Chris Christie Calls Trump 'Donald Duck' for Ducking Out on Republican Debates

GOP candidate for President and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie took some shots at former President Donald Trump during the latest Republican debate. On Wednesday, Christie was critical of Trump sidestepping debates, leading to a new nickname of “Donald Duck.”

While addressing “law and order,” Christie revealed Trump wasn’t present to announce his plans. “Donald, I know you’re watching. You can’t help yourself. You’re not here tonight – not because of polls and not because of your indictments — you’re not here because you’re afraid of being on this stage and defending your record.”

He added, “You’re ducking these things. And let me tell you what’s going to happen – you keep doing that, no one up here is going to call you Donald Trump anymore, we’re going to call you Donald Duck.”
