The ‘Good Mourning’ Trailer Reveals A Star-Studded Cast, Featuring Machine Gun Kelly, Becky G, And More

On 4/20, multi-hyphenate Machine Gun Kelly revealed the trailer to his upcoming stoner comedy film, Good Mourning. Credited by his birth name Colson Baker, Good Mourning sees Kelly play an actor named London Clash.

One morning, London receives a text message from his girlfriend, Apple (Becky G), reading, “I wish I didn’t have to do this thru text,” then a follow-up message reading, “Good Mourning.” Assuming Apple is going to break up with him, London falls into a spiral. Joining him on his pot-fueled mission to get his girlfriend back are rapper Gata (of Dave fame), Pete Davidson, and Whitney Cummings. Kelly’s real-life fiancée Megan Fox also appears in the movie.

Good Mourning marks Kelly’s directorial debut, alongside fellow musician Mod Sun. Trippie Redd, Dove Cameron, Dennis Rodman, Tom Arnold, and Danny Trejo can be spotted throughout the trailer. Snoop Dogg also appears in the movie as an animated talking joint.

“We are looking forward to bringing this wild comedy to audiences in theaters and at home on demand. The film is a reminder of how fun movies can be to make and watch,” Open Road Films CEO Tom Ortenberg said in a statement. “Colson and this incredible cast will bring audiences to their knees in laughter and leave their jaws on the floor.”

Becky G Premieres A Seductive New Single, ‘No Mienten,’ And Announces Her New Album, ‘Esquemas’

Intoxicated minds speak sober hearts on Becky G‘s new single, “No Mienten.” Her latest follows her Karol G collaboration, “Mamiii,” and precedes her new album, Esquemas, out next month.

On “No Mienten,” Becky G croons for her lover over seductive guitar strings and thumping bongo drums. On the song’s chorus, she sings, “Puedes mentir de nuevo / Pero yo tengo claro lo que sientes / Anoche se te escapó un ‘te quiero’ / Y dicen que los borrachos no mienten,” which translates to “You can lie again / But I am clear on how you feel / Last night, an ‘I love you’ escaped from you / And they say drunks don’t lie.”

Becky wrote the song with Spread Lof, who has also collaborated with Rauw Alejandro and Sebastian Yatra, and producer Juacko, known for his work with Anuel AA, Ptazeta, and Karen Méndez.

Now a staple in Latin music, Becky G got her start making English pop singles, including 2014’s “Shower,” which got a second life in the form of a viral TikTok hit. In a recent interview with Flaunt, she admitted she felt “Shower” lacked identity.

“When it comes to my Spanish music,” she said, “I am a young, empowered woman, who has a lot to say, who hates double standards, who wants to challenge the machismo that exists within the Latinx culture, and the world. Who wants to own her sexuality, and wants to challenge people on all these things.”

Burna Boy And Becky G Team Up For An International Crossover With ‘Rotate’

As streaming breaks down the barriers of music globally, more and more artists have teamed up across genres and borders to create some truly fascinating combinations. Today we get a great example as Los Angeles-born reggaeton artist Becky G and Nigerian Afrofusion artist Burna Boy link up on “Rotate.” Built on a signature reggaeton beat, the song blends the two artists’ unique sounds, resulting in a scintillating track that could be a hit in Latin America, the Caribbean, and Africa, as well as the US, the melting pot where people from all cultures collide and collaborate.

Becky G, who began her musical career as a pop-oriented rapper before shifting to Spanish lyrics and South-of-the-border sounds, truly exploded in popularity after embracing Latin music. She’s also found success as an actress, appearing in the 2017 Power Rangers film as the yellow Ranger, and being featured in Riot Games’ League Of Legends in 2019 as part of the first virtual rap band. Meanwhile, Burna Boy accidentally blew up in the US after the coincidentally-titled “Ye” exposed him to fans searching for Kanye’s album with the same name. Since then, he’s become one of the primary representative’s of his home country’s music scene, receiving Grammy acknowledgement and seeing his second album Twice As Tall become a hit.
