A lot of this has to do with Nike losing the Kobe brand a few years ago. However, they have gotten the brand back and they are looking to relaunch it all together. This is huge news for all of the sneakerheads out there. Moreover, this is an even bigger deal for all of Kobe’s fans.

With the Nike Kobe 8 Protro set to make its big return, we are starting to get some teasers for new colorways. After all, if you want a new shoe to sell, you’re going to have to produce a plethora of new offerings. These Kobe 8 colorways will be released starting at the end of the month and will continue into next year. Below, you can find the first of these colorways. It is simply called “Halo” and it has a fairly basic aesthetic that many can appreciate.

Firstly, the shoe begins with a white upper. Secondly, we get a white Nike swoosh and a white midsole. Oh, and we also get a white tongue and white laces…and we get a white a insole. Pretty well the entire sneaker here is white, except for a bit of the outsole which is black. That said, this a very clean colorway and we think a lot of people are going to be into it.

Nike Kobe 8 Protro “Triple-White” Unveiled

One of the best upcoming releases of this year will certainly be the Nike Kobe 8 Protro. Overall, this year marks the 10-year-anniversary of this sneaker’s general release. Ultimately, this shoe served as Kobe Bryant’s signature silhouette during the 2012-2013 season. Although this season was forgettable for a few reasons, it still had some fun moments. As for the Nike Kobe 8, it remained a favorite amongst fans and sneakerheads. Now that Nike has the Kobe license back, they can finally bring this out as a Protro.

Subsequently, fans are expecting a whole host of amazing colorways to be shown off this year. Of course, Kobe wore this shoe a lot in 2013, and fans want to see those offerings return. However, Nike also knows that they have to give fans the bare essentials as well. For instance, it seems like the Nike Kobe 8 Protro will be given a triple-white colorway. If you are a sneakerhead or just a casual consumer, you will probably know what this shoe already looks like. Thankfully, we still have some official images to show us the way.

“Triple-White” Nike Kobe 8 Protro

In the photos both above and below, you can so clearly see that this shoe is ghost white. In fact, the sneaker is so white that you can barely make out the Mamba logo on the tongue or the Nike swoosh on the sides. However, it is there. The mesh throughout the upper is white and that works well with the white laces. The white midsole also helps bring this shoe together. Did we mention that the sneaker is white? Either way, these are very nice and will be extremely difficult to not get dirty. Still, these will rock during the summer.

Kobe Bryant is one of the best players ever. Overall, he is considered to be a top-three talent in the history of the game, and he definitely deserves the designation. He captured an entire generation, and besides Michael Jordan, he was the most competitive player ever.

Unfortunately, Kobe’s passing in 2020 left many fans in shock and in mourning. Subsequently, fans rushed to their local store to buy Kobe sneakers that they could remember him by. After losing their Kobe deal last year, Nike is back with the Bryant estate, and they plan on bringing back his shoes in a big way next year.

Return Of The Nike Kobe 8 Protro

Recently, we reported on how the Nike Kobe 4 Protro is set to return in 2023. Now, it is being reported that the Nike Kobe 8 Protro will also see a release in 2023. This should be very good news for fans of the legendary basketball superstar.

Simply put, more Kobes are making their way to the market. The Kobe line has always been a fan-favorite amongst sneakerheads, so there are plenty of reasons to be rejoicing right now. Hopefully, some awesome colorways will be revealed as part of this new range.

For now, fans can probably expect a mix of retros and some new colorways here and there. Overall, that should be enough to get people excited.
