6 Dogs Posthumously Releases New Album “RONALD”

6 Dogs was adored by underground rap fans. The late 21-year-old Atlanta-based artist had just completed work on his latest studio album RONALD, originally titled Wavebuilder’s Club, deciding to change the title to his given name before he passed away. Known to his fans by his middle name Chase, 6 Dogs took his own life at the beginning of this year, fully delivering his new album before passing. The album you’re hearing today is exactly as it was intended to be heard by Chase, with all of the singles, music videos, cover artwork, and more fitting right into the artist’s vision.

RONALD was preceded by the “Starfire (Teen Titans)” and “Beach House” singles. The twelve-track album is officially available now with features from RIZ LA VIE and Tahj Keeton.

“We are here to help each other and we’re here to change the world,” said 6 Dogs in an interview with Pigeons & Planes, which was published this week. “It’s clutch time. There’s a lot of horrible stuff going on, but there’s also a lot of good people doing a lot of good things. I personally think that energy is so much stronger.”

Drag-On Keeps Ruff Ryders Spirit Alive With “BOF4”

Though the Ruff Ryders dynasty is no more, the spirit of the movement remains beloved by many hip-hop fans. And for many such fans, it’s entirely possible that Drag-On was a favorite member for at least one time or another. Now, the rapper who originally won hearts on classic cuts like “Down Bottom” and “Street Team” has returned with another installment of the Bars On Fire series, officially dropping off the incendiary #BOF4 project.

Having long established himself as a preserver of bars, it’s no surprise that Drag carries on the tradition here, packing his seventeen-track tape with some heavy-hitting and lyrically potent tracks. Boasting features from fellow vets Freeway and Jayo Felony, Drag opts to explore a diverse range of production, with contributors ranging from Syne, Yung Bala, Craze On The Beat, and more.

Should you appreciate the unique energy that Drag has consistently brought to the table, you’d be wise to check out #BOF4, a project that takes hold on the introductory cut and never lets up. Don’t get it twisted, however. Though Drag’s values may be aligned with the golden-era spirit, he’s more than willing to explore a more contemporary production style, though he may occasionally do so with a chip on his shoulder. Be sure to check out #BOF4 now, and sound off if you think Drag deserves a little more spotlight in these crazy times of ours.

With the All-Star Weekend taking place in Atlanta, K Camp made sure to have a soundtrack prepared for the festivities with the release of RARE Sounds’ RARE Family (Reloaded). The rapper boosts the original 12-song tracklist with an additional eight songs, bringing it up to 20 songs in total. Lil Bird, K Camp, True Story Gee, and more contribute to the tracklist while Mozzy assists on “Stack N Pray.”

The hype surrounding Coming 2 America has been real. There’s been anticipation for a sequel to the film for years now, though there’s always been some sort of skepticism regarding whether it would actually come to life. The film arrived a day earlier than expected on Amazon Prime. Given the amount of star power they brought on for the film, it was only right that the soundtrack represents it equally. The Coming 2 America OST arrived on Friday along with another body of work called Rhythms Of Zamunda highlighting predominantly African artists. They bring together some of the biggest names from America and Africa on board with artists like Burna Boy, Teyana Taylor, Davido, Tiwa Savage, YG, Big Sean, and more contributing.
