Grammy-winning producer and artist Mustard has released his new single, “Parking Lot,” featuring Travis Scott. The track follows his monumental “Mustard & Friends” set at Kendrick Lamar’s “The Pop Out – Ken & Friends” Juneteenth concert at the Kia Forum. “Parking Lot” is the first single from Mustard’s highly anticipated fourth studio album, Faith of a Mustard Seed, which will be released on July 26, 2024.
Mustard teased the single earlier this week on Instagram, sharing clips of him and Scott in the studio. This marks their first collaboration since the 2016 hit “Whole Lotta Lovin’.” In an interview with Zane Lowe, Mustard described the record as something that “feels like LA but you can play in Houston, you can play wherever you want to play it at, at a BBQ.” Combining Mustard’s signature West Coast sound with Scott’s Houston flair, “Parking Lot” is set to be the ultimate summer anthem.
The release follows Mustard’s first No. 1 debut on the Billboard Hot 100 with Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” which garnered over 96 million streams in a week. It’s been five years since Mustard’s album Perfect 10 featured hits like “Pure Water” and the Grammy-nominated “Ballin.” 2024 also marks the 10th anniversary of 10 Summers Records, and Mustard has partnered with BMG under a new global recordings agreement to release Faith of a Mustard Seed.
