Young Thug Promises Drake He “Will Be Paid” For “Parade on Cleveland” & “Oh U Went” Features

Last New Music Friday (June 16) it was Gunna’s a Gift & a Curse album that had hip-hop heads talking. Now, it’s Young Thug’s turn to show out on his surprise BUSINESS IS BUSINESS project, which hit DSPs at midnight (June 23). The 15-track effort is the Atlanta native’s first LP since his arrest last year as part of a sweeping RICO indictment along with several other co-defendants. Throughout his lyrics, Thugger addresses those who allegedly snitched on him to gain back their own freedom while working alongside a group of impressive collaborators.

He and Future come together for “Cars Bring Me Out,” and we hear from 21 Savage, Travis Scott, and Yak Gotti on “Wit Da Racks” immediately after. The Houston-born rager also appears on “Abracadabra,” while the “Rich Ni**a Sh*t” hitmaker joins Thug again later on “Want Me Dead.” We also hear from Nate Ruess, BSlime, and Lil Gotit, but the guest appearance that fans appear to be most excited about so far is Drake. The Canadian came through on two separate titles, opening the album with “Parade on Cleveland” and resurfacing again midway through the tracklist on “Oh U Went.”

Ahead of BUSINESS IS BUSINESS arrival, Drizzy took to Instagram to promote his “Way 2 Sexy” collaborator’s work. “You owe me this time,” the father of one wrote in the comments, seemingly hinting that he’s waiting on a paycheck from Thug.

Even from behind bars, the YSL leader managed to get a message out assuring Drake that he’ll get his money. “[You] will be paid,” the So Much Fun artist promised. As expected, both songs are among the highest praised on BUSINESS IS BUSINESS so far, though the overall album reception so far has some critics showing favour towards Gunna’s LP over Thug’s.

Young Thug Shares A Message From Jail On His Track With Drake From ‘Business Is Business’

Last week, Young Thug announced a mysterious release titled “Business Is Business” with a countdown timer set to end the following week. True to its word, the countdown concluded with the release of Thug’s new album Business Is Business. It arrived with 15 songs and features from Drake, Future, Travis Scott, Yak Gotti, 21 Savage, Lil Uzi Vert, BSlime, Lil Got It, and Nate Ruess. The album opened with a record titled “Parade On Cleveland” which features Drake, and on it, Thug delivers a quick message from jail.

Following a verse from Drake, the Toronto rapper presumably accepts a collect call to the Cobb County Adult Detention Facility from Thug himself. “Wassup my brother, talk to me, what’s the word?” Drake asks and Thug replies, “Uh, I ain’t doin’ sh*t, man. Just pushin’ more Peter, more sweeter, more completer than any Peter pusher around. See what I’m sayin’ Slime?”

For what it’s worth, it seems like Thug is in good spirits based on that phone call, which is good to hear considering that the rapper has been in jail for over a year now.

You can listen to “Parade From Cleveland” in the video above.

Business Is Business is out now via YSL/300 Entertainment/Atlantic Records. Find more information here.

Despite his ongoing troubles with the law—Young Thug still remains a Grammy Award-winning, multi platinum, chart-topping artist. The CEO of Young Stoner Life Records just released his new full-length studio album, BUSINESS IS BUSINESS.

This project marks his first full-length solo album since 2021’s Punk, which bowed at #1 on the Billboard 200. Last week, a QR code appeared on Thug’s Instagram, attracting curiosity and buzz to www.businessisbusiness.biz. Today, as the countdown ended, he delivered the surprise arrival of the 15-track album, BUSINESS IS BUSINESS.

When asked about the album, Young Thug simply replied with “Business is Business.”

BUSINESS IS BUSINESS features collaborations with 21 Savage, Drake, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Travis Scott and more. A thought-provoking image of Thug in court serves as the artwork for the album.

Inspired by the weaponization of Young Thug’s art against him, 300 Elektra Entertainment Chairman and CEO Kevin Liles has spearheaded the Protect Black Art movement to limit the use of creative expression against artists in courtrooms. It has already inspired legislation signed into law California, the passage of bills in state houses in Louisiana, Missouri, and New York, as well as the introduction of the RAP Act at the federal level, which today has 22 co-sponsors. Notably, the California law has already led to an appeals court overturning a conviction, calling the prosecutor’s usage of lyrics “prejudicial” and stating the “remaining evidence was not strong.” Liles said, “This is a movement, not a moment. The prosecutorial overreach in the case against Jeffery – a great father, CEO, and leader in his community – has awakened the artistic community to the growing attack on their First Amendment rights.”

Young Thug And Drake Remind Everyone That They Haven’t Left On Their New Song, ‘Parade On Cleveland’

Young Thug has released his new album, Business Is Business tonight (June 23). On the album, which he dropped from jail, Thugger is joined by a set of heavy hitters, including Nate Ruess, Lil Uzi Vert, and Drake. The latter joins him on a track called “Parade On Cleveland.”

On the track, Thug and Drake show off their vocal chops, delivering smooth sounds over an R&B-influenced beat. Drake opens the song, making it known that “Soon as I’m fresh out the box like a Tic-Tac / We having sex soon as I get my b*tch back / It ain’t gonna be sexy when I get my lick back.”

Before Thug’s verse, a voice recording indicating that a phone call is coming in from Cobb County Adult Detention Facility plays. Thug then rests fans assured that he will be home soon.

“Hands down / Yeah, the big dog coming back / Think you good?…Pants down, you smoking crack,” he raps.

On the outro, Thug repeats the phrase “business is business,” setting the overall mood for the hotly-anticipated album.

Young Thug Releases New Album “Business Is Business”

This week, Young Thug has been gearing up for the release of his latest album, titled Business Is Business. Unfortunately, the circumstances surrounding the album’s release are unfortunate for the rapper. He has been in prison for over a year. As many know, this is due to charges of racketeering and conspiracy connected to his YSL collective, which prosecutors consider a gang organization. As a result, Young Thug’s music has been limited to guest appearances. He has collaborated with artists like Metro Boomin, Yeat, and Rae Sremmurd. However, the release of Business Is Business finally changes that.

The album was initially announced through a countdown timer. It was shared on Young Thug’s and Metro Boomin’s social media pages, among others. Shortly before the countdown ended, Young Thug, Metro Boomin, and Drake revealed the album’s artwork. Then, earlier tonight, the tracklist for Business Is Business was finally unveiled. It featured 15 songs. On it, there were collaborations with Drake, Future, Travis Scott, Yak Gotti, and Lil Uzi Vert. Now, fans can finally rest easy knowing that Thugger has dropped his new album.

Young Thug Drops Bangers From Behind Bars

Young Thug may be behind bars, but that hasn’t stopped him from releasing an album full of bangers. Metro Boomin serves as the executive producer of the album. As such, it’s no surprise that he has contributed to several tracks. However, there are also notable contributions from other prominent producers. These include names such as Dr. Luke, Wheezy, Southside, and many others.

Interestingly, it hasn’t actually been that long since Young Thug dropped new music. Last month, he featured on Yeat’s latest single, “My Wrist.” However, fans will surely be glad to finally be getting a full album from Thugger himself instead of just features. With all of the star power that the rapper has got on board for his latest effort, there will no doubt be some big hits to come out of it. What do you think of Young Thug’s new album? Sound off in the comments below to let us know!

Young Thug Reveals “Business Is Business” Tracklist

Young Thug is about to drop his new album, Business Is Business. This comes one week after Gunna dropped his latest effort. Fans have speculated on potential beef because of the YSL RICO case. However, recent social media activity from both Gunna and Young Thug may render all that discussion irrelevant. Gunna recently reposted Young Thug’s enigmatic countdown on Instagram. It was a post that was also shared by other prominent MCs and producers in the industry. This suggests that Gunna is fully supportive and excited about the new music Young Thug has in store for his fans. Whether or not this will signify any large shift in public opinion on Gunna as a snitch remains to be seen.

Gunna’s latest album, a Gift & a Curse, received a mix of acclaim, surprise, and conversation upon its release. The 30-year-old artist addresses those who doubted him when they heard about his involvement in the legal case. Many have called him out as a snitch, suggesting that he ratted out Young Thug. The album contains lyrics that allude to misunderstood situations. He also refers to fake loyalty from others in the music industry and a great deal of personal reflection and introspection. For example, in the track “rodeo dr,” Gunna raps, “I know some n*ggas locked up in the dungeon that say they feel me like fabric / I know you heard I been pullin’ up pressin’ these n*ggas who claimin’ I ratted.” It looks like the crew might be sticking together, after all.

Thugger Calls In The Big Guns For “Business Is Business”

Now, Young Thug is preparing to release his new album, titled Business Is Business. Sadly, the circumstances surrounding its release are unfortunate for the rapper. He has been incarcerated for over a year on racketeering and conspiracy charges related to his YSL collective. Prosecutors believe it is a gang organization. Consequently, Thug’s musical output has been limited to guest appearances. He has featured alongside artists like Metro Boomin, Yeat, and Rae Sremmurd. However, with the upcoming release of Business Is Business, that is about to change.

The project was initially announced through a countdown timer. The timer was shared on the social media pages of Young Thug, Metro Boomin, and others. Shortly before the timer ended, Thug, Metro, and Drake revealed the artwork for the album. Now, the tracklist for the project has been unveiled. Business Is Business consists of 15 songs. It includes features from artists like Drake, Future, Travis Scott, Yak Gotti, and Lil Uzi Vert. Check out the full tracklist below! Are you excited for Young Thug’s new album? Young Thug And Drake Hinted At A Collab, And Thug Assured Drake He ‘Will Be Paid’

We are just hours away from new Young Thug music. At midnight (June 23), Thug will drop Business Is Business. He made the announcement earlier today (from jail) via Instagram, which was met with support from producer and longtime collaborator, Metro Boomin’.

“BUSINESS IS BUSINESS AVAILABLE WORLDWIDE TONIGHT!! … FREE TWIN. I LOVE YOU,” said Metro in a post.

Since the announcement, fans have been abuzz, making predictions about what to expect from the album. But over the past few eras, Thug and some of his potential collaborators have been dropping hints.

Drake commented on Thug’s post, which has led fans to believe that there may be a Drizzy-Thugger collab on the album.

“You owe me this time…midnight,” said Drake.

Thug (or likely, someone on his social media team) responded to the comment, ensuring that Drake will receive his dues.

“U will be paid,” said Thug.

The album arrives a week after Gunna dropped his first post-prison release, The Gift & A Curse. Because of this, fans are also wondering if Thug will address Gunna’s plea deal and snitching rumors.

Young Thug’s ‘Business Is Business’ Artwork Pictures Him In Court For His Upcoming Release

As of today, it’s been about two years since Young Thug released a project with that being his fall 2021 effort Punk. Since then, we’ve heard him on albums from the likes of Metro Boomin, Gunna, Future, Lil Baby, Yeat, and others, but outside of that, Thug’s career has been stunted by his spring 2022 arrest. He, along with other members of his YSL collective, were arrested on racketeering and conspiracy charges. Now, for the first time since that arrest, it appears that the music world will get a new body of work from Young Thug.

The rumored project appears to be titled Business Is Business thanks to posts on Young Thug’s social media pages. The project was first announced last week with a countdown, and with just a few hours left on it, we now have the artwork for Business Is Business. Posted by Thug, Metro Boomin, and Drake, the artwork depicts Young Thug seated in a chair with his body turned to face the camera. Beside him on each side are four men who are facing frontward.

Metro Boomin and Drake also shared the Business Is Business artwork with Metro writing, “BUSINESS IS BUSINESS AVAILABLE WORLDWIDE TONIGHT!! YOU CAN’T STOP WHAT GOD HAS PLANNED!! #FREETWIN I LOVE YOU BRO.” Drake wrote on Instagram, “you owe me this time… midnight @thuggerthugger1.” Young Thug’s Instagram page replied to Drake’s post, writing, “U will be paid.”
