In an interview on The Game Changing Attorney podcast, “48 Laws Of Power” author Robert Greene complimented 50 Cent. Greene shared his thoughts surrounding the attributes that have allowed the rapper to become successful. After the interview was posted, 50 Cent also responded to the author’s comments, claiming that Greene is “no joke.”
“When it comes to 50, there is something about him that’s different,” Greene began. He also claims, “There is an energy and I think the energy is his realistic outlook.” Adding “He’s not someone who wants to get high all the time and just live in this fantasy world and imagine having money.” He continued, “He’s extremely realistic when he looks at the world, and I think actually he got that from his mother, to be honest with you. His father was a drug dealer, a hustler, who was killed when he was I believe nine years old. She had that kind of hardcore mentality.”

Greene Cites 50 Cent’s Resilience As Key To His Success
Green went on, “But then he arrived at a key moment in his life after he got shot in the head and he had already made a record that he put together called Power of the Dollar. I think maybe his best record of all — an incredible record. And the second he got shot they canceled the album; it’s never been put out since.” “That was the moment where most people would be crushed … and at that turning point, he became extremely angry and energized and he decided he was gonna prove them wrong. And what he did was he went on this insane mixtape campaign where he went directly to the people,” Greene said.
50 Cent then took to Instagram, sharing the clip with his followers. His caption reads, “Robert Green is no joke. 48 Laws of POWER. Im sharp as a blade out here, watch me you’ll see.” Greene additionally worked with the rapper in 2009, when the two released a spinoff of “48 Laws of Power.” Their spinoff is titled “The 50th Law.” In a 2014 interview, 50 Cent also revealed that Greene gave him some invaluable advice when they worked together. 50 recalls Greene saying, “Everyone is not gonna be prepared to take the time to actually utilize the information that’s given to them.” Green told him to, “pay attention and you actually keep whatever information is coming in front of you.” Telling him, “then you choose what’s valuable.”
