Travis Scott And Texas “Stampede” Video Criticized After Astroworld Tragedy

Travis Scott will always be synonymous with the 2021 Astroworld tragedy. It was one of the most tragic hip-hop incidents of the 21st century, and the rapper was criticized by fans for the way he publicly handled the situation. Scott’s career has continued to thrive in the years since, but a recent Instagram post rubbed fans the wrong way. The post saw the University of Texas football team “stampede” the camera next to Scott. Many felt the post was disrespectful to the memory of those who lost their lives at the Astroworld festival.

The Instagram post was part of Scott’s “Jack Goes Back To College” rollout. The rapper partnered with various sports companies to launch an NCAA fashion brand, and the University of Texas was the second stop on his promo tour. In isolation, the video of the Longhorns storming the field is inoffensive. The UT account added the caption: “POV: Travis Scott pulls up to practice,” furthering the celebratory intention. However, the context of what happened at Astroworld was not lost on the rest of the world. Viewers took to the comment section in droves to voice their displeasure over the post and its seeming lack of awareness.

Scott’s UT Post Was Labeled Insensitive

It’s easy to see why. Firstly, Scott is still dealing with lawsuits from the horrific 2021 incident. Secondly, the rapper is actively promoting the same aggressive energy that led to the death of nine people at said incident. Fans were particularly bothered by the end of the Instagram video, when the football players are seen stomping over the camera as though it were a person on the ground. Not a good look at all. Some IG users called the post “disturbing,” while others criticized Scott’s marketing team for allowing such a mishap to occur.

Travis Scott has offered condolences over the Astroworld tragedy despite the ongoing lawsuits. During a 2023 interview with Rolling Stone, the rapper admitted to being “devastated” by what happened. “I always think about it,” he admitted. “Those fans were like my family. You know, I love my fans to the utmost.” Scott discussed the incident on the EUPHORIA album cut “My Eyes,” which he deemed his favorite song on the album. “The song is emotional to me,” he told GQ. “And that verse means a lot to me.”

Travis Scott Launches “First-Of-Its-Kind” NCAA Collection At LSU Campus

Travis Scott is a mogul in every sense of the word. The rapper/producer has excelled when it comes to broadening his influence outside of music, and his latest collaboration is proof. Scott launched a brand new NCAA collection that’s being touted as the “first-of-its-kind”, and he did so at LSU campus. The collection will offer designs based on 28 universities from around the nation, including Alabama, Georgia, Houston, and Louisiana State University.

The “Jack Goes Back To College” collection launched on April 3. Scott collaborated with three other notable brands to bring the collection to life, including Fanatics, Lids, and Mitchell & Ness. You can purchase “Jack Goes Back To College” items through each brand’s platforms, as well as Scott’s official website. The collection consists of t-shirts, crewnecks, hoodies, shorts, and more, and will priced between $68 and $160. The rapper commemorated the launch of the “Jack Goes Back To College” line by meeting with LSU students and signing merchandise. He even signed one student’s arm.

The rapper also posed with several notable LSU athletes, including Flau’jae Johnson, Jayden Daniels and Angel Reese. Scott even appeared on Reese’s Instagram Live, asserting that LSU is going to “make it to the league.” Scott masterminded the “Jack Goes Back To College” collection with businessman Michael Rubin, who was also on hand during the LSU unveiling. Rubin has been effusive in his praise for moguls like Scott and Tom Brady, as evidenced by an Instagram post he made back in May 2023.

“Thank you Tommy and Trav – what an amazing discussion,” he wrote. “Can’t wait to watch my guys kill it in football and in business.” Scott’s LSU stop was the first of what will ultimately be a three-stop tour. The rapper moved on to the University of Austin on April 4, where he participated in a business and entrepreneurship discussion with Rubin. The third and final stop on the “Jack Goes Back To College” mini-tour will be the bookstore at the University of Southern California.

Drake Puts His Middle Fingers Up At All His Haters In New Instagram Post

It’s been a turbulent week for the biggest rapper in the world. While he’s been hitting tour stops on his series of It’s All A Blur shows, he’s also found himself beefing with numerous frequent collaborators. It started when Future & Metro Boomin dropped their highly-anticipated collaborative album WE DON’T TRUST YOU last week. The album featured the song “Like That” where Kendrick Lamar used his guest verse to take shots at both Drake and J. Cole.

The song became the most talked about rap moment of the year so far and the more people weighed in the more beefs it seemed to spark. One of the biggest was with Travis Scott. Video showed Scott backstage during Future and Metro Boomin’s Rolling Loud set encouraging them to play the Drake diss. Drizzy reacted by pretending to shoot at a prop of Scott’s head during a performance of their collaboration “Meltdown.” That came in addition to beef with Rick Ross that resulted in the two rappers unfollowing each other on Instagram. Now Drizzy is seemingly addressing all of it in his new Instagram post. Check out what he shared with his fans below.

Drake’s Newest Instagram Post

Another beef he’s tangentially involved with relates to Sexyy Red and Joe Budden. Budden made some claims on his podcast last week about how Drake must be getting paid to hang out with Sexyy Red. He couldn’t see any way that Drizzy enjoys Red’s company like that, despite the fact that they keep crossing paths.

Red herself clapped back pretty quickly. Her first response was a simple one when she went on Twitter to call Budden “dumb” for the comments. A few days later she hit back again sharing an NSFW video of her twerking on Drake while the pair are on stage performing together as evidence of why he might enjoy being around her. What do you think of Drake’s newest Instagram post? Who do you think he intended for the post to be aimed at? Let us know in the comment section below.

Pusha T Laughs at Drake’s Mob Talk, Says Not a ‘Pinky Nail’ Touched Him

Pusha-T Claims 'They Won't Publish' a Children's Book He's Been Trying To Write For Years

Pusha T has reentered the chat. With a run of heavy hitters targeting Drake, The Boy’s No. 1 nemesis is laughing off his “Mob Ties.”

A user on X wrote: “I just wanted to point out that after all these years of mob talk from Drake, nobody ever laid a finger on
@PUSHA_T”

And Pusha T had time, writing back, “Not a pinky nail…🤣

In July 2023, Drake reignited the beef and drug King Push’s longtime friend Pharrell Williams into the drama.

Drake appears on Travis Scott’s UTOPIA album and goes right back at Pusha T, but references the historic chains he purchased that once belonged to Pharrell. Let Drake tell it; he melted them down already.

“Man, fuck all that spinning the narrative shit
I melt down the chains I bought from your boss
Give a fuck about all of that heritage shit
Since V not around the members done hung up the Louis
They not even wearing that shit”

– Drake

Drake purchased the Jacob & Co. skateboard pendant that Pharrell once wore frequently. It was part of an online auction and sold for $103K. Drake was then spotted with the chain in St. Barth’s and the “Jumbotron Shit Poppin” video. He is also believed to have purchased other pieces of Pharrell’s chain.

Drake was done with his jewelry purchases, promoting the single, The Boy showed off Tupac’s ring which soared past $1 million at Sotheby’s to promote the single.

Travis Scott Joins Drake For 'Sicko Mode' During Toronto Tour Stop

Is Drake and Travis Scott‘s relationship on the rocks? The fallout from the shots fired by Future and Kendrick Lamar toward Drake on the We Don’t Trust You album continues.

In case you have been hiding under a rock, Kendrick Lamar released a verse that was hot, targeting Drake and J. Cole. After the release, social media recalled Travis Scott asking Future and Metro Boomin to play the then-unreleased song at Rolling Loud.

It seems kinda of sketchy, right? Mainly since the song contained a verse targeting his “SICKO MODE” and “MELTDOWN” collaborator. Then there is also the note that Scott is featured on “Type Shit” on the album.

With all of that said Drake may have responded. During the It’s All A Blur tour, there was a floating Travis Scott head prop. During The Boy’s visit to the Tri-State area over the weekend, Drake acted as if he was shooting Scott’s head, resulting in fireworks exploding around the figure. You can see the moment below.

Drake Fuels Beef Rumors With Travis Scott By “Shooting” At La Flame Head Prop During “MELTDOWN” Performance

The whole hip-hop world is awaiting a response from Drake after the fury of disses that Kendrick Lamar sent his way. It has been such a smashing success not only for the genre to bring that competitive nature back, but also for the charts. Metro Boomin and Future’s WE DON’T TRUST YOU will be at the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 200. Additionally, “Like That,” the song with incredible K-Dot verse, is also poised to reach the top of the Hot 100. Drake has been sending some low-key responses toward the Cali MC as of late, but Travis Scott is also receiving some shots as well.

That is at least what some people are speculating online anyway, after a recent It’s All A Blur – Big As The What? Tour performance. Drake was playing his most recent collaboration with Travis Scott, “MELTDOWN,” from UTOPIA. According to some footage from the show gathered from TMZ Hip Hop, he sent some “gunfire” at a head prop of Travis. Apparently, he does it at every show when Drizzy’s lyric, “Like TV producers we, grr, we airing this s***,” comes up.

Drake Unloads On Travis Scott’s Head

There are some theories floating around that Drake now has beef with one of his biggest collaborators because of this. One of the main arguments for this is because Travis was begging Metro and Future to play “Like That” at Rolling Loud before the album dropped. Scott is not the only rapper “taking a side” in this feud between Dot and Drake. Rick Ross was also seen playing the track while riding in the back of his car. Also, LeBron James was vibing to the track before the Lakers last game at home. Drake wound up seeing that video and liked the post.

What are your thoughts on Drake “shooting” a Travis Scott prop at his recent tour performance and fans creating beef rumors? What kind of message do you think Drizzy is sending by doing this? How much longer will it take for him to respond to Kendrick Lamar? If and when he does, will it be a stronger verse? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Travis Scott And Playboi Carti’s ‘Fe!n’ Video Is Every Rager’s Deepest, Dark, And Dizzying Fantasy

Yesterday (March 30), Travis Scott made his long-awaited return to Saturday Night Live.

Although the “KPop” rapper didn’t appear in any of the evening’s sketches, he did treat the audience to two performances of tracks from his latest album, Utopia (“My Eyes” and “Fe!n” featuring Playboi Carti). With all attention on him, he figured it would be the perfect time to share the official visual of the project’s most popular track.

So, over on Scott’s YouTube channel, he shared his Gabriel Moses-directed video for “Fe!n.” The cinematic visual features Scott and Carti in the shadows of a black room as he spirals around the varying parts of himself, making for an exciting watch. Scott’s dramatic rotation and lively response make the video a visual representation of every rager’s deepest dark and dizzying fantasy brought to film.

Scott’s live performance style for the track has received mixed reviews. Rapper-turned-podcaster Joe Budden outright bashed his 2024 Grammys rendition. “Get the f*ck off the stage,” he shouted during an episode of his namesake podcast.

However, supporters have made “Fe!n” Scott’s mandatory repeat track during his live shows. On the Utopia Tour, the Oklahoma crowd made him perform the song ten times.
