Draymond Green Doesn’t Care If You Support His LeBron Fandom

Draymond Green has taken some heat online recently in regard to his support of LeBron James. Many believe that Green’s praise of LeBron is just the Warriors star wanting to team up with James. Green has stated over and over that statement couldn’t be further from the truth. On a recent episode of The Draymond Green Show, Green discussed his thoughts on people teasing him for his appreciation of James. Green went as far as to say that his praise for James is pitting African Americans against one another. Comparing the situation to slavery.

In a direct quote from Green’s podcast, the former NBA Champion had this to say to the haters of his relationship with James. “I catch a lot of flak… for the way I ride for Bron. Me being f—g happy for Bron, that doesn’t dim Steph’s light… I always tell people that’s your losing a— mentality… I always compare it to slavery where they wanna turn us against each other.” Green has a strong belief that fans want to turn the athletes against one another. As LeBron has long been rivals with the Warriors due to the two playing in numerous NBA Finals.

Even if the two may be adversaries on the court, it seems they are friends in their personal lives. Long gone are the days of Michael Jordan not speaking to his rivals off the court. Green lets James have it when the two share the court. The duo has been known to even get a little heated with one another.
