Dubai denies R. Kelly ever had plans for a concert

Lately, #RKelly has been a #trendingtopic in the media for all the wrong reasons. According to the Associated Press Reports, Kelly turned over his passport as part of his $1 million bail agreement; however, his attorneys have filed a motion seeking permission for the troubled singer to travel to Dubai to perform concerts. But #jurors, the GAG is that the Dubai Government allegedly issued a statement on Sunday denying that R. Kelly had booked concerts in the United Arab Emirates city as his legal team claimed‼ It is reported that “authorities in Dubai have not received any request for a performance by singer R. Kelly nor are there any venues that have been booked.”  The source added that Kelly “has not been invited by the Dubai royal family for a performance.” #whewchile ❗Yet, Kelly’s attorney, Steve Greenberg, reasserted that Kelly had plans with a prominent promoter in Dubai and Kelly’s confinement to the United States is preventing him from making a living!

After the Dubai government statement, attorney #MichaelAvenatti, who represents several clients tied to the sex abuse allegations case against Kelly, tweeted, “I cannot wait to see what R. Kelly’s explanation is for the outright lies to the court, the media, and the public. Every indication is that he fabricated the concerts in Dubai and the meeting with the Royal family in an attempt to flee the country.” Kelly’s attorney dismissed the concerns regarding Kelly attempting to use the alleged Dubai trip to abscond from his trial, calling the allegations “nonsensical.”

Interestingly enough, #MichaelAvenatti was caught on camera name-dropping R. Kelly and #Trump—his two most famous adversaries—while trying to extort more than $20 million from @Nike according to court papers filed today! Oh, the irony! 🐸☕
