Scar Lip recently signed to Epic Records, according to photos circulating online. One photo shows the rapper posing alongside a sign that reads, “Epic welcomes Scar Lip.” She now joins other artists on their roster like 21 Savage, Future, Travis Scott, and more. The young MC also joins Swizz Beatz on the lineup, who recently said he felt his mentee was “sent” to him by the late DMX.
“I honestly feel like DMX sent Scar Lip my way because she’s too much of his energy,” Swizz told The Breakfast Club. “Like I’ve never seen an artist that just naturally have what I know DMX have. And they two different artists, two different levels, yes. But I’m not talking about that. You know, like, that sister’s been through a lot, like Dog been through a lot.” He added, “she’s amazing and [has] a great heart the same way X had a great heart.”
