Draymond Green Takes Shot At Sacramento Kings Fans

Draymond Green has not had a quiet start to the NBA Playoffs. The Warriors star has been the target of a lot of hate from Sacramento Kings fans. Green was ejected from Game 2 after stomping Domantas Sabonis. The incident had every Kings fan in the arena serenading Green with boos. According to Green, none of that really matters. Since the incident, the Warriors have grabbed three straight victories in the series. Including a big one on Wednesday night that put the team up 3-2.

After the game, Green discussed his role in the series. As well as how much of an impact Kings fans have made on the games played in Sacramento. “I don’t go chasing after some villain title. Being a villain is no fun… I’m also never ducking any smoke… I knew these [Kings] fans would be at me from the time I went in. To be honest with you, I barely heard them.” Green doesn’t believe the fans have played any factor in this series. However, those comments sound like a player not expecting to return to Sacramento.

Draymond Doen’t Chase Villain Moniker

The Warriors could end the series in Golden State. With the win on Wednesday, the team just needs one more to advance to the second round. However, if the series does happen to return to Sacramento for Game 7. One would expect Kings fans to be louder than they’ve ever been. The Kings and their fans have been celebrating their first playoff berth in nearly two decades. However, the celebration could soon be over if the Warriors have any say.

The Warriors are the defending champions of the NBA. So, any Kings fans thinking that this series would be easy are fooling themselves. Now it’s the Kings who see themselves trying to avoid elimination. Sacramento is a young team that doesn’t have a lot of experience in this type of game. However, the Warriors have thrived in moments like this. Do you agree with Draymond Green that Kings fans haven’t impacted this series?
