Mustard’s Car Was Totaled By A Drunk Driver On The Freeway But He’s More Upset About His Wrecked Bike

LA is well-known for its near-constant traffic and the accompanying collisions, but one of the city’s most prominent artists recently had his own run-ins with the city’s infamous driving hazards. Mustard posted the aftermath of his recent accident on Instagram, describing how a drunk driver slammed his truck into the wall on the freeway, totaling the vehicle and destroying his Trek Bike, which was attached to the roof.

“Last night a drunk driver hit me and another car on the freeway slammed my car into the wall,” he recalled. “All the airbags came out totaled by my truck shit felt like a movie.” Fortunately, he says, he walked away with only “minor injuries no major injuries thank you god.” He even managed to point out he was more upset by the loss of his bike, writing, “On top of that my trek bike was in the back. My sh*t was broke. I was more mad about that than my car, man.”

Thankfully, he walked away relatively unscathed and he’ll no doubt be able to replace both the bike and the truck with the fruits of his past year of labors, which included production for Coi Leray, The Kid Leroi, and Roddy Ricch, while he’s also set to star in the upcoming movie Sneaks.

The Kid Laroi Officially Ends The ‘F*ck Love’ Era With A ‘Still Chose You’ Video And A Letter To His Fans

The F*ck Love era has been prosperous for The Kid Laroi, and now, the rapper officially brings it to an end with a video for the Mustard-featuring “Still Chose You.” He announced the conclusion of the F*ck Love era in a letter she shared on social media today.

In the message, he explained why he shared today’s video, saying, “I know that record is a fan favorite, so I felt that it was only right for that to be the video that finally closes the ‘F*ck Love’ era.”

He also noted that he’s gearing up to take a break, saying, “Last week I went on a small vacation for the first time in a while. During that time I started thinking, and I made the decision that I need to take some time away from everything and focus on the next project; my debut album. I’m going to miss you all beyond words can describe, but I do believe that this is what I need to do to give you all the best music possible.”

Laroi ended the message by promising to be “back soon.”

“To my beloved fans,

I hope you all enjoy the ‘Still Chose You’ video! I know that record is a fan favorite, so I felt that it was only right for that to be the video that finally closes the ‘F*ck Love’ era.

It’s been a wild year to say the least. Seeing the impact of the project and hearing about how it’s helped and changed so many peoples lives is f*ckin’ beautiful — but also incredibly surreal. It’s the reason why I do this sh*t. My life has also changed so much this past year because of it and I owe I owe it all to every single one of you. There is no way I will ever be able to repay you.

Last week I went on a small vacation for the first time in a while. During that time I started thinking, and I made the decision that I need to take some time away from everything and focus on the next project; my debut album. I’m going to miss you all beyond words can describe, but I do believe that this is what I need to do to give you all the best music possible.

I’ll be back soon, I promise.

I love you,
Laroi.”

Coi Leray Is Lonely ‘At The Top’ Despite Having Kodak Black And Mustard For Company

Now that Coi Leray has featured on the 2021 XXL Freshman class, she’s got more eyes on her than ever. She makes an effort to satisfy the demand for a follow-up hit to her breakout “No More Parties” with her new single, “At The Top,” courtesy of a beat by hitmaking producer Mustard and fellow Freshman honoree Kodak Black.

Featuring a bright, uptempo beat, “At The Top” finds Coi Leray enjoying her newfound fame while reminding listeners that the only thing that’s changed is the number in her bank account. She uses a variety of flows from the lilting melody of the hook to a Playboi Carti-esque, clipped cadence at the beginning of her verse. Kodak, who was recently sentenced to probation in his 2016 sexual assault case, provides a boastful verse to bring the back end of the song home, bragging that he’s “eating branzino fish.”

Coi’s big year has also included a few feature verses as her contemporaries employed her to add her infectious charm to the remix of “Options” by Earthgang and Wale and to DDG’s “Impatient.”

Kodak Black is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.
