Murda Beatz & Shordie Shordie Unite For Joint Project “Memory Lane” Ft. Trippie Redd

The rollout to the release of Memory Lane has been a graceful one. Like many other producer-rapper pairs that have come before them, Murda Beatz and Shordie Shoride came together for a project that fans have been enjoying bits of over the last few months. They’ve already shared several singles including “Love” and “Doctors,” and now fans can hear what Murda and Shordie have been working on in its totality.

Memory Lane. It takes us back. It takes us back to memories or real music,” Shordie told Uproxx. “Because I been picturing bro and hearing bro talk. It brings me back to real music. It brings me back to not really caring about streaming, not really caring about who got higher status this week. Nah, real music. Push out real music to the point that people don’t have no other way to gravitate towards it. They don’t have a choice but to gravitate towards it.”

The project hosts only one feature from Trippie Redd. Stream Memory Lane and share your thoughts.

Drakeo The Ruler Releases “The Truth Hurts”

Drakeo The Ruler hit the ground running once he was released from prison in 2020. He’s certainly been making up for the lost time by releasing tons of new music from out of the vault. Today, he emerged with his latest body of work, The Truth Hurts. The rapper’s latest project is a 16 track effort, marking his most mainstream project yet. Along with the Drake feature that appears on “Talk To Me,” the rapper also enlists the likes of Don Toliver, Pressa, Snap Dogg, Ralfy The Plug, and more. The late Ketchy The Great, who was a prominent member of the Stinc Team, makes four posthumous appearances on the project, as well.

10k.Caash Unleashes New Project “Public Announcement”

As TikTok dances propel relatively unknown artists into the limelight, you’d think that 10K.Caash would be basking in the glory by now. The success of his single, “Aloha” and the launch of “The Woah” dance should’ve made him a household name by now but he’s still grinding hard out here. 2020, specifically, was a busy year for him that included the release of two projects, Freshman Year and Planet Swajjur

He’s back in action with his latest offering to set the tone with 2021. The rapper slid through earlier this month with the release of his latest body of work,  Public Announcement. Laced with 12 tracks, 10K enlists K.T., Young Jordan, and Taee Joness for guest appearances.

HNHH & Tunecore “Heat Seekers” Winner Marlo Smith Drops New Project “Black Boy 2”

Broward County has produced some incredible rappers, including Kodak Black, YNW Melly, Ski Mask the Slump God, and so many others. Could Marlo Smith be the next star from the region after winning HNHH and Tunecore‘s “Heat Seekers” contest?

Back in April 2020, we featured Marlo Smith as part of the “Heat Seekers” contest, which we organized with Tunecore. After showcasing twelve great up-and-coming artists, we’re proud to announce Marlo Smith as the winner. What’s a better way to celebrate than to release a new EP, following up on his original Black Boy tape two years later with the release of the sequel.

The new project serves as an ode to Marlo Smith’s African-Caribbean heritage, as well as Black History Month. Each of the five records featured on the EP shows a different perspective on Smith’s own experience growing up as a Black boy in America. A full range of emotion is displayed on Black Boy 2, exploring neo-soul vibes and showcasing Smith’s talent as a wordsmith.

In addition to the new project, which was uploaded to all major DSPs, Marlo also released the music video for “Penny Loafers”. Check that out below.

Congratulations to Marlo Smith on winning HNHH and Tunecore‘s “Heat Seekers” contest! What do you think of his new music?
