Could you imagine Tupac on Bad Boy Records? According to Pac’s brother, Mopreme Shakur, it was possible at one point. Appearing on The Art of Dialogue, Mopreme broke it all down.

“We were cool with them at one point,” Mopreme said. “There was a point ‘Pac was considering going to Bad Boy before his relationship with Death Row. He wanted to be on a Black label. He wanted to be with his people. He wanted to be with the brothers. He supported Black business.”

Mopreme also revealed he received a phone call from Diddy where the Bad Boy mogul denied any involvement in the death of the iconic Death Row rapper.

Speaking on The Art of Dialogue, Mopreme revealed the phone call happened “back in the day.”

“Puff called me back in the day,” Mopreme shared. “He was like, ‘I just want you to know I ain’t have nothing to do with your brother’s….. I know who you are, but we never met and I just want to call you man to man and let you know that I ain’t have nothing to do with your brother’s death.’”

Mopreme revealed that the phone call came after the Los Angeles Times released an article that pointed to Puff’s involvement. I told him I appreciate the call, but the truth has yet to come out, so we gon’ see.”

Tupac And Will Smith Would’ve Been ‘Really Good Friends,’ According To Jada Pinkett Smith

Jada Pinkett Smith hasn’t been holding back while promoting her new memoir. The actress recently sat down for an interview with Jay Shetty for his podcast On Purpose, during which she had some thoughts about the possibility of Tupac and Will Smith’s becoming pals.

“If ‘Pac had survived Vegas, he and Will would’ve ended up being really good friends,” Pinkett Smith said. “They would’ve had a lot to offer each other. Funny enough, Will was the only person when I started dating him, ‘Pac never said anything.”

“If I dated anybody else, ‘Pac had something to say,” she added. “He didn’t think anybody was good enough, which I understand. But when I started dating Will, he didn’t say anything. Which meant to me, in his own way, he approved. He didn’t say anything. Not a word, which made me believe he approved.”

Despite this, during another recent stop where Pinkett Smith talked to Fat Joe (via HipHopDX), she made it clear that she and Tupac were never a legit couple. “People make too many assumptions because I be trying to keep stuff close to the chest,” she noted. “We were never together. And people when they read the book, they’ll see how deep our friendship was.”

Jada Pinkett Smith Claims Tupac Would Have Divorced Her

For the entire past week, the news cycle has been mostly dominated by Jada Pinkett Smith. She’s done a series of bombshell interviews to promote her new memoir and it’s created an extensive amount of public drama. While much of that has come from her ongoing relationship with Will Smith, she’s also shared plenty of details dating back years. Some of which have gone all the way back to her relationship with Tupac in the 90s.

One of the first big revelations she made was calling Tupac her “soulmate” which certainly must have made things a bit awkward for Will Smith. But she surprised fans even more when she revealed that Tupac proposed to her while he was in prison. Ultimately, she turned him down and she seems to still think that was the right idea. In another new interview, she claims that “Pac would have divorced my a*s so fast.” Check out her full thoughts below.

Jada Pinkett Smith On Marrying Tupac

One person who has been surprisingly quiet through all of this is Will Smith himself. He took to social media to share a video of himself sleeping on a boat. The video also included Will completely ignoring the notifications on his cell phone. The video received positive responses from fans and fellow celebrities in the comments. Many praised him for the fact that he hasn’t made the same level of public show that Jada has for the various news stories.

Others who are urging privacy are Smith’s children. A new report claims that Jaden and Willow feel bad for their dad amid all of the news. They also apparently are calling for private matters to stay private in the situation. Unfortunately, with Jada’s memoir releasing today that doesn’t seem particularly likely. What do you think of Jada Pinkett Smith’s claim that Tupac would divorce her as soon as she was out of prison? Let us know in the comment section below.

50 Cent Still Thinks Diddy Was Involved In Tupac’s Murder, Doubling Down On His Past Statements

50 Cent has never been one to mince words or bite his tongue. While he has occasionally apologized for his acts of trollerism on the timeline, he hasn’t made any apparent effort to curb them. Most recently, he accused Diddy of being involved in the 1996 murder of Tupac Shakur, adopting an oft-repeated conspiracy theory while continuing his campaign against the fellow rap mogul, whose parties he criticized a few days before.

He even admitted to seeking help for this tendency at the recent stop in Latvia for his Final Lap Tour. “I got to stop doing that sh*t,” he said. “I’ve been talking to a therapist who trying to help me with the sh*t I’m saying. It’s some crazy sh*t that comes out of my mouth for no reason.”

Well, maybe he needs to up his number of weekly sessions or change doctors because it clearly isn’t working. As he told the crowd in Latvia, he reckoned that the reason he went off on Puff’s parties was because of his belief that Diddy had Tupac killed. “Maybe I said that sh*t about Puffy because he got Tupac killed,” said 50, “I thought it was for a real reason, and then I just thought of that. I wanted to post the sh*t I seen online.”

Maybe we should consider limiting rappers’ screen time the way we do kids and teens. They seem pretty prone to falling down the wrong rabbit holes and repeating anything they see, regardless of evidence. In any event, Las Vegas Police believe they’ve got the right guy after 27 years, finally garnering enough evidence to actually prosecute Duane “Keefe D” Davis, who has admitted his alleged involvement multiple times over the past several years.

ATL Jacob Changes His Tone On Kanye West And Tupac Debate

Earlier this week multi-talented producer ATL Jacob weighed into some rap discourse. After a music discussion page posted a poll posing the question of who was more influential between Kanye West and Tupac, many weighed in. While Pac ultimately won the poll there were plenty making the case for West being a more influential artist. Jacob wasn’t one of them as he tweeted in support of Tupac saying “I never seen another Tupac .. but i seen 100 Kanyes .. the influence is brazy.”

Apparently, he must have heard some arguments that convinced him. Earlier today he changed his tone completely tweeting about how he feels about the situation now. It’s pretty much the exact opposite as he said “Kanye has done more for HipHop than Tupac .. facts,” in a new tweet. It’s unclear if Jacob thinks that’s somehow a different debate than who is more influential, but it’s surprising to see such a drastic change in tone in just one day. Check out his new tweet below.

ATL Jacob Flip Flops

In the comments fans largely came to Tupac’s defense. “Pac lived to be 25 and died. Kanye lived past 25. The fact that people compare people to PAC shows how great PAC really is and what he means to the music industry. Jus saying it would be a better argument not to compare to a dead man that is still relevant,” one of the top comments reads. “But 2Pac open the door for that to happen, and he didn’t live long enough to keep breaking barriers,” another agrees.

Recently ATL Jacob once again proved that he’s a more versatile talent than his contemporaries. He’s been releasing his own music as a rapper for years and may have dropped his best track to date. His new song “MF Problem” has already received high praise from fans and racked up more than 60k views on YouTube in just a few days. Who do you think is more influential to hip hop Kanye West or Tupac? Let us know in the comment section below.

2Pac As The Face of Nixon Watches Sparks Controversy

Late hip-hop icon 2Pac has become the new face of Nixon watches, leaving fans both intrigued and confused about the unexpected product placement. Billboard announced the partnership on Tuesday, Oct. 3, revealing that 2Pac, known for hits like “Hit Em Up” is now the featured figure in a collection of five watches. While the intention behind this collaboration was to commemorate 2Pac’s “legacy and timeless style,” according to a press release, it has stirred mixed reactions among fans. Some have expressed their disapproval, questioning the choice of such a partnership. The release of the collection aligns with the 50th anniversary of hip-hop. And commemorates the 27th anniversary of Shakur’s passing in September 1996.

These timepieces come with price tags ranging from $175 to $600. However, some people are not too happy. One fan, in particular, exclaimed “WHO APPROVED THIS BULLSH**?” They went on to draw a parallel with Biggie Smalls, another legendary rapper, asking whether his estate would ever permit his likeness to be associated with a product he didn’t endorse. The sentiment was clear – this decision seemed questionable at best. Some people did seem to support the cause, with comments such as “I want one right now. The black one!” and “Need this ASAP!”

Fans Are Not Happy About The 2Pac Watches

Another fan chimed in with a two-word response: “TOM WHALLEY.” The mention of Tom Whalley, a prominent exec in the music industry, hints at potential involvement in the decision-making process regarding this partnership. The news of 2Pac’s image being tied to Nixon watches has undoubtedly raised eyebrows within the hip-hop community and among loyal fans. It prompts discussions about the careful handling of an artist’s legacy, especially when it comes to posthumous collaborations and endorsements.

2Pac’s legacy continues to resonate strongly in the world of hip-hop and beyond. However, the controversy surrounding this partnership serves as a reminder of the complexities involved in preserving and honoring an artist’s memory. It also underscores the importance of ensuring that such collaborations align with the artist’s values and authentic style. In other news, progress has been made in Tupac’s murder trial recently. Las Vegas police arrested Duane Keith “Keefe D” Davis for the murder of Tupac Shakur, nearly 27 years after the incident. Keep reading for more news on HNHH.
