Although it is not the most popular Jordan sneaker out there, it is still widely considered as an iconic offering. It had a huge pop culture showing, and to this day, fans still adore it. There are some cool aesthetics to be found here, and who can forget those shark teeth on the midsole?

Throughout 2023 thus far, there have been quite a few dope Air Jordan 5 offerings. However, it seems like there are still some more left to come out. One of them is the Jordan 5 “Burgundy.” Of course, this is a retro of a colorway that we got back in the mid-2000s. Unfortunately, this model has been hit with some delays. The “Burgundy” Retro 5 features a nubuck upper and “light graphite” accents across the upper snitching. The sneaker’s silhouette is accented the the “metallic silver” tongue and Jordan heel logo. Overall, this is mostly because the sneaker celebrated a 30th birthday in 2020. Consequently, Jumpman wanted to come out with as many retros as humanly possible. Additionally, they made sure to drop a lot of dope new colorways as well. In the end, it was a great stretch for the sneaker, and it seems like the hype is continuing.

Although Jumpman isn’t treating the Air Jordan 5 like it is 2020 again, we are still seeing some solid teasers hit the market. Over these past couple of months, one shoe that people have been talking about is the Air Jordan 5 “Burgundy.” This is a sneaker that first came out back in 2006. It was an amazing shoe back then, and it is still great now. Subsequently, it is set to come back out in 2023, and now, product shots are hitting the internet. These latest ones come from JD Sports.

In the images above and below, you can clearly tell that this sneaker does a good job of living up to the OG. There are a lot of fans who were counting on Jumpman to deliver, and that is exactly what they did here. Firstly, the sneaker comes prepared in burgundy suede all throughout the upper. Secondly, more burgundy is found on the midsole, where a grey cement shark tooth is found. Additionally, we get a silver 3M tongue with the iconic burgundy Jumpman logo right in the middle. When you put it all together, you get a truly fantastic offering.
