicki Minaj on NBA Youngboy’s Don’t Try This At Home. On Tuesday afternoon, Ja Morant’s favorite rapper announced that he and Nicki would be sliding through with a new single titled, “WTF,” on April 7th. Along with the upcoming collaboration, NBA Youngboy will also unveil the official pre-order link for Don’t Try This At Home, which will consist of 33 songs in length. With Don’t Try This At Home due out on April 21st, the upcoming NBA Youngboy and Nicki Minaj collab will certainly set the tone for what he has in store.

The Baton Rouge rapper and the Queens icon are certainly no strangers to each other, having developed a strong rapport throughout YB’s ascent to stardom. Mike Will Made-It brought them together on “What That Speed Bout?!” but prior to that, Youngboy let his affection for Nicki known on the single, “Nicki Minaj.” Most recently, they teamed up on “I Admit” off of NBA Youngboy’s Ma, I Got A Family. Perhaps, we could expect YB to return the favor when Nicki Minaj drops off her follow-up to Queen.

NBA Youngboy x Nicki Minaj Coming Soon

NBA Youngboy’s forthcoming project will mark his second release under the Motown banner. Following a prolific run with Atlantic Records in 2022, the rapper kicked off the year with the release of his latest project, I Rest My Case. The 19-song effort appeared with no features, which isn’t a surprise for NBA Youngboy. However, that might be where Don’t Try This At Home differs. Hopefully, Nicki Minaj won’t be the only feature on the project.

Beyond Nicki Minaj, there have been a few hints of features on Don’t Try This At Home. During a conversation with Akademiks, NBA Youngboy hinted that he worked with Lil Wayne for one of the tracks. Additionally, DaBaby, who YB worked with on Better Than You, could also appear on the tracklist for NBA Youngboy’s next album. At this point, it looks like Motown is positioning the upcoming release from the Baton Rouge rapper to be his biggest to date, especially since he’s been far more open to media lately. We’ll keep you up to speed on anymore news on NBA Youngboy and Nicki Minaj’s forthcoming release.
