Rudy Gobert Punches Teammate Kyle Anderson During Timeout

Rudy Gobert threw a punch at his Minnesota Timberwolves teammate Kyle Anderson during the team’s 113-108 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday. The incident occurred during a timeout in the second quarter of the game. At halftime, the team announced that Gobert was sent home.

In a video from the timeout, Gobert and Anderson could be seen having a heat exchange of words before the 7′1″ Gobert moved in and threw a fist at Anderson. “We made the decision to send Rudy Gobert home after the incident in the second quarter,” Timberwolves President of Basketball Operations Tim Connelly said in a statement. “His behavior on the bench was unacceptable and we will continue handling the situation internally.”

“I think tempers just flared,” Anderson said after the game. “That’s all.” He added that the two won’t have any problems going forward and are just serious about wanting to win. “We want to win games. It is what it is. It ain’t the first time someone has swung on me,” he said. Mike Conley added that Gobert already had sent a text message to the team apologizing for his behavior. Warriors star Draymond Green trolled Gobert on Twitter after the game. “Insecurity is always loud…,” Green wrote, echoing a tweet Gobert posted in 2022.

The Timberwolves are set to take on the Los Angeles Lakers in a play-in game for the playoffs. The winner will face the No. 2 seed Memphis Grizzlies in the first round of the playoffs. The loser will compete in a second play-in matchup with the winner of the New Orleans Pelicans and the Oklahoma City Thunder matchup. The team to advance from that game will take on the top seeded Denver Nuggets. Check out Gobert and Anderson’s heated interaction on Twitter below.

50 Cent Ridicules Ja Rule, Vows To Lift Curse He Placed On Timberwolves

When Ja Rule performed at a Minnesota Timberwolves halftime show in 2019, he had no idea that his rival 50 Cent would hold it against him four years later. Moreover, the Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ MC recently uploaded a video celebrating his recent partnership with the Minnesota Timberwolves. In it, he visits their office spaces, talks with executives, and displays his excitement for his spirits collaboration. However, he also took a moment to address that Ja Rule performance in Milwaukee against the Bucks. If there’s anything history taught us between these two, it’s that Fif always finds a way to dunk on Ja- and vice versa, at least in attempt.

“We had a curse!” 50 Cent told the franchise’s staff. “Somebody f***ed up, and they let Ja Rule perform at halftime. Now, what we’re gonna do is take the curse off!” Then, a clip of Rule addressing an unenthused crowd played on one of the staff member’s screens (it was edited in). “Skip, this might be worse than Fyre Festival,” Shannon Sharpe remarks to his partner Bayless about the Murder Inc. rapper’s infamous failed festival.

50 Cent Promises To Lift Ja Rule’s Curse On The Minnesota Timberwolves

Furthermore, readers may remember the halftime show in question, for which Ja got immediately clowned online. What’s more is that the curse that 50 referred to isn’t just the “curse” of a laughable performance or comical moment. In fact, the fellow Queens rapper and G-Unit’s longtime opponent cursed the team while responding to a fan on Twitter. With that, it seemed almost too perfect for 50 to swoop in one day and, if the Timberwolves get amazing from here on out, it would be a massive flex on his sworn enemy.

“You just jinx yourself talking to the GOD this way…” Ja Rule wrote to a critical Minnesota fan. “Your CURSED NOW!!! You won’t win a championship for the next 30 years… AND KAT IS LEAVING!!! Apologise and I’ll lift the CURSE!!! Kiss of death…” Now the stakes are even higher in 50 Cent’s beef with the “Always On Time” MC: there’s a championship at stake. Regardless, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Ja Rule, 50 Cent, and their legendary beef.
