BigWalkDog’s Debut Project “Trick City” Is Here Ft. Gucci Mane, Lil Baby & More

Gucci Mane’s 1017 roster is one of the most consistent in the South right now. Wop’s penchant for identifying talent early is certainly not lost but it seems the most important he passes down to his artists is the value of a strong work ethic. BigWalkDog kept his foot on the gas since inking a deal with Gucci Mane with a string of releases that have shown growth.

All the work he’s put in over the past few years accumulated into the release of his new project, Trick City. The 20-song album boasts appearances from Gucci Mane, BIG30, Lil Baby, and Pooh Shiesty. He also enlists producers like FOREVEROLLING, DRVMLVRD, Da Honorable C.N.O.T.E., and more.

Cam’ron & A-Trak’s Long-Awaited “U Wasn’t There” Is Here

Eight years ago, Cam’ron and A-Trak announced that they would be joining forces for a project titled, Federal Reserve. It was a body of work that was conceptualized by the Montreal producer, Cam and Dame Dash. However, it became one of the many projects that never ended up dropping. Fortunately, A-Trak got things back in motion recently. Today, they’ve unveiled, U Wasn’t There, a nine-song effort that merge together Cam’s multi-syllabic rhyme schemes and Harlem tales with A-Trak’s ear for production.

The new EP from Cam’ron and A-Trak boasts a heavy presence from Dame Dash across its 9 songs with additional appearances coming from Conway, Jim Jones, Styles P, Juelz Santana, and Mr. Vegas. On the production side, A-Trak holds it down with Just Blaze, DJ Khalil, Thelonious Martin, and !llmind.

DreamDoll Finishes Mixtape Series With “Life In Plastic 3” Ft. French Montana, Capella Grey, KashDoll

This release is bittersweet for DreamDoll as its delivery marks the end of an era. We received the first installment of Life in Plastic back in 2017 and today (September 23), DreamDoll is closing out the series with Life in Plastic 3. The New York City rapper has been on a meteoric rise in Hip Hop as she continues to show her evolution as an artist, and her fans are excited to see where her career takes her now that this series has concluded.

Last week, when DreamDoll unveiled Life in Plastic 3‘s album cover, she penned a note about the record.

“Thank you guys so much for being so patient with me for the past few years!” she said. “Verse after Verse, Year after Year you’ve seen how much I have perfected my craft, improved on my artistry and showed you on the features i’ve been given (which i’m very GRATEFUL for) and now you get to experience the new side of me on my OWN tracks. 8 songs may seem like a short batch of songs but these eight songs were hand picked by me to finally end the Life in Plastic Chapter.”

DaBaby Returns With “Baby On Baby 2”

DaBaby made more headlines this year for his personal life than his music. Now, the North Carolina native is back with Baby On Baby 2 — the follow-up album to his 2019 platinum selling album Baby On Baby. Back in July he announced the highly anticipated project during an appearance on the Full Send podcast, telling the Nelk boys, “This is the most attention I’ve paid to some music before I’ve dropped it. I’m gonna drop it at the beginning of August. … Baby on Baby 2.”

Although the album dropped a few weeks later than anticipated, DaBaby still delivered the 14-track body of work as promised. Baby On Baby 2 is not feature heavy whatsoever, but track 13, entitled “Blank” features the sultry sounds of soul crooner Anthony Hamilton. As fans awaiting the album, the Grammy nominated artists dropped two singles to satiate the wait; including “Waitress” and “Tough Skin.” However, neither single is featured on the album.

Muni Long Shares “Public Displays Of Affection: The Album”

She is a veteran in the industry but for many, Muni Long seems like a newcomer. The R&B maven has penned songs for some of our favorite artists over the years and while her resumé is a rare one, only recently have music lovers really been able to tap into Long’s talents as a solo artist. Her hit single “Hrs and Hrs” received viral fame and helped throw Muni’s name into the R&B ring as a formidable contender, and for this New Music Friday (September 23), she’s back with a new album.

Fans will quickly see that Public Displays of Affection: The Album has many fan favorites including the aforementioned viral hit along with “Time Machine” and “Cartier.” While it does fuse tracks listed on her Public Displays of Affection Too EP, we do see new songs that will certainly whet the appetite of audiences worldwide.

“I am a lover,” Muni explains. “I prefer to be kind. I believe in fairy tales. The reason Public Displays of Affection worked is because love was absent in R&B.” For that breakthrough project, Muni wanted to mimic the ebbs and flows of a relationship, dipping and diving between moods and sounds-which is real, because love can be tumultuous, too.

Curren$y Drops Off “The 8 Ball Jacket”

Even though Curren$y remains one of the most prolific rappers of all time, he told HNHH earlier this year that he was planning to slow down his release schedule following Continuance. However, that wasn’t a commitment that lasted a long time. In June, he slid through with the release of Spring Clean and its deluxe version and he still has more in the stash.

As a staple of the blog era, he came through this week with a brand new project titled, The 8 Ball Jacket, exclusively available as a free download on JetLife.com. It’s an 8-song effort with appearances from Mac and Premo Ice that showcases Curren$y’s pristine flow and lifestyle bars.

King Los Takes On Songs From Frank Ocean, Kendrick Lamar & More On “Goat Tape 2”

If you’re looking for some quality bars, then King Los has you covered. The rapper returned this weekend with the release of his latest project, GOAT Tape 2, which brings it back to the essence of mixtapes. This time, he slides through with a lengthy 22 songs in total with very few guest appearances except BDot The God, and Kye Thompson, who appears twice. GOAT Tape 2 sees Los taking on some of the biggest songs of the past year and beyond. From Frank Ocean’s “Novacane” to Kodak Black’s “Super Gremlin,” Los tears through each beat with ease.

Prior to dropping his new project, he blessed fans with 4 Piece Nuggets where he dished bars over songs from Drake, Busta Rhymes, and more.

OVO Sound Radio Season 4 Episode 18 Rotates Tracks From EST Gee, Ice Spice, NAV, & More

What better way to fight off your Sunday Scaries than with a new episode of OVO Sound?

This weekend, both Oliver and G0homeroger shared sets with some of their favourite tracks from the biggest names in the industry right now. As per usual, the former kicked things off, this time around showing love to EST Gee’s I Never Felt Nun album with tracks like “Shoot It Myself” featuring Future and a solo title called “Hell.”

Other artists who got their flowers include Lil Jairmy, Lil Gotit, Lil Baby, BAKA NOT NICE, BlueBucksClan, Chris Brown, and even Central Cee’s impressive L.A. Leakers freestyle. Ice Spice, Fivio Foreign, Wizkid, and Drake, were among the names who rounded out the first set.

For his part, G0homeroger began with an homage to rising star Yeat, playing two tracks back to back – “Wat it feel lyke” and “Flawless” featuring Lil Uzi Vert.

NAV and Gunna’s “Playa” collaboration was also included, along with titles from Kay Flock, Shawny Binlader, GMO Stax, Jugg Harden, and DaeMoney. The final song of this week’s episode came from YungLiV with “Big Livvy 2.”
