Black History Month is an incredibly important time. It is a month in which everyone can be educated about the fight for equal rights all throughout the world. Additionally, it is a time to celebrate black culture and its influence that can be found all around us. When it comes to sneakers, there is no doubt that black culture has ultimately served as inspiration for numerous shoes. Overall, companies like Nike and Adidas understand this better than anyone. Consequently, they have come through with various Black History Month-inspired colorways. Today, we are counting down some of the best.

Nike Zoom Kobe 6 “Black History Month”

Kicking off our list is the Nike Zoom Kobe 6 “Black History Month.” Overall, this is a sneaker that is definitely going to impress you upon first look. The upper is covered in black scales, while the Nike swoosh is gold. Additionally, there is a green, red, and gold “BHM” logo that can be found on the back heel. This is also bolstered by a gold back heel unit that truly adds some pop to the shoe. If you are a fan of the Kobe 6, then this is a great offering. Tennessee State University x Nike Dunk Low “Tigers”

Next up we have the Nike Dunk Low “Tigers” which is an homage to Tennessee State University. The sneaker is part of a collection of HBCU dunks Nike released in 2022 for select HBCUs. Right off the bat, it is very clear that this is a nice colorful offering. Just looking at it, you can tell that is meant for those who prefer a lot of different colors in their shoes. As many already know, this shoe came out in two color schemes, however, we have decided to highlight the version that is mostly covered in black Knitposite. Additionally, the shoe has some white on the midsole as well as the laces. Overall, it is a very clean shoe that fans have adored since its release. Steph Curry is someone who has released some amazing signature sneakers over the years. Among them is the Curry 9 Flow “Black History Month,” pictured above. This shoe is immensely colorful. The first and only New Balance on this list is a gorgeous 990v5 Made In USA. New Balance has been killing it with the chunky dad runners, and this sneaker is an example of that. Firstly, the shoe is met with white mesh and white suede. Secondly, we get a dose of burgundy all throughout while the New Balance logo is gold. Lastly, the shoe has a nice purple hue on the back heel and the midsole. Overall, this is a colorway that immediately makes a strong impression. Converse Chuck 70 Hi “Black History Month”

Continuing on, we now bring you a Converse Chuck 70 Hi for Black History Month. This sneaker has a cool concept that is certainly done very well. Firstly, the shoe opens up with some black canvas on the side panels. From there, however, instead of your usual solid color patches, we have a different aesthetic. As you can see, on the back heel, cuff, and toe box, we have Kente cloth patterns. Ultimately, it makes for a nice touch that makes this shoe truly unique. Lastly, we bring you the Nike Air Max 95 “Black History Month.” This is one of the more colorful sneakers on the entire list. The entire upper is covered in various different tones. For instance, we have blue, orange, purple, and yellow stripes throughout the sides. Moreover, there is a black tongue with some blue on top of it. Lastly, the toe box is made of black materials, while the midsole is white. Overall, it is a shoe that you cannot go wrong with. Travis Scott Flexes His Latest Air Jordan 1 Low

Travis Scott is one of those artists who is constantly evolving. As it currently stands, fans are waiting for him to drop his highly anticipated Astroworld follow-up, Utopia. Scott has stated on numerous occasions that the album is coming soon. However, fans have very little in the way of information on when it will actually drop. It has become clear that Scott is looking to drum up hype in any way he can. Overall, this strategy worked incredibly well for Astroworld, and this is still very much true for his next body of work.

As for his other projects, Scott is still working with the likes of Nike and Jordan Brand. These two have come out with some truly stunning collaborations over the years. One could just look at his Air Jordan 1 Lows that have taken the world by storm. Although he has released plenty of colorways of it, it seems as though he is not satisfied with stopping here. Two months from now, he will be dropping a new colorway called “Olive.” As you can see below, he flexed the new color scheme at the NBA All-Star Game.

This is a very unique colorway that fans are definitely going to enjoy. Firstly, the sneaker opens up with some black materials on the tongue, toe box, and even the side panels. Secondly, the overlays and the laces here are all white. Lastly, we finally get a dose of olive thanks to the backward Nike swoosh on the sides. This is a great look that will most definitely appeal to those who prefer neutral tones. Overall, it is shaping up to be a great offering for the Fall months.

Miu Miu x New Balance 574 Gets New Round Of Colorways

Miu Miu X New Balance previously dropped a line of 574s as part of their Spring/Summer 2022 collection. The shoes debuted at Paris Fashion Week. Miu Miu and New Balance are releasing a new line of the iconic 80s sneaker silhouette. The shoe from the first collab was re-purposed with raw-cute edges. The design was similar to the garments showcased in the Spring/Summer 2022 collection such as the iconic micro-mini skirt.

For this collaboration, the Miu Miu X New Balance 574 shoes are crafted in a signature Y2K-inspired “Fringed Blue” design simulating the hue of classic blue jeans with contrasting white laces. Other color offerings of the sneaker include a distressed “Marble-Effect Cognac Denim.” The colorway is a deep brown hue that is dripped throughout the shoe and laces. “Blanched White” leather has a muted pearly white hue. Elsewhere, the tongue of the sneaker is adorned with the New Balance x Miu Miu logo. The logo was also displayed in their first sneaker collaboration.

Latest New Balance x Miu Miu Drop

Moreover, the shoe can be seen as both a fashion and athletic statement. The distressed materials on the shoe allow room for experimental styling, which the luxury label and Boston-based shoe brand are no strangers to. You can pair the shoe with a complimentary New Balance tracksuit or go the girly route with a classic mini skirt, high socks, and a Miu Miu bag. These sneakers will suit any look. Although they were not featured in the Spring/Summer 2023 showcase, this new collab fits into the Miu Miu label’s elevated streetwear meets business-casual aesthetic.

Additionally, these sneakers (although high in price) are sure to sell out just as fast as the first drop. The “Fringed Blue” and “Cognac Denim” colorways retail for $950, while the “Blanched White Leather” retails for $1,020. The sneaker comes equipped with white rubber soles infused with ENCA. ENCA is a core of soft cushion made for comfort and functionality. Additionally, the interior of the shoe features dual-branded insoles. The new lineup of New Balance x Miu Miu sneakers is available in-store at Miu Miu locations worldwide, and online at Miu Miu’s website until the end of February.

Bad Bunny x Adidas Forum Low “Cangrejeros:” First Look

Bad Bunny and Adidas are continuing their successful collaboration with a new version of the Forum Low. The German brand and the Grammy-award-winning artist are celebrating Puerto Rican hoops. The upcoming Bad Bunny x Adidas Forum Low “Cangrejeros” colorway honors the Puerto Rican basketball team Los Cangrejeros de Santurce. Furthermore, Bad Bunny is also co-owner of the basketball team.

Recently, Adidas made an enormous appearance at All-Star Weekend. The brand showcased many of its upcoming 2023 products in Salt Lake City. According to the Adidas website the Adidas x Bad Bunny collaboration is an extension of Bad Bunny’s creative vision, from Puerto Rico to the world.

The Bad Bunny X Adidas Forum Low “Cangrejeros de Santurce”

The collab is a perfect way to continue their collaboration as Adidas and Adidas Basketball celebrate their on-court heritage. The Adidas Forum continues to take over the spotlight for the Three Stripes brand. Additionally, adorned on the shoe are the Los Cangrejeros de Santurce logos and signature orange, navy, and cream colorway. Written on the signature velcro straps are the words “Santurce” and “Cangrejeros” in orange. Decorated on the dual tongues is the basketball crab logo. Other highlights of the shoe include three different lace color options including grey, navy blue, and orange. Elsewhere, the years 2000, 2001, 2003, and 2007 embellished the shoe’s midsoles. These years represent the team’s eight championships. In addition, drawstring detailing decorates the back of the shoe adding an extra streetwear flare to the sneaker.

Equally important, the shoe label recently suffered a severe commercial loss, as a result of the dissolution of Kanye West and Adidas’ partnership. It brings up the question of whether the Puerto Rican superstar will fill in the void and legacy left by Ye. Moreover, the collaboration has already been quite successful for both the shoe label and the artist. There is no doubt that Bad Bunny might be next in line for the Adidas throne. The Bad Bunny x Adidas Forum Low “Cangrejeros” sneakers are expected to release in 2023 on the Adidas website and select retailers. A date and price point have not been officially announced. Overall, this has proven to be a very successful endeavor for Nike. They understand that broadening their consumer base is going to lead to better growth for the business. Overall, the Nike Dunk High is a hard shoe to hate. This is a sneaker that was created all the way back in the 1980s. Since that time, it has continued to be a classic that fans always seem to come back to. Although this shoe had a bit of a hiatus a couple of years ago, it has seen a huge resurgence. LeBron x Nike Air Max 1 “Liverpool” Revealed

LeBron James is not just an amazing basketball player. He is also a businessman who has his hand in a whole bunch of different industries. Overall, he has become a billionaire thanks to all of his endeavors. Although this can be overwhelming, he has done a great job of keeping tabs on all of his investments. One of his biggest investments has been in Liverpool FC. Of course, Liverpool is one of the most legendary soccer clubs in England, and they have had a whole bunch of success as of late.

Throughout the years, LeBron has showcased his love of Liverpool in various different ways. One of the best ways he has done this is through his sneaker deal with Nike. For the most part, he comes through with Liverpool colorways of his infamous LeBron signature line. However, there are other times when he will transplant the Liverpool aesthetic onto an already established and iconic Nike silhouette. Now, he is set to do that with the Nike Air Max 1.

Druski Reveals How Jack Harlow Gets Him Shoes

In just a few weeks, Druski will embark on his nationwide comedy tour. The “Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda Tour” will begin on March 2 and end on July 15. Including 34 dates in 23 different states and the District of Columbia, this will be his first stand-up comedy tour. But before then, he paid a visit to Complex’s Sneaker Shopping YouTube show. This is the second time he’s been on the show, with his first taking place in October 2020. This time, he and host Joe La Puma hit a sneaker store in Atlanta.

For the first episode of their 17th season of Sneaker Shopping, Complex and Joe had some juicy questions for Druski. First, the two discussed how Druski used to always wear the black and red “Playoffs Bred” Jordan 11 shoes. Druski explained how he always rocked them because they were a gift and he “was broke.” Later on, Druski explained that he can’t wear shoes like Jordan 3s or Adidas Stan Smiths because they aren’t “fat n***a shoes” with support on the side.

The most riveting portion of the interview, though, came when La Puma asked Druski about his friendship with Jack Harlow. Druski, who was wearing an orange pair of New Balance 2002R “Refined Future” shoes, said Harlow is his NB supplier. Harlow, who has a shoe deal with New Balance, helps Druski get discounted pairs of sneakers. “He’s definitely something for New Balance, they’re giving him that check,” he said. “He always sends that shipment. I don’t gotta pay too much for New Balance. It’s a good plug to have for sure.”

At the end of the episode, Druski arrived at the counter to buy himself and his three friends a few pairs. After racking up a staggering bill though, he decided to remove his friends’ kicks and only buy shoes for himself and his mother. Decreasing the total from $10,312.83 to $2,395.80, he ended up taking home purple Jordan 4 Retros, Yeezy Boost 700s, Nike x Off-White Dunk Lows, another pair of Nike Dunk Lows, blue New Balances and a Hellstar T-shirt. Air Jordan 6 “Gore-Tex” To Drop In Wild Colorway: First Look

Michael Jordan won his very first NBA title in an Air Jordan 6. Consequently, this shoe became extremely famous. Although, it should be noted that the Jordan 6 is already an amazing silhouette. It has a very cool racecar vibe with the heel tab acting as a spoiler of sorts. Throughout the years, Jordan Brand has done quite a bit with the AJ6. Overall, it has built up a truly impressive and extensive library that is hard to measure up to. Just a couple of years ago, this shoe celebrated its 30th birthday, and it continues to make noise.

Throughout the year of 2023, sneakerheads should expect the Air Jordan 6 to continue its reign of dominance. This is one of those shoes that will never get old, and Jordan Brand is aware of this. That said, we are starting to get an influx of teasers as it pertains to this year’s AJ6 offerings. So far, there have been some interesting models to be shown off. Subsequently, we are now getting wind of a women’s exclusive that will be modeled after the Nike ACG Air Mowabb.

“Gore-Tex” Air Jordan 6

Thanks to @zsneakerheadz and sneakerfiles.com, we now have a photoshop rendering of the Air Jordan 6 “Gore-Tex. As you can see, this does a great job of mimicking the Air Mowabb. The shoe begins with a beige suede upper, while the midsole is a mixture of brown and forest green with specks. Additionally, the sneaker has some purple on the tongue, with an orange lining as well. Overall, this is one of those colorways that is going to make an impression on people, whether good or bad.

For now, not much is known about this shoe’s release date other than the fact that it is slated to drop during the Holiday season. Moreover, this shoe will cost $250 USD due to the Gore-Tex materials. This is going to be a polarizing model, although if you like traversing through the elements, these will be for you.
