Meek Mill Locks In The Studio With Bobby Shmurda & Takeoff

Meek Mill’s recent freestyles has been a promising indication of where he’s going with his next album. It’s been nearly three years since the release of Championships, his first project after his last bid in prison. The anticipation was high, and Meek certainly delivered on expectations. However, he’s been hinting at its follow-up for a few years now without dropping a heap of music.

Last month, the rapper returned with his latest drop, “Flamers Flow” and its video which included a cameo from Bobby Shmurda. Given their mutual affinity for Jahlil Beats’ production, it seems inevitable that they’d be locking in the studio.

Earlier today, Meek hit the ‘Gram with a brand new clip of a recent studio session he had where Bobby Shmurda and his fellow Shmigo compadre, Takeoff, were in attendance. While the production wasn’t handled by Jahlil Beats, DJ Durel slid through with a massive stadium-ready beat for Meek and Bobby to rip through.

The recently slew of releases from Meek seems to be a promising sign that a new album is on the way. Ross recently revealed that the entire MMG family is putting in work towards their forthcoming studio albums including his two star pupils. “Everybody’s cooking up right now. Everybody in the studio is working on their projects—Meek, Wale,” Ross told Complex News.

New Jersey Waitress Kidnapped By Customers Over Unpaid Bill

There’s a search underway for a group of individuals responsible for the kidnapping of a young waitress in New Jersey. According to ABC News, the waitress was allegedly kidnapped and assaulted after chasing down a group of people who attempted to dine and dash. Police said that the incident took place on Saturday, June 19th at Nifty Fifty’s in Washington Township, New Jersey.

The 20-year-old waitress served a group of five people who had allegedly tried to walk out on a $70 bill. The police said that she was abducted for a short time after following the group and put in a Dodge Durango.

“They pulled her into the vehicle and assaulted her inside the vehicle,” Washington Township Police Chief Patrick Gurcsik said. “The vehicle headed north on Route 42, made a U-turn and was heading south towards Monroe Township, and pushed her out of the vehicle.”

The woman was able to run back to the Nifty Fifty’s where she called the police. She was later taken to a hospital where she was able to get treated for the number of bruises she suffered and a potential concussion. She has since been released.

Gurcsik urged employees at any company to refrain from chasing suspects. Instead, he said to take down their license plate and call the police.

The suspects are still at large.

Eli Manning’s Number To Be Retired By The Giants

While Eli Manning certainly had his shortcomings at the quarterback position, there is no denying the fact that he’s a legend in the city of New York. He led the Giants to two Super Bowl victories and both of them came against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. He always seemed to have their number and his performances in big games will always be something that football fans will remember him by.

Coming into this season, Manning has been hired by the Giants in a new role that will see him become the head of fan engagement. The Giants announced the news today and they also revealed that Manning will have his number retired in a ceremony on September 26th. He will also be placed in the team’s ring of honor, and as Manning explained, he’s overwhelmed by the honor.

Rejjie Snow Enlists Tinashe & grouptherapy For “Disco Pantz”

Rejjie Snow has been unveiling new singles to build the anticipation surrounding his forthcoming project. The rapper shared the track “Cookie Chips” featuring a posthumous verse from MF DOOM. Then he came through with singles like “Mirrors” ft. Snoh Aalegra and “Relax.” Now, he’s returned with feel-good vibes for the summer with his latest release, “Disco Pantz.” The single is set to appear on his forthcoming project Baw Baw Black Sheep due out next month.

“‘Disco Pantz’ is a feel-good record for the old heads to get down too,” said Rejjie of his new single. “I approached [the album] light-heartedly from the point of view of making a short film through music. I always loved Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory; I watch it all the time. I thought of Baw Baw Black Sheep like a soundtrack to it. I put the movie on with my album, and they synced up perfectly. I tried to tap into all of these feelings. The music’s really colourful, and the lyrics are often happy because that was my state of mind.”

Quotable Lyrics
Tell me dirty, how I like it
Give me motion, make me live enough
Hit my line and I’ll be drownin’ up
But if you try me, I’ll be slidin’ up

The Game Goes Off On His Kids For Ignoring Him On Father’s Day

The Game is tired of the disrespect. In a new video that he posted to Instagram, the rapper says that he’s cutting off his loved ones who failed to acknowledge him on Father’s Day, revealing that only one of his children reach out to him this weekend.

The six-minute video sees the rapper going through a range of emotions as he calls out his children and their mothers for ignoring him on Father’s Day this year. He says that only his oldest son, Harlem, bought him a gift (some cologne) and called him, noting that his other kids were absent on his special day. He said that it’s nothing personal but he’s planning on cutting off his other children as a result.

“I know who I am as a father. Can’t nobody tell me that I’m not the type of father that deserves praise, deserves notice,” said The Game. “And I’m not saying go out and buy a n***a a Lamborghini or nothing like that but to be post-Father’s Day, to be on this video, making this video, and to really have nothing to show for it, it’s just unacceptable. It’s crazy and I’m really not fucking with it. So today is the day where, if you’re in my life and you’re close to me and I’ve done what I’ve done for you and I’ve taken care of you and looked after you for several years, and you know that you didn’t show up on Father’s Day with any type of appreciation, today is the day that I cut you off. It’s nothing personal but actions scream louder than words. I’m tired of the disrespect but I’ve gotta do something about it. And I hate to bring it to social media but there might be other fathers out there who feel unappreciated and might need to know that they’re not alone.”

The Game also said that he received some thoughtful messages from absolute strangers, spotting some videos of other famous fathers getting spoiled this weekend. He’s seemingly disappointed in his children, taking to Instagram to voice his frustrations.

Conway The Machine Reflects On Charity Work

Conway The Machine has been making the most of the year so far, having dropped off a pair of albums in If It Bleeds, It Can Be Killed and his most recent solo drop La Maquina. As he tells it, his upcoming Shady Records drop God Don’t Make Mistakes should be released by the end of the summer, which should segue quite nicely into his Love Will Get You Killed tour this fall.

Suffice it to say, 2021 has been another prolific year for The Machine, who recently took a moment to reflect on an important chapter of his journey. |So my son texted me happy Father’s Day and told me he loved me and how much he admired my humbleness,” writes Machine, taking to Instagram to pen a lengthy message. “Now at dinner as I’m goin thru my phone to text someone back and I came across this clip… I thought about what my son said and I understood what he was telling me.”

“Im the kinda person that hates attention and clout and all that weird internet shit so I don’t really post a lot of the shit I do for families or my community work or anything like that because I don’t do it for a pat on the back I do it outta love my heart is so big and I genuinely care about my people and my city,” he continues.

“But when it’s my time to go, its shit like this that I wanna be remembered for, that I was a real ni*ga that always stayed solid and was a guy that would spend his last giving back and taking care of my community and was extremely humble and down to earth,” he continues. “When I got shot in the head and had to accept the fact that my face will be paralyzed forever I had so much anger and hate in my heart towards everything and everybody, ironically overcame that hatred by showing love that’s why anybody that ever met me, regardless if it was a rapper or celeb or someone that works a regular 9 to 5 they will tell you machine showed them LOVE!!”

“And again I gotta thank Erie county legislator, chairwoman @aprilbaskin716 for all the work she’s done and continues to do for the city of Buffalo and for acknowledging me for the continued work I’m so blessed to be in a position to do. I was inspired to share this… Salute to the fathers.”

Check out the clip Conway shared below, and be sure to show some love to the Buffalo rapper, who has continuously held it down for his city and fans. When all is said and done, do you think The Machine will be remembered as one of the greats?

James Harden To Join U.S. Olympic Team Despite Hamstring Injury

James Harden is one of the best players in the NBA and while he got to play with the Brooklyn Nets in the playoffs, it was clear that he was struggling with a hamstring injury. Harden was unable to put his best foot forward during Games 6 and 7 which eventually led to the Nets’ loss at the hands of the Milwaukee Bucks. With his injury in mind, many figured that Harden would take the summer off and recuperate in time for next season, where he would be healthy and ready to go.

Instead, Harden has decided to tempt fate and commit to the United States Olympic basketball team where he will compete at the Tokyo Olympics in July. The Olympics could pose a huge risk to Harden, especially in his current state although the Nets superstar seems secure enough with his own injury to risk reaggravating it.

Just yesterday, it was revealed that Kevin Durant would be playing for the Olympic team as well, which means the two Nets teammates will be able to find some chemistry in Japan. With the best NBA players in the world committing to the team, it’s clear that the U.S. are the favorites heading into the tournament, and it will be fun to see how they do against some of the more competitive countries.

Stay tuned to HNHH as we will continue to bring you updates from the NBA world.

Bow Wow And Soulja Boy Hype Their Upcoming Verzuz With Some Hilarious Trash Talk

With their upcoming Verzuz battle inching nearer, Bow Wow and Soulja Boy have gotten into the competitive spirit, spending the past few days trading trash talk and trolling each other over their various missteps and shortcomings.

On one end, Soulja revived Bow Wow’s infamous private plane faux pas, reminding fans that his opponent once posted a photo of someone else’s private plane before boarding a commercial flight to New York, only to be caught out by a fan who recognized him and posted his own candid shot of Bow Wow on his flight. “Because of me u get to fly private for real for Verzuz,” Soulja crowed. “U don’t gotta cap no more wit the challenge and commercial Spirit flights.” He also challenged Bow Wow’s current absence on the charts (although to be fair, Bow Wow hasn’t released many new singles recently. He did drop “My Pain” this year).

Meanwhile, Bow Wow, who knows a thing or two about hyping a competition after an earlier, wrestling-based back-and-forth, argued that he didn’t need to release any new records because of his multiple revenue streams, including appearing in the next installment of the Fast And Furious film series, F9. The trolling appeared to be in good nature, though, as Bow Wow also offered this observation: “I dont think @THEREALSWIZZZ and @Timbaland understand the magnitude of this #VERZUZ brodie.”

We’ll all find out this Friday, June 26, when the two rappers face off in a 20-song hits battle. Check out their WWE-style promos below.
