50 Cent Responds To Roger Stone After Being Accused Of Cheating Big Meech

The lines between politics and Hip Hop continue to be blurred as former Trump advisor Roger Stone has come forward to call out 50 Cent. Yesterday (June 14), we reported on the news that Black Mafia Family co-founder Big Meech scored a victory in his case. According to reports, Meech was able to get three years shaved off of his 30-year sentence, meaning that the accused drug trafficker and Rap industry icon could be home as early as 2028.

50 Cent has been slowly sharing information regarding his BMF series on Starz that’s still in development, and upon hearing the news about Meech, Fif took to Instagram to celebrate. “YES [grin emoji] Now you know this BMF show is gonna [bomb emoji][smoke emoji]Blow everything off the f*cking TV, the real sh*t different ! [stoplight emoji] Green Light Gang.”

However, Roger Stone called out 50 Cent in a brief video and mentioned Fif’s alleged money moves with Meech. “50 Cent, I got a beef with you,” said Stone. “You’re crowing about Big Meech getting a lousy three years knocked off his sentence? The fact is his co-conspirators, his brother and another man who has the exact same sentence have already been sprung.”

“You ripped Big Meech off,” he continued. “You got $150 million from Starz to make a movie about his life and you paid him sh*t for his life rights. You’re full of sh*t. Free Big Meech, now.” Fif quickly responded to the accusation by resharing Stone’s video to his Instagram.

“People just looking for attention, clout chasing c*ck suckers come in all different colors shapes and sizes these days,” said 50 Cent. He closed out his caption by promising the BMF is coming soon. Check out this 2021 curveball below.

Pretty Ricky’s Spectacular Laments The “Industry Never Gave Us Our Flowers”

Are people sleeping on Pretty Ricky’s legacy? There have been several conversations regarding Mt. Rushmore’s, greatest of all time lists, and who-should-face-off-with-whom on Verzuz, and Spectacular believes that his group deserves more respect. The Miami R&B-Hip Hop group burst onto the scene in the early 2000s with their classic hit “Grind With Me,” later making waves with other favorites including “Your Body” and “On The Hotline.”

They even stormed the Millennium Tour stages back in 2019 alongside artists like B2K, Mario, the Ying Yang Twins, and Lloyd. While fans haven’t ceased in expressing love for Pretty Ricky, Spectacular took to Instagram to get a few things off of his chest. “The industry never gave us our flowers,” he began.

“We were the first to do a whole r&b and rap album,” wrote Spectacular. “We were the first to have three rappers and one singer in a group. We were the first to formate a song with rapping verses, singing hooks with multiple rappers. We were the first to make it cool for guys to eat the box. We were the first to make a girl take their granny panties off and put a thong on. We were the first to put 808 bass on every record. We were the first group to have a #1 album on the r&b and rap charts at the same time for five consecutive weeks. We were the first to make it cool to grind on each other.”

He listed off other arguable firsts, including playing their catalog from front to back without skipping and making lanes for sex-oriented music. “We were the first group that helps you get popping in the bedroom. We were the first group that had you grinding on each other on the floor, chairs, walls, and dance floors at parties and clubs,” he added. “We made it cool to be sexy and express yourself sexually. We got banned from radio stations because our lyrics were too dirty, we paved the way for all new artists making sexual music.”

Regardless of the lack of flowers that Spectacular believes they deserve, he claimed that the group knows their impact. “I haven’t seen another band come close to us yet, respectfully.” Do you agree with Spectacular? Check out his post in full below.

Queen Latifah Tapped For Lifetime Achievement Award At 2021 BET Awards

Pioneering the game decades ago for many of today’s hottest female MCs and entertainment personalities, Queen Latifah will be recognized and celebrated at the 2021 BET Awards. She is set to receive the show’s Lifetime Achievement Award for her contributions to Black music and pop culture.

As part of the show’s “Year of the Black Woman” theme, actress Taraji P. Henson will serve as its host, which is fitting as the pair have crossed paths multiple times throughout their careers. For Queen Latifah, who began her entertainment career as a rapper on her 1989 debut All Hail the Queen, she continues to bolster her hall-of-fame-level career as an actress, currently leading CBS’ crime drama The Equalizer. She’s had a long run in front of the camera, starring in FOX’s Living Single in the 90s and earning a Best Supporting Actress nod at the 2002 Academy Awards for her role in Chicago.

On the music side, she has sold more than two million records across her seven studio albums, carried by the strength of her gold-selling Black Reign record in 1993. Songs like “U.N.I.T.Y.” capture Latifah’s magnetic presence behind the mic, and while her music career seems to have been put on hold in favor of her acting efforts, she’s among some of the first Black entertainers to prove that their entertainment ability spans across different mediums.

And Latifah has been recognized as such throughout her career, winning a Grammy award for “U.N.I.T.Y.,” an Emmy award for her HBO film Bessie, a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild award for her role in Life Support, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, along with countless other honors. The BET Lifetime Achievement award only adds to Latifah’s impressive and long-form resume of accomplishments within the entertainment industry.

Leona Lewis Calls Out Michael Costello After He Accused Chrissy Teigen Of Bullying

Chrissy Teigen made her return to social media after a weeks-long hiatus due to her Courtney Stodden bullying scandal, but that didn’t stop a fashion designer from kicking her while she was down. Project Runway alum Michael Costello claimed that Teigen bullied him after a racist post said to have been from him went viral. He came forward to say that it was fake, even DMing her to clear the air, but she reportedly told him “racist people like you deserve to suffer and die.”

He alleged that the remarks caused him to be suicidal and Teigen had him blacklisted, however, a Black designer named Maxie J shared her story, claiming that Costello called her a “Black n*gger b*tch.” Additionally, singer Leona Lewis took to Instagram to share her encounter with Costello, saying that he humiliated her back in 2014 at a show.

After sharing that she’s “dealt with years of insecurity” from Costello and his team, Lewis said it was time for her to come forward. She participated in a fashion show for charity and Costello was assigned to be her designer. She was a fan of his work but while be fitted, the singer said, “I was made to feel very awkward and uncomfortable as the dress was a sample size and he/his team clearly did not want to alter it to fit me.”

“At the next fitting, the night before the show, with no explanation at all, Michael refused to turn up,” she added. “He no longer wanted to dress me and he abandoned his commitments to me and the show,” adding, “I was so embarrassed and deeply hurt. Because I didn’t look like a model size, I was not permitted to walk in his dress.” She said she sat in the audience and handled press questions about why she wasn’t participating.

Costello refuted her claims, telling TMZ that he’s a fan of Lewis’s and he’s reached out to her. As that has been brewing, makeup artist Jordan Liberty has also come forward to speak up against Costello, accusing the designer of sexual harassment. Check out a few posts below.

Daughter Of Cartel Kingpin Sentenced To 30 Months

As the Jalisco New Generation cartel continues to exhibit immense force and control over Mexican neighborhoods by targeting police officers, the U.S. Government is one step closer to taking down the drug cartel.

The alleged kingpin’s daughter will now spend two and a half years in an American prison. 34-year-old Jessica Johanna Oseguera Gonzalez, daughter of believed head honcho Nemesio Oseguera, was sentenced last week after pleading guilty to charges in March.

The dual Mexican-American citizen was convicted of running a number of businesses in America that funneled money back into the drug trade her family operates.

According to the Department of Justice, Gonzalez was arrested under the Kingpin Act, which allows the U.S. Government to identify and charge companies for providing money to drug traffickers. She was arrested last year while on her way to the trial of her brother, who faces at least 15 years for weapons and conspiracy charges related to the cartel. He has pleaded not guilty.

The United States government remains determined to track down her father Nemesio, though he is still on the run, according to ABC News. There is a $10 million reward for information leading to his arrest, one of the largest sums ever put up by the government.

Though the influence of the organization continues to grow, the U.S. government is celebrating these small victories.

Vince Wilfork’s Son Arrested, Allegedly Stole & Sold NFL Star’s Super Bowl Rings: Report

His NFL career spanned from 2004 to 2016 and he’s considered to be one of the greatest defensive tackles to have ever played, but Vince Wilfork’s latest opponent may be his own son. Sports stars often have to keep their security tight as they have fallen victim to thieves who sell their memorabilia for a profit, but according to multiple reports, Wilfork’s son D’Aundre Holmes-Wilfork has been arrested for stealing a few of his precious items from his career.

According to Galveston County Daily News, D’Aundre was arrested back on May 22, just weeks after his father called authorities to report several missing items that included jewelry, two AFC championship rings, a championship ring from his days with the Miami Hurricanes, and two Super Bowl rings he received while playing for the New England Patriots.

Wilfork initially realized that the items were missing while he was reportedly packing up his Friendswood, Texas home for a move back in May 2020. He couldn’t recall if the jewelry was in storage or someplace else, so he didn’t immediately report the items missing. However, earlier this year, a Patriots fan contacted Wilfork to tell him that they came across the rings on a memorabilia website where a person claimed they purchased the items.

The person in possession of the rings later told authorities that they gave D’Aundre $62,000 for the sports jewelry and later turned over the items to the Friendswood Police Department. D’Aundre Homles-Wilfork was arrested and held on a $300K bond, but it’s reported that he’s since been released.

Amorphous Was Brought To Tears After Meeting Brandy And James Fauntleroy During A Studio Session

Amorphous is having a huge year. After years of sharing DJ mash-ups of popular tracks from the present and the past, the viral producer is seeing his career take off, working with some of the industry’s biggest names. His latest big moment came during a studio session with Brandy and James Fauntleroy. The latter greeted the prospering producer at the door, but it seems to be his introduction to Brandy that moved him the most.

This big moment came not long after Amorphous joined forces with Kehlani for their first-ever collaboration “Back Together.” The track is a summer-ready anthem that speaks about refusing to commit to past lovers. He also spoke about recording the track with the singer during an interview with Uproxx. “I was super nervous going in,” he said. “I mean, it’s Kehlani, it’s my first major studio session. I’ve obviously been in the studio by myself and with friends. But to be working with a major recording artist, I felt a lot of pressure.”

Prior to that, Amorphous provided the production for Fat Joe and Diddy’s “Sunshine (The Light),” which sampled Rihanna’s “Kiss It Better” and “Luther Vandross’ “Never Too Much.”

Kehlani is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Former WNBA Star Shoni Schimmel Arrested On Charges Of Domestic Abuse, Harassment: Report

She was once at the top of her game in the WNBA, but reports state that Shoni Schimmel was recently in trouble with the law. Back in 2014, Schimmel was bestowed All-Star Game MVP, but ESPN shared that she was taken into custody on Monday (June 14) after allegedly being involved in a violent altercation.

While details regarding what happened are scarce, it was reported that the former WNBA superstar was hit for several charges after being booked in an Oregon jail around 1:00 a.m.

Multiple reports state that the 29-year-old sports star caught a few felonies including assault and criminal mischief, and a handful of misdemeanors including recklessly endangering another, domestic abuse, menacing, and harassment. It’s unclear who the other person or persons involved in the case may have been.

Schimmel reportedly grew up in Oregon on the Umatilla Reservation and was ever featured in the Off The Rez documentary where she spoke openly about her upbringing and journey to professional basketball. Her career has been up in the air since she sustained a concussion 17 games in with the New York Liberty in 2016.

ESPN also reported that in 2017, Schimmel sat out “for personal reasons” before returning to her New York team the following year. Then, she went to the Las Vegas Aces where she is said to have played two games prior to the team releasing her. What she’s been up to since that time is unclear, as is her future in the WNBA.
