Asiahn Delivers A Lush Orchestral Version Of “The Interlude”

Three-time Grammy-nominated artist Asiahn has been on a roll throughout this first strech of 2021. On January 11, the singer-songwriter released her Since the 80s and Motown debut, the melodic The Interlude EP. Now, roughly two months later, Asiahn is revisiting her impressive new project and treating fans with a beautiful live rendition of The Interlude.

In contrast to the original version of The Interlude, Asiahn’s latest release reworks the EP’s tracklisting and gives listeners a more fullfilling and layered listening experience. The tight production of the project’s initial release is traded in for a lush orchestral arrangement that breathes new life into The Interlude standouts like “Gucci Frames” and “Messed Up,” and the gorgeous soundscape makes for the perfect backdrop for Asiahn’s soaring vocals.

The EP, in both the original and orchestral forms, reportedly celebrates a new phase for Asiahn that can be summed up as a period of blossoming and fresh growth, and the Grammy-nominated artist’s stellar performance does nothing to suggest otherwise. In addition to the live version of The Interlude hitting streaming services, fans of the South Carolina-raised and Los Angeles-based artist can also watch the orchestral performance of all five songs on YouTube.

Are you feeling the orchestral version of Asiahn’s The Interlude EP?

Tracklist:

1. My World (Orchestral Performacne)
2. Get Away (Orchestral Performance)
3. Drunk (Orchestral Performance)
4. Messed Up (Orchestral Performance)
5. Gucci Frames (Orchestral Performance)

Lil B Drops 90-Track Mixtape “Santa” Like It’s Christmas

There’s no shortage of Lil B music in the world. The enigmatic West Coast rapper has undoubtedly been one of the most influential rappers in the game, even if he doesn’t get his dues. His guerrilla marketing approach influenced others to tackle promoting their music in a similar matter, for better or for worse.

It’s only been a few months since the rapper released his last project, the 100-song effort, Hoop Life 2 that included an audio version of his lecture at the University Of Florida. This week, the rapper returned with his holiday-themed project, Santa. The project includes 90 songs in total with acapellas, instrumentals, and collaborations alongside Young L, Gata GED, Soulja Boy, OJ Da Juiceman, and more.

Jacob Banks Offers His New Project “Parade”

Nigerian-born, UK-based singer Jacob Banks was relatively lowkey throughout 2020 with the exception of a few singles. The singer offered his collaboration with Grace Carter, “Blame” as well as “Like You’ll Never See Me…” but it’s been nearly three years since his last project and fans have been eager to hear a new body of work.

This weekend, he slid through with a short effort that he’s been working on throughout the COVID-19 pandemic titled, For My Friends. The eight-track EP was created with his long-time collaborator Sillkey remotely while Yakob, Sam De Jong, Spencer Stewart and Jonah Christian also assisted in putting the project together.

As we await the release of his follow-up to 2018’s Village, his latest project should give a sense of where his heads at these days. Press play below.

Papoose Unveils “February” Mixtape

Papoose came with some sad news earlier this year when he announced that he would be retiring from rap. At a time when lyrical artists aren’t dominating the game as they once was, Pap is here to fill in the void with slick wordplay and solid overall bars. This week, the rapper returned with his mixtape February. The rapper’s latest body of work is a nine-track effort where he just snaps over production, proving that he’s one of the nicest to ever touch a mic. He even touches Big L’s “Ebonics” beat and offers a solid update appropriate for 2021.

Check out the latest from Papoose below.

  2. Ebonics 2021
  3. What Happened

Cory Gunz Unveils New Project “Tims N Hoodies”

Cory Gunz left an everlasting impact with his verse on Lil Wayne’s “6 Foot 7 Foot.” The Young Money empire isn’t as strong as it once was but he remains part of the Young Money Militia, as he rapped on the song. Unfortunately, he took a bit of a break from the rap game that lasted roughly three years. Earlier this year, he made his way back into the limelight with the release of “Different” and now, he’s offered Tims N Hoodies in its entirety. The project is nine-songs in length with a single feature coming from Gudda Gudda who joins Gunz on “SDE (Sports Drugz Entertainment) Freestyle.”

If you’ve been waiting on new music from Cory Gunz, this project won’t disappoint. Check out Tims N Hoodies below.

Gudda Gudda Drops New Project “Nina”

The Young Money empire isn’t what it once was. After all, every empire is bound to face its own decline at some point. The height of the Young Money camp included artists like Jae Millz and Gudda Gudda getting some mainstream shine, though, with Wayne’s arrest and the subsequent label issues, we haven’t heard a whole lot from them.

Gudda Gudda has been unveiling new projects over the past few months. In 2020, he unveiled 7 Slugs. Now, he’s back with his new project Nina. Equipped with nine tracks and no credited features, Gudda Gudda showcases his talents in full without holding back.

Keep your eyes peeled for more new music from Gudda Gudda and check out his brand new project, Nina below. Sound off in the comments with your favorite track.

Spiffy Global has been responsible for a few massive hits, working alongside artists like Gucci Mane, Rory Fresco and plenty of others over the years. However, with his solo projects, he continues to prove he’s far more than just a beatmaker — he’s a producer that has an incredible ear for putting the right talent on the right beat.

This week, the producer emerged with his latest Ep, Out The Blue. It’s a short effort that includes a few of his frequent collaborators from the past. It’s a project that consists of five songs in total with collaborations alongside artists like Stunna 4 Vegas, Hoodrich Pablo Juan, CEO Trayle, Johnny Cinco, Lil Dude, and Goonew.
