Mulatto Continues To Throw Shade At Renni Rucci Using Nicki Minaj Verse

Late last week, Mulatto debuted her new “Beat Box” freestyle, rapping for almost a minute-straight about her star-studded feature history, her newfound success, and of course, light shots at other women rappers in the game. Fans specifically speculated the rapper was shading fellow female artist Renni Rucci, namely when she spit “…and ain’t nothing big about y’all h*es! So if the b*tch name ain’t Latto, don’t put ‘Big’ in front of it. Straight up.” They’ve since been taking shots at each other on their respective social media channels, with Mulatto using a Nicki Minaj verse to taunt the Rucci.

Amid the beef, the “Muwop” artist shared a clip in her Instagram story of Nicki Minaj’s memorable verse on the remix of YG’s 2014 track “My N*gga.” “Drop a freestyle and get a rise out of bitches,” raps Nicki on the track. Rucci, whose current name on Instagram and Twitter is “The Biggest,” had back at the rapper for the suspected shade in the freestyle.

Rucci had previously express she had no interest in hopping in beef with Latto, commenting, “if it ain’t directed it ain’t respected. lil mama popping it tho.” It seemed she may have had a change of heart because she later took to Twitter to express her dissatisfaction with the bar.

“My social media names BEEN this we all rappers so let us rap watch out,” penned Rucci on her Twitter. Many questioned why Rucci had responded if the shade wasn’t “directed,” as she had previously commented.

Right now, it’s hard to tell whether or not this beef will continue on, but right now it seems like both sides are playing it safe. We’ll keep you updated on the beef.

Shakewell Drops Off “5 Ways”

Don’t let the often absurd visuals distract you from the fact that Shakewell can really rap his ass off. The San Fernando Valley rapper has been rumbling through the underground with projects like Big Juice Tha Sip and Key Stone Prince. Even though it’s been a few years since his last solo project, he’s proven just how consistent he is with each and every release. This week, he emerged with a trunk-rattling banger titled, “5 Ways.” The grungy, guitar-laden production drives the track as Shakewell’s clean flow details the several methods he might use to run down the opps, whoever that may be. It was also released with a new visual, directed & edited by Dan Streit.

Peep the latest offering from Shakewell below and sound off with your thoughts in the comments.

Jennifer Lopez & Alex Rodriguez Comment On Breakup Rumors

Friday was a wild day for the rumor mill as reports began to surface suggesting that Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez were breaking up. The two have been engaged for a while now although as of late, there have been rumblings that A-Rod was having an affair. So far, all of those accusations have been denied and even yesterday, new reports suggested that the two weren’t breaking up, after all.

Yesterday, TMZ caught up with A-Rod as he was entering a gym and that’s when he said “I’m not single” which should have been everyone’s first clue. Now, J-Lo is speaking out on the situation with a brand new Instagram post in which she flashes pictures of herself, as well as some of the recent headlines. At the end of the video, Lopez simply says “dumb” which is yet another hint that the two are doing just fine.

Sources close to the two noted that on Friday, the relationship was in a very bad place and that’s why the rumors initially surfaced. Now, however, it would appear as though the two want to get back on track and figure things out. Upon learning this, we’re sure Jose Canseco is going to be upset.

New details continue to emerge, so stay tuned as we will be sure to bring you all of the latest updates. For now, however, you might want to hold off on that DM you’ve been meaning to send either of these two.

Lil Eazzyy Links Up With IV Jay On Enticing New Single “Yes Or No”

Lil Eazzyy has been making waves out of Chicago and fans are beginning to get invested in what he’s bringing to the table. His status keeps increasing and with this in mind, he has been able to attract features from those outside of rap. For instance, Lil Eazzyy recently linked up with IV Jay for a smooth new track called “Yes Or No.”

With this new song, we get a dope laid-back instrumental that is filled with nice guitar loops. From there, Lil Eazzyy drops off some bars about trying to woo a woman which is then followed up with a chorus from IV Jay. It is here that she asks the rapper if he’s going to be the one for her, hence the question of “Yes Or No.” Lil Eazzyy continues by reassuring IV Jay of his intentions, and it’s clear the two have some musical chemistry.

Let us know what you think of the track, in the comments below.

Quotable Lyrics:

Take a ride in the whip, keeping you next to me
Sit back, smokin’ strong while we vibe in the seats
Yeah, she coming strong and she really for me
I don’t know ’bout now, but she be givin’ me peace

Kid Cudi Says He’s ‘Pissed And Heartbroken’ That He Was Unable To Collaborate With Juice WRLD Before His Death

More than two years ago, Juice WRLD requested a collaboration with Kid Cudi through a post he shared on Twitter. That tweet arrived months before his breakout hit “Lucid Dreams.” Unfortunately for him, he would never get to work with Cudi as Juice tragically passed away in December 2019 from a seizure that occurred while he was at Chicago’s Midway International Airport.

During a recent interaction with fans on Twitter, the Man On The Moon III rapper expressed his frustration with being unable to work with both Juice WRLD and late Florida rapper XXXTentacion.

“Im really am pissed and heartbroken I never got to link w these guys,” he said. “X and Juice were real ones. Loved what they brought to the game. It was beautiful to witness.”

The tweet came in response to a fan who commended Cudi for embracing “the fallen legends.” He also revealed that a posthumous collaboration with Juice, entitled “Good Times,” exists, but issues with clearing the song have halted its release.

“Who knows man they holdin that song hostage for a check,” Cudi revealed. “I feel like if Juice was alive it woulda been came out. I really dont know.”

All in all, Cudi promised to be more open to working with new artists. “Im no longer gonna be afraid of connecting w cats,” he said. “I always felt like I wouldnt be able to live up to the love. I was always scared. But not anymore.”

Cudi’s tweets come nearly a year after he reminisced about meeting Juice WRLD for the first time at the 2019 Coachella festival.

Lil Reese Denounces Kanye West Over “Don’t Like” Remix

The sounds of drill have spread across the world but it was in Chicago where this distinct sound emerged from. Artists like Chief Keef and Lil Durk propelled the genre into mainstream consciousness, beginning with the release of “Don’t Like” ft. Lil Reese. The single could be considered one of the most important songs of the past decade but it was Kanye West’s stamp of approval on the record that helped bring drill music to new heights.

Sure, the G.O.O.D Music remix of “Don’t Like” slaps but it certainly doesn’t go as hard as the original. The rawness of the record, as well as its accompanying visual, resonated behind O-Block and into pockets of the world that felt heard through Keef’s music. A fan tweeted to him that the OG version of the record is superior to its remix. “THE OG IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE KANYE VERSION FUCK KANYE FOR TAKING LIL REESE OUT,” the fan wrote. Reese seems to agree on the matter, though he isn’t entirely upset about his removal from the record. “Yea fuck him but I still get paid off it so I’m not mad,” he replied.

Kanye still seems to be in good standing among Chicago’s drill artists including Chief Keef, and Lil Durk, who he recently praised for re-creating some of his iconic looks for the “Kanye Krazy” music video. Maybe we can expect Kanye to enlists Reese on some new music in the future.

Lebron James’ Daughter Zhuri Does Impressive Choreography To Cardi B’s “Up”

Lebron James seems to be a family man, sharing tons of proud father posts on his social media channels while documenting his kids as they grow up. Most recently, the 36-year-old basketball star proudly showed off his 6-year-old daughter Zhuri James’ impressive dance skills in a joyful Instagram post on Saturday (March 13).

In the video shared by James, Zhuri looks like a professional as she flawlessly executed a choreography to Cardi B’s latest hit “Up.” She performed the dance alongside her dance instructor, but from the looks of it, the youngster didn’t need much instruction.

Lebron explained in the caption that the dance lesson had just concluded when Zhuri got to decide which song she wanted to freestyle to, going with the popular TikTok single “Up.” “Yeah it’s officially over for me guys!! I feel bad for whomever my Baby Z decides to bring home first!” wrote the pro-baller in the caption.

He continued, “Look at my mama face getting it in with her dance instructor/teacher Ms. @candice. After they end their scheduled routined session she allows a freestyle and Zhuri pick that song. She would!” before mentioning Zhuri’s parent-run Instagram page in the caption.

Cardi herself came across the video as well, sending love over to the family’s way. “Yes we all see cuteness gut bayybee I see a future superstar. Sooo adorable! I’m maaa hype lols,” wrote the rapper.

From the looks of it, talent clearly runs deep in the James family.

Master P Gives His Top 5 Rapper Basketball Players

Master P is a legend in the hip-hop world but he is also known for being the only rapper to ever get a contract with an NBA team. Back in the day, Master P actually got to try out with the Toronto Raptors and even played in a preseason game. While his NBA career didn’t last long, his efforts in Toronto will always be considered legendary by other rappers who have hoop dreams of their own.

Recently, Master P linked up with Shannon Sharpe for an episode of the latter’s podcast, Club Shay Shay. During the podcast, Master P was asked who his top five rapper basketball players are. Of course, Sharpe wanted him to draw from a contemporary pool and Master P paid homage to some well-known talent.

At number one on the list, Master P selected J. Cole which is no surprise given Cole’s talents. From there, the list consisted of 2 Chainz, Quavo, The Game, and Romeo Miller. All of these artists have touted their own basketball skills and it’s been said numerous times that these guys are great athletes.

While we’re sure there will be quite a bit of debate over Master P’s picks, it’s hard to argue with a man who has been to the highest levels of both fields. Regardless, give us your top five rapper hoopers, in the comments below.

Cardi B, Bobby Shmurda & More Show Support For #FreeHaiti

Tension in Haiti reached a new height on Friday after months of protests calling for the resignation of the current president Jovenel Moise. On Friday, four police officers and several others were injured during an anti-gang gone wrong in the gang-controlled neighborhood of Village de Dieu that became notorious for harboring kidnapping victims and abusing them. Video of the botched operation emerged online, including footage of the killers dragging and beating the bodies of two officers. Reports claim that the gunfire from the murders of the police officers was heard throughout Port-Au-Prince.

The protests have been going on for weeks but the increase of high-crime, including gang warfare and kidnappings, have prompted celebrities in the United States to show their support. Bobby Shmurda and Cardi B were among those to share #FreeHaiti tweets. Tory Lanez called out President Jovenl Moise, writing, “What the fuck are you on?! #FreeHaiti. My son is haitian. give him something to look forward to not look back on.”

Karen Civil also shared resources for people to understand the current situation in Haiti, writing, “The current devastation happening in Haiti is not only unjust but inhumane. For centuries my people have been knocked down and persecuted unlawfully and it stops now. We cannot stand by and allow this to happen to yet another black nation. For once we must #FreeHaiti.”

Keep the people of Haiti in your thoughts.
