DJ Drewski finally delivered his highly anticipated debut project ‘Seat At The Table’ on Friday (April 9). The New Jersey native has been making a name for himself in the music industry through his record-spinning on Hot 97 as well as his work as a VEVO brand ambassador and a Love & Hip Hop: New York cast member. With his latest release, he’s showing listeners that he can curate a sophisticated body of work on his own.

Boasting 13 tracks and appearances from the likes of A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Trap Manny, Sheff G, Fivio Foreign, Sleepy Hallow, Coi Leray, Rubi Rose, Jay Critch, and more, Drewski brings together the hottest artists in the rap and R&B game alike for the star-studded production. Charlie Heat Delivers Impressive “Valentine’s Son” Ft. Sevyn Streeter, Ant Clemons, Twelve’len

His latest R&B compilation album may be named Valentine’s Son, but Charlie Heat doesn’t use all of his time on the records exploring aspects of love. It is true, however, that does exist on this project and quite heavily, but the record is named after his mother, Valentine, and it also touches on aspects of their relationship, as well. Heat is a Grammy-nominated producer with the knack for working with artists like Travis Scott, Pusha T, Madonna, and Kanye West, but it’s always refreshing when he steps onto the music landscape with his own projects at the forefront.

“I’ve always been known for the energy I bring to my beats in Hip Hop, so I wanted to give my fans a different experience with my art through R&B,” said Heat. On Valentine’s Son, he taps artists like Germaine, Fifteenafter, Sevyn Streeter, Ant Clemons, Aria Bléu, Yuma, Twelve’len, and Dougie F to round out the album. Night Lovell Emerges From The Shadows With “BOTTOM TOP”

It’s fitting that the cover art of Night Lovell’s new project centers around a ghoulish grin. The Ottawa rapper has been steadily delivering his own unique blend of shadowy hip-hop for some time now, conjuring up distorted and nightmarish soundscapes to back his detached delivery. It’s been enough to elevate the young artist into somewhat of a cult hero, an underrated prospect that continues to run solid numbers.

Today, Lovell has come through to keep his momentum rolling, dropping off a new three-pack boasting the oxymoronic title of BOTTOM TOP. Clocking in at an immensely listenable six minutes, broken up into three two-ish minute songs.

Stylistically, Lovell continues to trudge deeper into the heart of darkness. The introductory title track finds him sliding over an uptempo banger, though not even the most frantic synthesizers could elicit a change in his tone. Easy highlight “Counting Down The List” features a heavy horrorcore vibe, driven by a chilling piano loop and an unsettling synth whine. Last but not least is “Alone,” the climactic track on which Lovell locks in with a focused flow over hard-hitting and distorted percussion.

Should you be looking to indulge in a little bit of under-the-radar Canadian hip-hop, Night Lovell’s BOTTOM TOP is a premium choice — especially if your musical preferences veer toward the dark and unsettling. If this is a prelude to his next studio album, perhaps Night Lovell’s best work is truly yet to come.
