Angel Reese Takes Shot At Charles Barkley, Some Think It’s Aimed At Caitlin Clark

Angel Reese, a player known for her outspoken nature, has been a prominent figure since her breakout with the LSU Tigers a few years ago. Her impact, both on and off the court, has been significant since the start of her WNBA career. As her platform expands, she maintains the same attitude that has made her a household name. After the Chicago Sky’s victory over the New York Liberty on Thursday night, Reese took to social media. She addressed her critics, including, it seems, Charles Barkley, sparking speculation.

Barkley asserted on Inside the NBA on Wednesday night that rather than attacking Indiana Fever player Caitlin Clark, WNBA women should be appreciating the attention she was bringing to the league. The Caitlin Clark discourse is reaching problematic levels. Her popularity is bringing in all sorts of people to voice their opinions on a sport they don’t really know anything about. Reese appears to have taken that personally and is determined to show that a successful team requires more than just one player.

Angel Reese Throws Shots At Charles Barkley And Maybe Caitlin Clark

There are several levels in Angel Reese’s tweet that has social media buzzing. Reese, for starters, notes that her team won, which is noteworthy given that Clark and the Fever are 0-5 on the season despite being on national TV constantly, generating television viewership. Clark also references the sold-out crowd at the Sky’s win, a game that didn’t feature Caitlin Clark at all. Reese also mentions that she and her teammates are continuing to travel on charter flights. Something that WNBA players have been working to alter for years. Barkley told the WNBA players they should be grateful for Caitlin Clark improving their travel plans despite the charter flights still being up in the air for half the league.

The Twitter shots definitely targeted Barkley and other men who chimed in on the WNBA. Caitlin Clark was not mentioned, and everything Reese said was aimed at the discourse and the figures perpetuating it. Angel Reese is balling and is one of many rookies who are showcasing the future of the league. If the WNBA is smart, they will try to turn all of these spectacular rookies into household names instead of putting all their eggs in the Caitlin Clark basket.

Charles Barkley Hints At The Possibility Of “Inside The NBA” Moving Under His Production Company

TNT appears to be losing the NBA, and Charles Barkley is upset and not about to back down. The NBA legend and commentator on the popular NBA studio show Inside The NBA appeared on The Dan Patrick Show on Thursday morning. He took some jabs at his parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery. He also floated an interesting idea. He said that in the event that TNT Sports loses the NBA rights, he has explored reassembling the program at his own production company.

Barkley added that he had spoken with Kenny Smith and Shaquille O’Neal, his co-hosts, about the idea. It should be noted that WBD holds the rights to Inside the NBA. Nevertheless, if Barkley were to succeed independently, he could be able to reassemble the show under a different moniker. It is a solution to many NBA fan’s fears. The longtime program is beloved, and there has been a visible outpouring on social media celebrating and grieving the show as it looks likely next season will be its last. Charles Barkley is clearly fed up with the whole situation and is not afraid to let it show.

Charles Barkley May Have A Way To Save “Inside The NBA”

Charles Barkley said, “I have my own production company, I would love to do that if if we lose it [NBA rights],” Barkley said. “But I have definitely had — actually somebody suggested that to me, to be honest with you, on the internet — ‘so why doesn’t Charles Barkley sign these three, guys four guys total to his production company and sell it?’ I’m like, ‘That’s a great idea.’” it is a potential save that could actually work. Ernie Johnson would likely not be joining them as he stated he would remain at Turner Sports despite the NBA loss.

Barkley then went on to remark about the environment and mood around the studio. “Morale sucks, plain and simple. You know, I just feel so bad for the people I work with Dan,” Barkley said before criticizing his bosses at WBD. “These people I work with, they’ve screwed this thing up clearly. And we don’t have zero idea what’s going to happen. I don’t feel good. I’m not gonna lie, especially when they came out yesterday and said we bought college football. I was like, well damn, they could have used that money to buy the NBA.” Overall, there is a sad cloud around Inside the NBA. Let’s hope they find a way to save the iconic basketball show.

Shaq Starts Hilarious “BBL Chucky” Chant On “Inside The NBA”

On the Emmy-winning program ‘Inside the NBA,’ the dynamic quartet of Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Ernie Johnson, along with guest Draymond Green, were in their element while covering Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals series between the Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves. Amidst their usual basketball discussion, a hilarious moment unfolded. Last week, when the Timberwolves eliminated the Nuggets, Anthony Edwards, in a moment of jest, told Charles Barkley, who claimed he hadn’t been to Minnesota in 20 years, ‘Bring your a**.’ This response instantly went viral. The ‘Inside the NBA’ crew, true to their nature, had a field day with the incident during their recent broadcast, with Shaq even referencing Metro Boomin’s infamous Drake diss.

Since the TNT program would be in town to cover the aforementioned games, Charles only wanted to ask Edwards for a list of places. His question gave us Anthony Edwards’s “Bring you a**” quote as well as confirmation he will send the Chuckster Minnesota’s best restaurants, the All-Star guard promised. During last night’s broadcast, they displayed photoshopped pictures of Barkel and the crew referencing Edwards’s viral quote. It prompted Shaq to wildly say, “I didn’t know you had all that a** back there, Chuck! Let me see Chuck’s feature again. MOM. BBL Chuck! BBL Chucky!”

Shaq Seranades Charles Barkley With “BBL Chucky” Chant

Shaq’s jab against Barkley is a clear nod to Metro Boomin’s popular Drake diss record, “BBL Drizzy.” The song made an allusion to the purported cosmetic procedure that Drake was accused of having undergone. Shaq made a clever move by using the freshly released diss track to taunt Barkley. Everybody on the set was laughing, even Sir Charles.

The Inside The NBA crew is still enjoying themselves despite the tough times for the program. The impending end of the show is becoming more and more a reality as the NBA has decided to look elsewhere for its NBA rights. How can you look at last night’s “BBL Chucky” moment and not want the show to continue? It’s so good people are willing to just ignore that Draymond Green is there. Overall, it was one of many hilarious moments the show has had over the years.

LeBron James And Charles Barkley Receive Backlash For Caitlin Clark Support

LeBron James and Charles Barkley have shown their support for Caitlin Clark. Clark has received some criticism from fans about her start to the WNBA season. As the number one pick in the WNBA draft, she has massive expectations of her. As a superstar in college, she is looked at as someone who can grow the women’s game and push it forward. Much of the criticism from actual players in the WNBA came weeks ago. While Clark was making her national Championship game run, Diana Taurasi was singled out as being overly negative towards Clark. Criticism isn’t coming from other WNBA players. Rather, they are highlighting the already established stars and other strong rookies outside of Clark instead of making everything about a single player.

LeBron James recently came out in support of Caitlin Clark. He remarked upon the expectations on her shoulders. He gave her advice to try to get in first with the vets. She needs too listen when she needs t, and speak up when asked. Last night, during TNT’s coverage of the Western Conference Finals, Charles Barkley went on a rant about women being petty towards Caitlin Clark, coming to her defense. Many fans have noted that these figures haven’t gone this hard for other WNBA players like MVP Aja Wilson or phenomenal rookie Angel Reese. Even WNBA players have now responded to Chuck and LeBron.

Barkley said last night, “You women out there, y’all petty, man… Y’all should be thanking that girl [Clark] for getting y’all ass private charters.” Barkley continued, “All the money and visibility she’s bringing to the WNBA, don’t be petty like dudes. Listen, what she’s accomplished, give her her flowers.” He then echoed LeBrons james similar sentiments towards Clark and “pettiness.” Fans and those close to the WNBA have called out Sir Charles for being misguided. ESPN” ‘s Chiney Ogwumike, who covers the WNBA extensively, was adamant on Twitter, saying she doesn’t know a single player who isn’t grateful for the increased spotlight Caitlin Clark and her fellow rookies are bringing to the league.

This is a case of believing everything you see on social media. Charles is likely referring to people who are newcomers to the women’s game trying to score points and give their opinions on a subject they are new to. Why would WNBA players hate on finally flying private during the season? The Caitlin Clark story is a great one for the game, but people continue to take it to places it doesn’t need to go to instead of just enjoying the ride.

NBA News: TNT Loses NBA Rights, “Inside The NBA” Is Coming To An End

It is rumored that NBA executives plan to negotiate $7.4 billion annual broadcast deals with ESPN, NBC, and Amazon. Furthermore, this would be a serious setback for TNT. As talks go into the “final stage,” rumors state that the NBA is formalizing written contracts with each of the three corporations this week. Inside the NBA, fans who watch TNT are sure to be outraged by the news. The show, featuring Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Ernie Johnson as commentators, is reportedly set to end.

If these negotiations go through, the upcoming season of the program will be its last. There are currently rumors that Warner Bros. Discovery, the parent company of TNT, may file a lawsuit. The league’s most valuable series of games, which include the NBA Finals, a Conference Final, weekly primetime matchups, and the WNBA, are reportedly worth $2.8 billion to ESPN annually. NBC is expected to pay $2.6 billion a year for the “B” package. The package is expected to feature a program named Basketball Night in America that will run on Sunday nights following the NFL season. Additionally, the report says that NBC will guarantee two primetime spots each week, a conference semifinal and a conference final.

Inside The NBA Is Likely At It’s End

The WNBA, first-round playoff games, and the In-Season Tournaments would all be included in Amazon’s contract. Furthermore, their deal is reportedly valued at up to $2 billion. It is anticipated that the deal’s final details will be worked out throughout the coming week. Charles Barkley has said of TNT potentially losing the NBA, “Barkley was a little less certain, adding: ‘It’d be sad (if the show ended). We don’t know… I hope it does (continue). Not just for me and Kenny, Ernie, and Shaq, but for the real people who work there, it sucks right now to be stressful.”

Fans have been grieving the iconic show’s likely demise by posting clips of their favorite moments on social media. When TNT’s contract runs out next season, it will definitely be the end of an era. Overall, this is sad news for NBA fans. Ultimately, Inside The NBA will continue to cover the NBA throughout the next season, so fans should be sure to cherish the iconic show while it’s still on.

Charles Barkley Jokes About TNT Sadly Losing The NBA

Hoops fans should not expect to get any positive affirmations from Charles Barkley about the future of the NBA on TNT. Barkley predicted on Inside the NBA on Wednesday night that the Oklahoma City Thunder would easily defeat the Dallas Mavericks. Luka Dončić made light of Barkley’s prophecy following the Mavericks’ victory. He asked the Hall of Famer to make the same prediction prior to their upcoming matchup with Oklahoma City. Chuck’s predictions and guarantees almost always backfire on him, which causes a great deal of enjoyment for everyone else.

“Luka getting a firm grasp on what fans have thought for a while, Chuckster. If you root for the other team, then you might be in pretty good shape,” Ernie Johnson said jokingly to Chuck after listening to Dončić’s comment. “Well, at least you don’t have to worry about it much longer,” Barkley said, laughing. Barkley is implying that TNT won’t be able to match NBC’s deal, and Inside the NBA and NBA on TNT won’t be around much longer, unfortunately for hoops fans.

Charles Barkley Implies TNT Has Lost It’s NBA Bid

That suggests that Barkley doesn’t think Warner Bros. Discovery and the NBA will be able to come to an arrangement so that TNT will continue to air its slate of games. After the 2024–25 season, Warner Bros. Discovery/TNT’s existing NBA rights agreement will expire. At an offer of $2.5 billion annually, NBC is thought to be the front-runner in winning NBA rights. Negotiations are apparently stalled because the NBA wants WBD to bid $2.8 billion annually. Even though WBD is supposedly eager to match NBC’s offer.

Barkley recently lamented the situation and the environment it has caused on set. He said, “Everybody is scared to death” amid the negotiations. Barkley’s colleague Kenny Smith also made some bleak jokes about TNT’s future, saying, “Oh this might be our last day anyway.” Overall, it is going to be a sad day for hoop heads when Inside The NBA is no more. Fans are already grieving the show, posting their favorite moments from the show that feature Shaq, Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, and Kenny Smith.

Charles Barkley Could Become A Free Agent If TNT Loses The NBA

Amidst the potential of a new player in the NBA rights game, Charles Barkley has options. It has been reported that Comcast is reportedly putting up a $2.5 billion annual bid to get NBA rights from Warner Bros. Discovery’s TNT. Games would air on NBC and Peacock and no longer on TNT. Where does this potential deal leave Charles Barkley and his iconic crew from Inside The NBA? Barkley knows his options and has a lan if Turner Sports loses the NBA.

The potential loss of NBA rights could spell a significant change in the future of Shaq, Kenny Smith, Ernie Johnson, and Charles Barkley at TNT. In a recent appearance on The Dan Patrick Show, Barkley acknowledged the mounting stress as they await TNT’s decision, which is rumored to be imminent. For NBA fans, Inside the NBA is a staple. It’s the most engaging pre-game halftime and post-game show by a wide margin. Just reflect on all the memorable moments from the first round of this year’s playoffs.

Charles Barkley Has Options

It’s nerve-racking for everybody. It’s very stressful, but I don’t think anybody knows,” Barkley told Patrick. “I love TNT. I hope we keep it, but right now – I talked to Ernie last night, I think they’re gonna make a decision by the end of the day and I don’t think any of us know what that decision is gonna be…but it’s very stressful at work right now.” Barkley has the ability to leave TNT as a free agent if the network loses its NBA rights. Charles is not comforted by the fact that he might have to enter free agency.

It is looking more and more likely that Inside The NBA may not be around for much longer. At least in its current iteration. Being on TNT is one of the main factors the show is able to get away with everything they do. It’s more like a late-night talk show on HBO than a manicured sports show. NBA fans should cherish these last remaining playoff games Inside the NBA will cover. Overall, If the deal does go through, Charles Barkley and his crew had a hell of a run.

Charles Barkley Speaks On Michael Jordan’s Son Marcus Dating Larsa Pippen

Charles Barkley is busy covering the NBA playoffs, but he stopped by Shannon Sharpe’s podcast, Club Shay Shay. The podcast is a breeding ground for viral moments and social media discourse. Barkley was asked about his old friend Michael Jordan. Barkely used to be close to Micheal, but the two of them grew apart and never reconciled as friends. Sharpe asked Barkley about Jordan’s son Marcus Jordan dating MJ’s teammate Scottie Pippen’s ex-wife Larsa. All in all, it’s safe to say Chuck isn’t a fan of the whole situation.

Marcus Jordan and Larsa Pippen have been a celebrity couple for over a year. Earlier this year, it looked like the couple had split, but they have since rekindled their romance. Marcus and Larsa appeared together on the reality TV competition show Traitors, so they are clearly trying to get the most out of their relationship. Charles Barkley is not having it. Chuck explained how bad he felt for MJ and Scottie Pippen when Shannon Sharpe asked about the situation. The Hall of Famer and NBA personality is not one to mince words, and he didn’t hold back how he felt.

Charles Barkley “Feels Bad” For Michel Jordan and Scottie Pippen

Charles Barkley doesn’t approve of Jordan’s son and Pippen’s ex-wife being involved romantically. Especially following the fallout between Scottie and MJ. “I feel bad for Michael, I feel bad for Scottie,” Chuck said to Sharpe. “That is so messy. I don’t like messy because when it’s messy, everybody has an opinion on it. And you know, the internet is not a place for messy.” Chuck brought out the fact that children are involved, which complicates matters further since they might become the target of vicious individuals on the internet. He concluded, “I just hate messy and it’s just really messy. And there are no winners, there’s only losers.”

The Inside the NBA analyst went on to say that, in his opinion, MJ and Scottie’s friendship would never be the same. The fact that they shared six NBA titles and have beefed with each other is one thing. Add on the fact that Jordan’s son is dating Pippen’s ex-wife. Chuck told Shannon that winning a championship means you’re bonded for life. Barkley said, “If I had won six championships with somebody, I would think, ‘Man, we blood brothers for life.’” Ultimately, it seems like Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan are going to be a thing for a while.

Charles Barkley Roasts Draymond Green After Kenny Smith Diss

Inside the NBA is consistently the most entertaining basketball show on television. The chemistry between Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, Saq, and Ernie Johnson is endlessly entertaining. Throughout the last week of playoff games, Chuck and Shaq have been trying to beat Kenny Smith to the board. This has been recurring, and recently, Kenny has been getting beat in the foot race. On Monday, Kenny Smith was sweating more than usual, and NBA star and frequent Inside the NBA guest Draymond Green decided to throw some shade at The Jet.

Charles Barkley recently roasted the entire city of Galveston, Texas, when he said the Pelicans should be sent there for punishment. Barkley apologized to Tina Knowles, Beyonce’s mother, who is from Galveston, to ward off any beehive shenanigans. The latest roasting comes from Draymond Green, who made a joke on Twitter about Kenny Smith’s hairline or lack thereof. Charles didn’t let the comment slide, firing back a hilarious roast right back at Green.

Charles Barkley Says Green Should Come To Work Since He Has Nothing Better To Do

Kenny’s hairline has been much discussed. Sometime in the past few months, he showed up at the studio one day and had an outline of a hairline. Kenny was completely bald before that so many assumed he got some work done. Draymond decided to roast Smith on Twitter and called him Kenny Boozer. It is in reference to the hilarious pic of Carlos Boozer with sprayed-on hair from back in the day. The studio showed a pic of Boozer and everything, and Charles Barkley and the guys laughed out loud.

Then Charles Barkley clapped back in hilarious fashion. He told Draymond to come back to work because he’s “got nothing better to do,” since the Lakers didn’t even make the playoffs.  Draymond occasionally works for TNT, so Chuck is wondering where his colleague is at. If you want to joke with the Inside the NBA crew, you better show up for work, according to Chuck. Inside the NBA will be covering game 5 between the Philadelphia 76ers and the New York Knicks tonight. We will be looking forward to what ever hilarious moments come out of the iconic NBA show.

Galveston Responds To Charles Barkley After “Dirty Water” Joke

Charles Barkley is a national treasure. The Inside the NBA analyst and basketball legend constantly makes hilarious observations on the NBA show. The Hall of Famer recently joked during an appearance on the Inside the NBA broadcast that the New Orleans Pelicans should travel to Galveston, Texas, rather than Cancun over the summer. Chuck said that since they gave up on their series, they shouldn’t be allowed to go to Cancun and that they deserve the “dirty water” in Galveston. The comments went viral, with fans enjoying the joke and Galveston-related folk getting up and arms about the whole ordeal.

In his next appearance, Barkley apologized to one of Tina Knowles for disparaging her hometown. Tina said on Instagram, “Chuck we don’t play about Galveston Texas!” Tina said on Instagram. “You better watch it sucker! Our water might not be blue, but it is still the beach and we love it!”. After Chuck’s comments went viral, Galveston had to respond to the shade. Now, they have levied a response to the accusations from Sir Charles Barkley. The whole Galveston saga keeps getting funnier.

Kimberly Danesi, the CEO and spokesperson for Visit Galveston, responded to Charles Barkley’s comments with grace and appreciation. She expressed, “While Galveston might not be the place for Chuck, we’d be more than happy to host the New Orleans Pelicans and share our sun-kissed beaches, luxurious 4-diamond resorts, exclusive spas, million-dollar beach homes, world-class attractions, and exceptional gulf seafood.” Her words not only showcased Galveston’s offerings but also conveyed a sense of warmth and welcome.

The Pelicans are super available. They just got swept by the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday. Charles Barkley may respond tonight during the Knicks Sixers. Barkley is no stranger to beefing with cities. He still throws shots at San Antonio and has been for more than a decade. Overall, Barkley and the Inside the NBA Crew make the NBA playoffs so much better. Galveston is a nice place, whether it has dirty water or not. Charles Barkley just set his targets on the Pelicans and their woeful performance, and Galveston got caught in the crossfire.
