“UNC To Chicago” Air Jordan 1 Low

Firstly, this shoe starts out with a black base on the side panels, overlays, tongue, and even the laces. Secondly, the toe box is red, while the back heel and Nike swoosh are powder blue. This gives us the dichotomy between Chicago and the University of North Carolina. Additionally, we get a white midsole on this sneaker, with a red outsole to cap it all off.

Air Jordan 1 Mid “UNC To Chicago” Gets Wild

Overall, the Air Jordan 1 Mid is a fantastic alternative to the Air Jordan 1 High OG. Although it may not have the same prestige, it still looks pretty amazing. This sneaker contains all of the aesthetics of the AJ1, but with a lower cut on the ankle. Additionally, it should be noted that this is a shoe that has continuously gotten some unique colorways. For the most part, Jumpman feels as though it can really experiment with this sneaker. Consequently, the shoe ends up with offerings that would be foreign to the Jordan 1 High OG.

So far in 2023, we have seen all sorts of amazing Air Jordan 1 Mid colorways. Moreover, with the summer on the horizon, it seems like that is just going to become more true. Jumpman wants to deliver as many great shoes to the market as possible. Whether that be through men’s exclusives, women’s exclusives, or even grade school exclusives. This is a motif we have seen before. However, this shoe delivers that with a twist. Firstly, the majority of the upper is covered in white leather. From there, the toe box gets some powder blue with gold elephant print. Additionally, there is a red back heel with more gold elephant print. Lastly, gold appears again on the Nike swoosh, Wings logo, and even the cuff.

However, it works just as well on this Jordan 1 Low. Firstly, the shoe begins with a red leather toe box. Secondly, we get some blue on the back heel and Nike swoosh to represent UNC. Lastly, the rest of the sneaker has a black leather look to it. This comes together to create a colorway that is going to be a familiar to a lot of sneakerheads.

“UNC To Chicago” is an aesthetic we have seen in the past. Overall, this is meant to be a nice homage to the fact that Michael Jordan went from UNC to the Chicago Bulls. With this colorway, you can certainly see how both teams intersect. Firstly, the sneaker is covered in white leather. This white extends to the laces, midsole, and also the tongue. Secondly, there is a red line on the sides that brings in the Bulls colors. Lastly, the back heel is powder blue which is a reference to the University of North Carolina.

All-in-all, this is a very clean colorway that speaks to the history of Jordan Brand. Ultimately, we’re sure there are a lot of people out there who are going to love these.
