When raising a child in 2024, too many parents find themselves living paycheck to paycheck, having to make major sacrifices in their lives to provide for their children. Such clearly isn’t the case for DDG and Halle Bailey, who’ve been able to spoil their son, Halo, with gifts and experiences people far older than him can only dream of. At the same time, they’re still able to support themselves, with The Little Mermaid actress always keeping her wardrobe and hair on point while DDG enjoys spending his money on jewelry.

Rather than adding to his collection of chains, on Tuesday (April 16), the Michigan-born multi-talent revealed he spent six figures on a new piece for his mouth. “Got bored so I spent a quarter million on a tooth,” DDG wrote on Twitter/X when showing off selfies of his flashy new cap. “Should’ve bought a house or sumn ,” he reflected, suggesting that perhaps the purchase was a waste of money.

Elsewhere on social media, the “Elon Musk” artist is making news for his clever clapback at those criticizing his parenting. “Ni**as watched ‘The Proud Family’ for 10 seasons without seeing Wizard Kelly’s face, but trippin’ ’bout me not showing my son’s face, smh,” DDG reflected. “Now why would I wanna show yo fat face a** my baby?” he asked one hater. “[You] irregular head shaped a** ni**a, mind yo [business] and take that hot ass suede suit off .”

DDG’s obvious presence in his son’s life has reminded some critics of what Halle Bailey sees in the YouTuber after the previous ups and downs we’ve seen their relationship endure. However, lately, rumours of a breakup have been flying around Halo’s parents after Bailey was spotted at Coachella alone. Drake’s Rap Beefs Stem From Alleged Co-ownership Of Gamma Music, Joe Budden Says

Joe Budden might not be hitting the studio like he used to, but the podcaster still has plenty of industry intel he’s happy to discuss on his show. Lately, a lot of the 43-year-old’s content has been focusing on the drama unfolding amongst the men of rap. Many are curious why Drake suddenly became public enemy number one to former collaborators like Rick Ross and Kendrick Lamar. According to Budden, the reason might be a lot more complicated than it seems on the surface.

“The labels got s**t running through Drake, I’m telling you,” the “Pump It Up” hitmaker alleged on Tuesday’s (April 16) episode of his podcast. “We’re going to find out. One of these ni**as is going to spill the beans soon, I’m telling you. There’s something here that we don’t know enough about yet,” Budden said after a co-host mentioned the father of one’s alleged ties to Gamma. XXL notes that the new company was founded in 2023 by former Apple executive Larry Jackson and record executive Ike Youssef. Rick Ross, French Montana, Sexyy Red, and Usher are all artists on the platform’s roster.

“I think Drake owns some of Gamma,” The Joe Budden Podcast creator told viewers. In the past, the rapper-turned-media personality speculated that the 6ix God is getting paid for showing support to Sexyy, which supports this theory. At this point, it’s hard to keep up with all the artists who seem to be airing out their issues with Drake. Rick Ross and Drake have given us some bangers over the years, such as “Aston Martin Music,” “Money In The Grave,” and “Diced Pineapples.” Despite all their past success, it seems any chance of reconciliation between the Canadian and Mississippi-born rhymers is obsolete, especially now that diss tracks have been dropped. For the most part, Champagne Papi’s been laughing off all of Ross’ claims about him, including allegations of getting a nose job. The father of one hasn’t given an official response to his former collaborator’s new diss track yet, though other social media stars are putting their pen to work, such as Tokyo Toni.

Toni, the mother of model and influencer Blac Chyna, has become known for writing songs in her home “studio” and posting them online, though some are better than others. What she said about Cardi B over the beat to “Like What” didn’t fly with hip-hop heads, though some of her bars about Ross have us laughing. “How’d he get so rich? / A fat, bald b**ch,” Toni asks, genuine confusion on her face, as music blares in the background.

“Maybach Music? What the f**k is that?” Toni then asks. “The ni**a’s a rat / He got the police friends and that,” the controversial figure adds, reminding listeners of Ross’ history as a correctional officer. “Rick Ross is already dealing with Tia Kemp, now he got this problem too? ,” one Twitter/X user laughed. “The eclipse did something to us,” another joked.

Based on how viciously Rick Ross came for Drake on “Champagne Moments,” we can’t imagine what kinds of things he might have to say to Tokyo Toni. The Kid LAROI Confirms He’s Dating Tate McRae During Recent Show

After rumors had swirled for a few weeks, two pop hitmakers were officially confirmed to be an item. The Kid LAROI first broke through a few years ago with two mega-hits. His acoustic ballad “Without You” and his Justin Bieber collaboration “Stay” both landed on his 2021 project F*CK LOVE 3 and were both smash hits. The former has racked up an astonishing 3 billion streams on Spotify an accomplishment that only 9 songs have achieved.

He’s recently been subject to dating rumors with emerging superstar Tate McRae. McRae released her second album THINK LATER last year and it contains multiple hit songs. The biggest of the bunch of “greedy” which has over a billion streams on Spotify. The song currently sits at number 13 on the Hot 100 after peaking at number three last year. Her album also contains “exes” which sits at number 67 on the chart after peaking at number 34. Baby Rose & BADBADNOTGOOD Team Up For Vibrant New EP “Slow Burn”

North Carolina-based singer Baby Rose already has multiple projects under her belt. The R&B darling has collaborated with the likes of Erick The Architect, Big K.R.I.T, and Ari Lennox. But her new project is an unexpected collaboration that digs deeper than any of her previous team-ups. She and Canadian jazz trio BADBADNOTGOOD just dropped a new 6-track EP called Slow Burn. The project was led off by the song “One Last Dance” back in March. The song has racked up nearly 1.5 million streams on Spotify in less than a month since its release.

Now the full project is out and it adds up to 23 minutes of material spread across 6 tracks. The sound of the EP is a relaxed and vintage vibe that fittingly finds a midpoint between BBNG’s smooth jazz side and Baby Rose’s soulful demeanor. Highlights like opener “On My Mind” show off what makes Rose’s voice so unique. And on the track “Caroline” she teams up with Mereba to show off how well her singing pairs with other vocalists. The project features appearances from artists like Danny Brown, MF DOOM, and more. Late last year the band was part of a huge collaboration. They teamed up with Griselda rappers Westside Gunn and Conway The Machine as well as 88RISING project 1999 WRITE THE FUTURE for a massive posse cut called “Mint Chocolate.”

Tinashe Is Looking For Someone To Match Her Levels Of “Nasty”

Last year, Tinashe dropped her new album BB/ANG3L. The short project ran just 7 tracks and a little over 20 minutes but was packed full of her unique R&B flavors throughout. The record was met with the same critical acclaim as it’s predecessor, 2021’s 333. But the R&B songstress clearly doesn’t have plans to slow down any time soon. Just last week she announced a second part to the album that’s coming soon. Pt. 2 is called QUANTUM BABY and while it doesn’t have a release date yet, it does have a lead single.

That single is called “Nasty” and Tinashe just unleashed it into the world overnight. The track is a combination of romantic and sensual instincts that sees the R&B darling seeking out someone who can match her levels of nasty. She warns that she’s liable to catch feelings for anybody on her pace, which is where some of her music video co-stars come in. The visuals for the track are also a combination of sensual presentation and futuristic technological imagery. But she also managed to find some time to learn a pretty essential skill that she may have been putting off, how to drive. She recently revealed to fans that she was finally being taught how to operate behind the wheel.

The revelation came through an Instagram Live where Cardi shared her driving lesson with fans. They filled the comments with hilarious reactions and comments as she slowly figured out the mechanisms of driving a car. As many fans pointed out, she’s hilariously learning how to drive behind the wheel of a Rolls-Royce truck. Last week, Cardi celebrated the 6th anniversary of her debut album Invasion Of Privacy. She took the anniversary as an opportunity to once again tease that the album’s follow-up is still in the works and coming soon. After teasing it multiple times last year she finally confirmed to fans that the record wasn’t arriving until 2024. It didn’t take her long to start living up to that promise though.

She’s already dropped two new singles from the record so far this year. Polo G’s Entourage Attempts To Block Photographers As He Leaves NYC Courtroom

Polo G won’t be out of the woods with his legal troubles any time soon. Last year his Los Angeles home was raided by police which led to his arrest. He was hit with some pretty serious charges including kidnapping, robbery, and assault. As a result of the raid and charges, he delayed an album that was nearing its previously announced release date. The record still hasn’t been released or had an official release date confirmed. But new events in the rapper’s life may lead to even further delays.

Earlier this week, Polo G was arrested once again. This time the staff at a New York hotel allegedly found a loaded gun in his hotel room. The gun they found was reportedly a black glock which led them to call 911. That eventually resulted in the rapper’s arrest where he was hit with charges of criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm. After lawyers debated whether or not he should be eligible for bail, he was eventually granted and made $25k bail and was released. But outside the courtroom, he ran into some trouble when overly eager photographers tried to get a shot of him stepping into his car. Check out the video of what happened below.

In a video making the rounds online, Polo G leaves the courtroom. He has a few associates with him who are trying to use umbrellas to block anyone from taking pictures of him. When one photographer gets a little too close someone from the rapper’s entourage has to physically confront them to keep them from getting a clean shot of Polo.

Coi Leray Tries Out The Viral “Wanna Be” Twerking Challenge

Last week, Megan Thee Stallion and GloRilla unleashed their new single “Wanna Be.” The song is unsurprisingly a twerking anthem with a hilarious frat-themed video that shows off both rapper’s abilities as dancers. The song has sparked a viral challenge where many are showing off their own skills at the now iconic dance. Though Megan has claimed the throne when it comes to twerking rappers, GloRilla recently claimed in an Instagram live that Megan learned it from watching her. Now there’s yet another rapper throwing her hat in the ring, Coi Leray.

Though she seemed to delete the video shortly after posting it, Coi Leray did try her hand at the “Wanna Be” challenge. Her original caption joked about how fans were waiting for her to chime in. The video itself is pretty typical featuring Coi twerking to “Wanna Be” in her bathroom. As is often the case with Coi videos, fans flooded a repost on Twitter with thirsty responses. The new song “Wanna Be” lands on GloRilla’s new mixtape Ehhthang Ehhthang which also dropped last week. It’s her first new project since her Anyways.. Life’s Great EP back in 2022. The project’s lead single “Yeah Glo” has been a major hit with both fans and critics. It hit the top 100 in its very first week and has stuck there. The song peaked at number 35 on the chart last month and currently sits at number 56.
