Internet Money Reunites With Don Toliver And Gunna On ‘His & Hers’ Featuring Lil Uzi Vert

Last year, hit-making production duo Internet Money shut down the summertime with their single “Lemonade” featuring Don Toliver, Gunna, and Nav, proving their penchant for tapping directly into the pleasure centers of audiences’ brains. Today, nine months after their alchemical formula made them a household name, they’ve reunited with their superstar partners Don Toliver and Gunna on “His & Hers,” swapping out Nav for Lil Uzi Vert for another mathematical colalboration poised to take over the Hot 100 chart.

Internet Money’s Taz Taylor has been hyping the track for weeks and spent most of the day tweeting out tidbits of information about the track’s production and development. He says it took over 10 months to complete, that he changed the tempo of the track because historically songs have done better at a higher rate of BPMs than it was originally recorded, and that he credited every person who had a hand in its creation, no matter their contribution.

Meanwhile, all three featured artists are poised for a huge year as well. After they all dropped well-received albums in 2020, they have each teased new material to come. Don Toliver started the rollout for his second album with “What You Need,” Gunna made multiple appearances on YSL’s Slime Language 2 compilation, and Lil Uzi Vert promised his new album would come “soon,” contributing features to Bebe Rexha and Justin Bieber.

Skrillex Drops His Second New Single Of The Week, ‘Too Bizarre’ Featuring Swae Lee And Siiickbrain

Earlier this week Skrillex dropped his first new music since 2019, “Butterflies” featuring the almighty Starrah and fellow electronic producer Four Tet. The glitchy, house track was full of glittery vocals from Starrah, and seemed to fit firmly back into the electronic lane, even if the artist born Sonny Moore revamped his old emo project a few years ago, that didn’t seem to be the direction he was going in this year.

Except, wait, maybe it is? On the second new single of the week, “Too Bizarre,” Moore is joined by Swae Lee of Rae Sremmurd and Siiickbrain, an upcoming songwriter, on a track that’s immediately guitar heavy, and a video that kicks off with Sonny grabbing the guitar himself to kick off a basement show. It’s very likely now that we’re going to be getting a whole new record from Skrillex with two new songs and lots of other big names involved. Of the two tracks, this one is the obvious frontrunner, combining Swae’s rap-singing and Siiickbrain’s screaming interlude into one epic piece of chaos. So check out his new punk-rap-leaning song above and keep your ear to the ground for more info on whatever Moore has coming next. Maybe there’s an emo collab coming, too.

Coi Leray Goes On A Skate Date With DDG And OG Parker In Their Slick ‘Impatient’ Video

Two emerging talents join forces in the skating rink-set video for DDG and OG Parker’s “Impatient” video, as the rapper-producer team links up with “No More Parties” viral virtuoso Coi Leray for a slick, nostalgic clip that brings to mind the roller resurgence of the mid-2000s. Shot by Reel Goats, the video opens on a sweeping shot of the roller rink exterior straight out of ATL, as young people gather and socialize outside before heading inside for some blacklight-washed laps around the rink.

Coi Leray plays an attention-grabbing newcomer who joins DDG on the parquet for a couple’s skate as they perform their respective verses. They also shoot a dance video off the skate floor, turning the video into a quasi-TikTok post and setting the song up for potential viral hit status, should the dance catch on.

Both artists know a bit about that: Coi’s last two big singles started out as favorites on the youth-focused app; while “No More Parties” brought her mainstream acclaim, the Pooh Shiesty-featuring “Big Purr” turned its title into a social media catchphrase. Additionally, Coi co-stars in the video for another TikTok hit, Mooski’s “Track Star.” Meanwhile, DDG’s “Moonwalking In Calabasas” likewise backs a number of videos while racking up millions of views in various incarnations on YouTube.

J. Cole Reveals “The Off-Season” Tracklist & Producers

It’s time. J. Cole’s The Off-Season arrives at midnight, heralded by an incendiary L.A. Leakers freestyles and a pair of pre-release singles. Hours ahead of the big release, Cole took to Instagram to unveil the official tracklist, which features twelve tracks and (unsurprisingly) no features. At least none that we know of, though it wouldn’t be surprising to see Cole carry on the tradition in that regard.

Of the twelve songs, fans have already seen “i n t e r l u d e” and “the climb back,” the latter of which released all the way back in July of 2020. The project is executive produced by J. Cole, Ibrahim Hamad, and T-Minus, who is among the many producers contributing to Cole’s cause. On that note, J. Cole also happened to share the fourteen producers involved in the beat-making — Timbaland, Boi-1da, DJ Dahi, Jake One, Frank Dukes, Tae Beast, Maneesh, Wa1o, Sucuki, Coleman, Tommy Parker, Mario Luciano, T-Minus, and himself.

As it stands, The Off-Season, the first of three J. Cole pre-retirement releases, is among the year’s biggest drops. Based on everything we’ve heard, be it from Cole’s labelmates (Cozz and Bas declared it to be among his best work) or the man himself (who recently teased that his confidence was at an all-time high), he’s at the top of his game. It should be interesting to see how the early reactions unfold, and it should make for one of hip-hop’s most exciting nights so far.

Check out the tracklist and production credits below, and be sure to sound off in the comments with your expectations for The Off-Season.

Pretty Ricky’s Baby Blue Set To Plead Guilty In Covid Relief Fraud Case: Report

Just a few weeks removed from being shot and fighting for his life, Pretty Ricky’s Diamond “Baby Blue” Smith is getting ready to plead guilty in the federal COVID-19 relief fraud case against him.

According to a report from VladTV, who obtained court records, the Love and Hip Hop Miami star will appear before U.S. District Judge Marcia Cooke on June 9th to plead guilty to at least one federal offense. Neither Baby Blue’s attorney nor federal prosecutors have publicly revealed what sentences they will ask Cooke to hand down.

No plea deal has been announced, but it is typical in federal cases for defendants to plead guilty without a deal, with the agreement that prosecutors will limit their sentence request. Baby Blue was charged with conspiracy to commit fraud, which carries five years in federal prison.

These charges all stem from allegations that Baby Blue filed fraudulent PPP loan applications and used the money for luxury items like a 2010 black Ferrari 458 Italia, which he allegedly listed as the company car for one of his businesses. Federal prosecutors have moved to seize the Ferrari and other assets allegedly acquired from fraudulent loans.

We’ll continue to keep you posted moving forward.

Charlyne Yi Gives “Sexual Predator Enabler” Seth Rogen A Checklist To Make Amends

Actor James Franco won a 2018 Best Actor Golden Globe Award for his performance in The Disaster Artist. If his unsavory on- and off-set behavior throughout filming had been revealed at the time, it’s likely the actor would not have been nominated for the award in the first place. In April 2020, his The Disaster Artist co-star Charlyne Yi came forward on Instagram, revealing her experience of being bribed with a larger role in the film after saying she did not want to work with Franco, who has a history of sexual misconduct– something she brought to the producers attention at the time.

She not only called out Franco for his behavior, but also actor Seth Rogen, who “was one of the producers on this film so he definitely knows about the bribe and why I quit,” according to her original Instagram post (below).

Franco and Rogen’s friendship and work relationship dates all the way back to 2008, as they both starred in Pineapple Express. The duo have also starred in many other hit films together including Sausage Party (2016)and the controversial 2014 film The Interview. Franco was eventually included in Rogen’s group of favorite friend-actors to cast in his projects, such as The Night Before (2015).

Back in 2014, when Franco was exposed for inviting an underage girl to his hotel room, Rogen made a joke out of the situation on SNL. Now that Rogen himself is directly under fire, he is completely flipping the script. He finally responded to Yi’s April claims in an interview with The Sunday Times stating that he has no plans to work with Franco in the future.

Yi has quickly clapped back with a checklist for Rogen to truly redeem himself and demonstrate he is done supporting abusers. Continuing to use Instagram as her platform for activism, Yi listed out her expectations with grand detail.

The post includes three slides of instructions; the first stating:

“Apologize to survivors for making their lives even more vulnerable by publicly siding with an abuser, further damaging their careers and safety; commit to educating self about coercion, sexual assault, and how to be a protective ally; promote protecting and hiring survivors.”

The second slide in her Instagram post, explains the implications of Rogen’s actions: “two rich white male celebrities publicly teaming up sends thousands of fans to attack & threaten the survivors physically and psychologically.”

The third slide provides a list of women for Rogen to apologize to, including, “Sarah Tither-Kaplan, Violet Paley, Hilary Dusome, Natalie Chimel, Katie Ryan, Lucy Clode, and all the unnamed people who have anonymously shared or been too afraid to.”

Take a look at Charlyne’s post. Do you think Rogen will meet these demands? Comment below.

Jim Jones Challenges Russ & Gillie Da Kid In 1-on-1 Basketball: “Kill Both Of Y’all”

It looks like Jim Jones wants some smoke on the basketball court, or at the very least he’s running his mouth with a couple of rapper-hoopers. Earlier today, Philly native & Million Dollaz Worth Of Game podcast host Gillie Da Kid, shared a video of him and rapper Russ going head to head in a 1-on-1 basketball game, and in the comments was Capo himself looking for some action. In fact, Jones said he would kill both of them even “wit a bad shoulder.”

“Kill both of y’all wit a bad shoulder u takin advantage of Russ,” Jimmy said to Gillie in the comments.

Now who knows how serious Capo was when it comes to this threat and challenge, but we do know Gillie is nice with the rock. Hell, according to Russ, Gillie whooped him 8-2 over a course of ten games. “Gillie whooped me like 8-2 lmao idk how you in that crazy of shape smh show my floater tho,” the rapper added.
