Air Jordan 2 “Wings” Revealed

One of the more underappreciated Air Jordan silhouettes would have to be the Air Jordan 2. Overall, this shoe was neglected for many years. However, it is experiencing a very nice resurgence right now, and for good reason. Although not everyone adores these, you can’t help but be intrigued by an underdog. In fact, this shoe was actually a favorite of Howard “H” White. White is the Vice President of Jordan Brand, and also founded “Believe To Achieve” for Nike. In fact, he was played by Chris Tucker in the movie “AIR.”

Well, it looks as though White is about to be honored through a new Air Jordan 2 colorway. Every single year, we get some amazing new “Wings” offerings. “Wings” is one of Michael Jordan’s many foundations, although this one centers on education. Needless to say, White is the perfect person to honor through this latest collection. Recently, we got the official images for this new “Wings” offering, and as you can see, it looks amazing.

In the images above and below, you can see what kind of vibe Jordan Brand is going for. The vast majority of the upper is covered in white leather. Subsequently, we get a black midsole with some green poking out near the back heel and outsole. Some wings are drawn on the sides, while “H” is written on the back heel and the insoles as a way to pay homage to White.

At the time of writing this, the shoe is rumored to be releasing on June 10th for $210 USD, according to Sneaker Bar Detroit. Overall, this is a very cool Air Jordan 2 that is definitely going to get a few looks. even if you dislike this silhouette, the “Wings” colorway might just be worth a look.
