LeSean McCoy Claims Eric Bieniemy Had Almost Nothing To Do With Chiefs Success

LeSean McCoy is a former NFL running back who is known for making some controversial statements. Of course, McCoy ended up winning the Super Bowl in back-to-back seasons with two different teams. Firstly, he won it as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs. Subsequently, he went to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and defeated his former team the following year. Overall, he wasn’t a huge contributor to those teams. However, he had a phenomenal prime, and that is why networks like FS1 have him on their shows.

One of the biggest topics in football right now involves former Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy. Recently, Bieniemy left the Chiefs to become an offensive coordinator for the Washington Commanders. Now, he won’t have the shadow of Andy Reid over his shoulder. Consequently, some believe he can finally show his prowess as an offensive coordinator and even eventually become a head coach in the league. However, LeSean McCoy seems to think otherwise.

LeSean McCoy Speaks

During his recent appearance on Speak For Yourself, McCoy claimed that Bieniemy has very little to do with the Chiefs’ offense. He made it seem as though Bieniemy is only in charge of the run game, but only a small part of it. Moreover, he said that when it came to offensive meetings, Reid was always in charge. He believes that Bieniemy has yet to show that he can actually be a head coach anywhere. Overall, it was quite shocking and a lot of people were surprised by the comments. Moreover, some felt as though McCoy was being salty due to the fact that Bieniemy never gave him a lot of playing time. Not to mention, players like Tyreek Hill have all hit Bieniemy with massive praise.

This is not the first time that McCoy has gone after someone. He had some less-than-kind words for none other than Dak Prescott. During that instance, he called Dak trash, and many felt like he was being cruel for no good reason. For now, however, he is helping bring attention to a show that otherwise, no one would really care about. Let us know what you think of his take, down below.
