645AR Shares New EP “Most Hated”

Trolling might actually be considered a form of artistic expression to some, especially if their name is 645AR. The viral sensation became an instant meme last year which, unlike most, propelled his career rather than derail it. His high-pitched, squeaky flows will leave an impression on you, whether you like it or not.

As he continues to buzz on the internet, the rapper slid through with his latest body of work, Most Hated earlier today. Laced with eight songs in total — and no shortness of squeaking — 645AR offers a careful glimpse into his world with assistance from Lil Tracy, Robb Banks, Lil Crank, and Smallz. SenseiATL handles a large portion of the project’s production with Al Chapo earning co-producer credits on “Collection Of 10.”

Justin Bieber Drops Surprise EP “Freedom” For Easter Sunday

Talk about work ethic. Justin Bieber surprised fans on Easter Sunday with a new EP entitled Freedom. The six-track EP comes right on the heels of his sixth studio album Justice, which debuted just last month. A bonus edition to that project, with six new songs, dropped just two weeks ago. This man is grinding.

Freedom features appearances from Brandon Love, Chandler Moore, Pink Sweats, Judah Smith, Tori Kelly, and Lauren Walters. As expected from an Easter project, the album is strongly Christian. We’re honestly surprised Kanye West isn’t on Freedom, but maybe he’ll get on the follow up project that. Stream the new EP and let us know what you think below.

Quelly Woo Picks Up Where Pop Smoke Left Off On “Tactical Pressure”

Brooklyn may have another soon-to-be superstar on its hands.

After treating fans with the motivational single “Pain Into Passion” at the tail-end of February, New York rapper Quelly Woo has finally dropped off his new project Tactical Pressure. With a voice and delivery that’s eerily similar to the late Pop Smoke’s, Quelly Woo uses his latest release to pick up where his fellow Brooklyn artist left off.

The full title of the Canarsie, Brooklyn-based rapper’s new project is Tactical Pressure Volume One, A Movie Starrting Quelly Woo aka Mr. TP, and although Quelly Woo’s nine-track project isn’t packed with movie-like skits, it does boast a bunch of the cinematic production that the Brooklyn Drill scene is known for. The extended title of the project also adds context to Quelly Woo’s nickname Mr. TP, which he reveals to be an abbreviation for “Tactical Pressure.”

The Pop Smoke influence is clear all throughout the rising artist’s new EP, especially on the project’s closer “TNP (Tomorrow Never-Promised),” and Quelly even shouted out the late Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon artist, saying, “R.I.P THE LEGEND I KNO HE WOO WALKIN UP IN HEAVEN.”

Sylvan LaCue Heals His Inner Child On “Young Sylvan Ep. 2”

Florida rapper Sylvan LaCue had a traumatic upbringing in Miami, but he’s ready to put his demons to rest once and for all on Young Sylvan Ep. 2. While the first installment of his newest February EP saw him being a bit more intense and standoffish, Young Sylvan Ep. 2 embraces emotion and vulnerability for the purpose of healing. “Whereas YS1 was rapid and abrasive, YS2 slows things down just enough for the listener to pick up patterns and see exactly what this whole thing is about,” LaCue said.

On tracks like “Power Rangers,” which was LaCue’s favorite show growing up, he wants the world to know that he’s invincible, and he isn’t taking anyone’s disrespect. “There was a sense of invincibility every time I watched [Power Rangers],” LaCue said. “This song was made with that same sentiment of invincibility.”

Sylvan LaCue’s descriptive and poignant storytelling skills are a frontrunner on the EP, especially on “Bowser In The Sky,” the project’s closing track, “I’ve seen all the morals go out the window and betrayal cross as soon as I looked up / Shook so many hands and delivered so many deeds without asking because the universe is peeping.” LaCue’s steadily building fanbase is sure to explode with this release, as vulnerability is not a virtue taken lightly.

Tracklist:

2. Trauma
3. Power Rangers (feat. Orianthi)

Jasiah Is Ready For “War” On His Electrifying New Album

Last spring, Jasiah kicked off the rollout to his highly-anticipated follow up to 2019’s Jasiah I Am by unleashing the gnarly screamo-rap smash “Break Shit.” A year later, the Dayton, Ohion native has finally returned with his latest album, titled War.

War is a seven-track project that features high-octane guest contributions from artists such as Pouya, Rico Nasty, TheHxliday, and Nascar Aloe. Clocking in at a runtime of approximately 16 minutes, Jasiah’s electrifying project is a welcomed dose of energy. In addition the incredible guest appearances, the beat selection on War is also worthy of praise, from the ugly — yet thumping — production on “Spit” to the eclectic video game-style production on “Unintelligible.” Even with four of the seven songs being previously shared by the “Shenanigans” artist over the past year, War is still one of the most refreshing alternative rap releases to drop this year.

If you were a fan of xxxtentacion’s hype and screamo output, then you should definitely give Jasiah’s new album a listen. Check it out below and let us know what you think.

Tracklist:

1. Zit (feat. Pouya)
2. Break Shit
3. In N Out (feat. TheHxliday & Rico Nasty)
4. Spit

Mello Music Group Drops Off “Bushido” Complilation Album

Today, Mello Music Group has officially dropped off their new compilation album Bushido, a project that features contributions from Quelle Chris, Open Mike Eagle, Solemn Brigham, Oddisee, Homeboy Sandman, Zackey Force Funk, Skyzoo, Namir Blade, Oddisee, James Shahan, Joell Ortiz, Stalley, Dueling Experts, RJ Payne, Murs, Cambatta, Kool Keith, B-Real, and The Perceptionists. Given the stacked tracklist, it’s no surprise that the album features twenty tracks, the majority of which feature a heavy emphasis on lyricism.

With a concept that draws inspiration from ancient samurai tradition, Bushido appropriately features several emcees who have perfected and honed their craft over the years. It’s evident from the onset, as the introductory “Iron Steel Samurai” finds Quelle Chris dexterously spitting bars over vintage Alchemist production. Posse cut “Black Rock” featuring Joell Ortiz, Stalley, Namir Blade, and Solemn Brigham is another hard-hitting highlight, as is the penultimate “Zero Fux” with Kool Keith, B-Real, and Joell Ortiz.

While the project will almost certainly not be for everyone, those who can appreciate what Mello Music Group is bringing to the table will find much to unpack on this lyrically dense endeavor. Should you favor the spirit of underground hip-hop, fueled by dexterous and reference-laden penmanship, be sure to check out Bushido for your listening pleasure. And for those who have taken the plunge, sound off in the comments with your favorite tracks.

Bankroll Freddie Unleashes His Fiery New Project Feat. Megan The Stallion, 2 Chainz, Young Dolph & More

Quality Control rapper Bankroll Freddie began the rollout of his first project since signing to Motown earlier in the year with the release of “Add It Up.” The Arkansas-native has finally followed up with the release of Big Bank, his first major release since last year’s From Trap to Rap album, featuring guest vocals from fellow artists like 2 Chainz, Gucci Mane, Megan thee Stallion, Young Scooter, EST Gee, PnB Rock, and BIG30.

Admittedly, there’s something left to be desired in the beat selection throughout the project. Big Bank often relies heavily on layering his bars with repetitive melodies implementing similar arrangements, making for an interesting listening experience if you’re not a huge fan of trap. Nonetheless, highlights from the project include the declaratory track, “Active,” the 2 Chainz and Young Scooter assisted track, “Dope Talk,” and “Pop It” with Megan thee Stallion.

Check out the tracklist below and give it a listen. Of course, let us know what you think down in the comments.
