Travis Scott Unveils Garden At Houston School, Later Performs With SZA

His team may have lost the World Series yesterday, but Travis Scott was still in his hometown giving back. The rapper regularly showcases his charitable efforts and this time, he was in Houston unveiling a campus garden at the Young Elementary school. According to Houston Public Media, this garden will be one of many at schools across the city in an effort to teach students about nutrition, gardening, and agriculture.

“Hopefully, you know, it gives these kids some sort of inspirational thing to do every day, and kind of help them look forward to the future,” said the rapper.

He also dedicated the garden to his grandmother who was beaming by his side at the family-friendly ceremony. Reports state that “Miss Sealie’s Corner” is a gazebo at the location.

“We grew up not too far from here on Rosehaven. She used to have a garden in her backyard that looked similar to this,” Scott said. “All she did was make flowers for people around the neighborhood and for family and mostly for anyone that asked, so it’s kinda crazy that we’re able to bring this to the elementary school and allow kids to have that same experience.”

After he took pictures and shook hands, later that evening, he surprised a roaring audience of fans when he joined SZA onstage during her concert. Check out a few highlights from both events below.

Jay-Z Deletes IG 24 Hours After Amassing 1 Million Followers

“He came, he saw, and he left,” is a phrase that could pretty much sum up Jay-Z’s experience on Instagram. It was 24 hours ago when the internet imploded after Hov finally added his name to the growing list of celebrities launching Instagram accounts. Jay-Z is one of a handful of mega-famous and-or wealthy figures who avoid social media at all costs. In a time when it seems as if famous figures are showing all sides of their luxury lifestyles to flex on their peers and the poor, Jay keeps his business offline

However, after he went live on IG, millions of posts were made about the Roc Nation mogul’s page. Within three hours, he amassed over 1 million followers.

Beyonce has been on Instagram for years and never followed anyone until her husband’s arrival. He returned the favor and offered one post about The Harder They Fall, the star-studded film he helped produce. Jay-Z has been spotted at several events to aid in promoting the movie, and on the eve of its arrival to Netflix, it seems that he was willing to add his face to Instagram.

Now that the premiere has come and gone and The Harder They Fall has become one of the top streaming films on Netflix at the moment, Jay-Z has bowed out. Fans noticed that Hov’s page has been taken down just as quickly as it arrived. Maybe with the next big Jay-Z project, we will see his return.

Summer Walker Previews Ari Lennox Collab “Unloyal” From “Still Over It”

The R&B ladies are ready for yet another Summer Walker season as the singer prepares for her next release. After weeks of hyping up her new record, we’re now 24 hours away from hearing Summer’s sophomore studio effort, Still Over It. Her debut Over It was released around this time back in 2019 and climbed to the No. 1 spot its first week.

Walker has already delivered her JT-assisted single “Ex For a Reason,” and now she’s back to preview her upcoming release by sharing a snippet of her collaboration with Ari Lennox.

On Instagram Live, Summer played a track reportedly titled “Unloyal.” In the clip that has been shared online, the Dreamville songbird can be heard singing about a “childish” man who believes she is going to “stand on by and watch you waste my time, I am too damn fine.” In addition to listening to bits of Still Over It, Summer Walker also answered questions from fans who tuned in for the 30-minute surprise appearance.

Check out the clip as well as the Livestream below and let us know if you’re excited to hear Still Over It also featuring Lil Durk, Pharrell, and Omarion, along with an outro prayer from Ciara.

Jay-Z Deleted His Latest Instagram Account Just A Day After He Made It

On Tuesday, Jay-Z surprised the entertainment world by starting an Instagram account. It was an unexpected move from the rapper, who rarely uses social media. He signed up to promote the upcoming film, The Harder They Fall, which he helped co-executive produce. While some may have been looking forward to what else he’d do with the app, they’ll never know because he deleted the page less than a day after launching it.

An attempt to visit @jayz on Instagram presents the error message, “User not found.” This is not the first time Jay quickly deleted an Instagram page. Back in the summer of 2015, he made an account under the name @hovsince96 and shared a picture of himself with Michael Jackson. However, according to the The New York Daily News, Jay deleted the page 14 hours later. As of now, Facebook and Twitter remain as his only social media accounts.

Jay’s decision to delete his Instagram account comes after he offered some advice to kids with “dreams of being successful” during a brief interview with Jazzy, an 11-year-old Brooklyn reporter. “Believe in yourself, even before anyone else believes in you,” he said. “You’ve got to have ultimate confidence like you do. You’re very confident. And just believe in yourself.”

Saba Announces His Third Album, ‘Few Good Things,’ And Confirms It’s ‘Coming Soon’

Saba has been involved in some quality projects over his career, including his first two albums, 2016’s Bucket List Project and 2018’s Care For Me. He also spearheaded Pivot Gang’s 2019 compilation You Can’t Sit With Us. However, for the past couple of years, Saba’s releases have been scarce, having delivered just a few singles since his last album. Thankfully, that’s about to change. On Wednesday he officially announced his third album, Few Good Things, is “coming soon,” and he showed his gratitude to his supporters in a string of tweets.

“Thank you to everyone who waited,” he wrote. “I can’t believe I’m writing this right now but i’m ready. With everything going on, it gets hard to take your time. It’s something I find valuable in my own art. But y’all have grown with me through years of this sh*t now. And I’m extremely grateful.”

He added, “I’ve both lost so much and gained so much since the last go round. These last few years have been eternities for me. This next one is special to me. If you’ve ever been a supporter of me and Pivot in anyway, RT my next tweet.” In the following next post, Saba announced the album and promised a new single would arrive on Thursday.

This comes after Pivot Gang producer Squeak was shot and killed back in August. Squeak produced a number of songs for Saba and other Pivot Gang members prior to his tragic death.

Drake Reacts To YK Osiris’s “Certified Lover Thug” Heart-Shaped Haircut

There are some who live by the creed that there is no such thing as bad publicity, and that seems to be working out in this trolling exchange between Drake and YK Osiris. Drake has been back to his grind following the release of Certified Lover Boy and the album remains in the top spots across the charts. Several artists would love for Drake to pen a social media post about them, but tonight (November 3), YK Osiris has Drizzy’s spotlight.

To be fair, it was Osiris who pulled the first move by sharing a mirror selfie that showed his heart-shaped Certified Lover Boy-inspired hairline. The caption was enough to make YK Osiris a trending topic.

Certified lover thug,” the singer penned. Osiris also dropped off a series of photos and videos that showed he was enjoying the nightlife in Miami, adding that he paid $1,500 for his haircut. Drake was amused enough by YK Osiris’s antics to give him billboard space on his Instagram Story.

“Burnt tf out [crying laughing emojis],” wrote Drizzy over one of Osiris’s photos. “You really are one of one.” This interaction is an extension of their previous trolling exchange after Drake beat YK Osiris in basketball. Previously, Osiris challenged rake to a boxing match.

Asian Doll & King Von’s BM Trade Jabs Over Rapper’s “Crash Out” Comments

The romance between Asian Doll and Jackboy seems to be moving along nicely, at least that is what fans believe. The pair have confirmed that they are together and have been spotted holding hands while enjoying time at the fair, but this new relationship has not stopped Asian Doll from speaking about her love for King Von.

Asian Doll has publicly mourned her ex and as we’re just days away from the one-year anniversary since he was murdered, she has been increasing those conversations about Von. This evening g(November 3), a video of Doll circulated showing her discussing the type of man she wants to be with, and those that “crash out or pass away” aren’t on her radar.

“I’m not even riding his d*ck, but it’s j just like, what I’ve seen and just what I’ve heard, it’s just none of that,” she said in the video. “So, I like what the f*ck I like. I done had the most handsomest boyfriend. Von looked better than every rapper. I had that. Look what I dealt with. C’mon now. Use your head. I’m not going back down that road. I’m not dealing with nobody who I just feel like is finna just crash out or pass away. That’s stupid.”

“But that’s just me. You see how I’m on this b*tch talkin’ ’bout my life? Worry ’bout y’all life.” Meanwhile, Keema, the mother of one of Von’s children, indirectly responded to Asian Doll’s comments. On her Instagram Story, Keema seemingly objected to the rapper’s choice of words.

“My Babydaddy didn’t ‘crash out & die‘ he served his purpose in life & when God felt like it was his time, he called him home. [praying hands emoji],” Kemma wrote. “No it wasn’t ideal for us but that’s not for us to determine!” Let’s just say Asian Doll wasn’t happy with that post. Check it out below.

Joe Exotic Believes Carole Baskin Will “Party” Over His “Aggressive Cancer” Diagnosis

As Netflix gears up for its second installment of Tiger King mania, Joe Exotic shares unfortunate news from behind bars. Exotic was thrust into the spotlight last year after the Tiger King documentary became an internet sensation. His exploits with his team of big cat-lovers all were the basis of household conversations as the public tuned in to watch the tales of addiction, infidelity, mayhem, and murder plots.

Joe Exotic’s nemesis Carole Baskin was not a fan of how she was portrayed and recently sued Netflix and producers over Tiger King 2. Her attempts to have the second docuseries thwarted reportedly ended up failing as the streaming platform was given the thumbs up to move forward.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday (November 3), Exotic shared on social media that his doctors told him he had “aggressive cancer” and he used the moment to mention how happy Baskin would be at the news.

“Everyone, It is with a sad face that I have to tell you the doctors called me in today to break the news that my prostate biopsy came back with an aggressive cancer,” he wrote. “I am still waiting on the results from other test as well. Right now I don’t want anyone’s pity and I’m sure Carole Will have her own party over this!” Once again, he made an impassioned plea about his case.

“What I need is the world to be my voice to be released, they have the proof I DID NOT DO THIS! And there is no reason for the district attorney to drag this out, So I can go home and get treatment on my own or enjoy what life I have left with my loved ones!” Joe Exotic asked the public to pray for him. Rubi Rose Dubs Herself An “Intelligent Rich Hoe” As She Flexes Penthouse Apt

She’s clapping back at her critics from the relaxation of her luxury home and Rubi Rose doesn’t give two shakes about what anyone thinks. The model-turned-rapper is often on the receiving end of negativity but she takes it all in stride as she continues to book shows, share thirst traps, release projects, and stack cash.

This time around, Rubi decided to play into the naysayer while revealing the total of her monthly expenses and it surprised some. On her Instagram Story, Rubi wrote over a photo of her home, “It’s 10K a month for my penthouse. My bills for the month be at minimum $75K.”

“How much u think I’m bringing in every month? HINT: a lot,” she added, before correcting her critics on the names they call her. “Y’all think I’m just a hoe… But no… I’m an intelligent rich hoe.” In May 2020, the 24-year-old announced that she was receiving her bachelor’s degree, much like other rappers who continue their higher education while pursuing their careers.

“Last year I was still going to school at Georgia State and living off Pryor rd. My life changed in a year. F*ck the haters… keep going.” Check it out below.

Big Boi & Outkast Were Ready For Whatever At 1995 Source Awards: “We Got Hands”

Hip Hop history is riddled with infamous moments from The Source Awards. It was there that fights would break out and tense moments were had as different rappers and their cliques were placed in the same room in the midst of their public beefs. In 1995, Outkast was the collective from the South that was just making music people could vibe to as “East vs. West” madness took over the industry.

During his recent 10 Questions with Kyle Brandt interview, Big Boi was questioned about Outkast’s big win at The Source Awards back in 1995 as the crowd booed them. “It was thick in there. It was a lotta beef goin’ on, you know. You just thought it would have been a stabbing or a shoot-out at any time,” said Big Boi.

Yet, Outkast and their entourage were not intimidated. “We were just right there in the middle of it like, ‘A wish a motherf*cker would.’ Yep. Pretty much.” Big Boi added that they weren’t worried about their safety because “we was deep in there.” He added, “We had people up there that took care of us and you know, sh*t, we got hands, too!”

The host wanted Big Boi to explain what he meant. “We got some people that took care of us and we got hands, too, like ain’t nobody finna just get beat up. Not never.” Earlier this year, it was announced that The Source Awards would be returning in 2022. Watch the clip of Big Boi’s interview below.
