One of the most iconic sneakers ever would have to be the Air Jordan 6. Overall, this is the shoe that helped Michael Jordan win his very first NBA title. Although it isn’t his most popular offering, it is definitely one of the most significant. Over the years, it has received so many great colorways, as well as a ton of retros that always seem to get some praise. If you love the AJ6, then you have absolutely been blessed. In 2023, that has continued, and it appears as though some great offerings are on the horizon.
We have reported on quite a few Air Jordan 6 teasers and leaks so far this year. Back in 2021, this shoe was celebrating its 30th anniversary. Subsequently, the party around this shoe has largely continued. For sneakerheads, this has been fantastic. This is especially true now that the Air Jordan 6 is gearing up to be released in an “Aqua” color scheme. Overall, this is an homage to the Air Jordan 8, and as you can see below, it looks fantastic.

“Aqua” Air Jordan 6
These new in-hand images come courtesy of none other than @kicksdong on Instagram. Firstly, you can see how the shoe is covered in black suede, much like the OG Air Jordan 8 of the same name. Secondly, the midsole is a mix of blue and purple, which is another reference to the AJ8. All of these elements come together quite nicely, and you will definitely be reminded of the 90s here.
For now, this shoe is rumored to be dropping on October 7th of this year, according to @zsneakerheadz. However, this is not an official date as Nike nor Jordan Brand has yet to reveal anything. Either way, this is shaping up to be another great release. Let us know what you think of this sneaker, in the comments section below.
