Maeta Unveils Her Latest Project “Habits”

Indianapolis native Maeta has been an artist to keep an eye out for since 2019’s Do Not Disturb. Fast forward two years later, and she’s proven precisely why with the major label debut Habits. The R&B star’s latest project is seven songs in length with appearances from Buddy, BEAM, and Leven Kali. Habits also boasts production from Kaytranada, Skrillex, Mustard, and more.

Habits is about everything that comes with being in a toxic relationship – love, anger, sex, growth, self-esteem,” Maeta said of the project in a statement. “I was finding my way through one during the making of this project, so it was like therapy for me during that time. I’m so excited for everyone to hear this project, and my hope is that people connect with the music and feel uplifted, healed, and understood.”

Dawn Richard Shares New Album “Second Line”

It’s relatively difficult for any member of a pop group to embark on their solo careers and have it be nearly as successful as their group efforts. Though she became known to the public for her work in Danity Kane, Dawn Richard’s solo efforts have been equally as fulfilling. On Friday, the singer returned with her latest body of work, Second Line. The album serves as the follow-up to New Breed which arrived in 2019. Second Line is a sixteen-song effort that finds Richard exploring her New Orleans heritage with elements of funk, electronic, rock, and bounce innovatively infused into her R&B sound.

Teejayx6 Teams Up With Lex Luger For 6-Track EP “Generation Scam”

If self-snitching had a spokesperson, it would probably be Teejayx6. The artist has made a name off of his scam raps where he goes into detail about how he allegedly steals credit cards and lurks on the internet with various VPN services. He has absolutely no shame when it comes to these bars and with his latest EP, Generation Scam, Teejayx6 continues to demonstrate that he simply does not care what listeners may think of him.

What’s immediately striking about this project is that all six songs are produced by Lex Luger. Sonically, this album is incredibly tight and from a lyrical standpoint, Teejay seems more focused than ever before. Instead of his usual talking flow, the artist experiments more with his voice and it makes for an interesting listen. On songs like “EDD Baby” and “Too Loyal,” we get features from 24hrs and Boldy James, respectively.

Overall, it’s a solid project and you can stream it, below.

Tracklist:

1. Triler
2. EDD Baby (ft. 24hrs)
3. Hit Stick
4. Dumpin
5. Shoot
6. Too Loyal (ft. Boldy James)
